I agree with you. Ive dated and have been in relationship with black men but they tried to control and disrespect me. But I've noticed that a white man treats you like a queen

I agree with what was said earlier I'm a mixed race. I'm half black and half Puerto Rican. As a child I was told never tell anyone that I was mixed because people wouldn't like me. SO I went with being black only. I remembered getting hit in the mouth for speaking spanish to my mother as a child. But today as an adult I date any race. And have since about the 5th grade.

I have dated Caucasian gentlemen since I was 9 years old when the first boy I kiss was my neighbor who was a young caucasian boy. Now mind you at that time people against inter-racial relationships was still a tabu and many African Americans still habor ill feelings and my family was hard press about me dating out side our race but as long as I like the gentlemen and they treated me right they could not say much. Well that was many years ago now one of those same uncles married a Caucasian woman and I have others in my family including my mother also are dating out of our race. But what is race really there are so many of us including myself that has so many different race with in ourselves even those who think other wise. I believe if you really trace your family tree back far enough you will find that you more then likely yourself are of an inter-racial family of some sort. What are we anyway are we a color or just the human race with different shades. As long as you and your partner are happy then all else will soon fall in place and think about it real love is not found easily. So are you going too let your possible soulmate or best friend the person when all else gose wrong and eveyone else turns on you they are the person that will always be by your side. Even when your family is not talking too you they are there for you gand you are willing too let them go because of what others think. Are you willing to give up your happiness just because someone else is trying too push their hatered and closed minded issues upon you. I am not willing to be lonely for someone else who probably has some one and more then likely are miserable and just want me too miserable to.
Others are followers because they are afraid too lead I myself prefer too be a head of the pack not behind. Most of those people criticizing us secretly wish they had the courage to go where do to leap out and grab their happiness instead of settling for less.

I beg to differ with you, only on one point. That is not a decent body, but a truly great one. Admiralty1 Scott

Nowadays educated parents are very open to diversity. Regardless of your color you are accomodated with warmth and respect. In my observation with the group I'm in, parents never descriminate the ladies or gentlemen that kids bring home. But they do raise eyebrows with one's manners, grooming and aspirations in life.

My family would be happy and welcome them. I have brought white gentlemen home before, and they were greeted warmly. My nephew is married to a white young lady and his sister is married to a white gentleman. They know their culture and history so people can't say that they are trying to be something that they are not. We have strong family values and look at people for who they are.

no one deserves your friendship or time of the day - if they can not see past color. If we had no eyes to see, our hearts would be the only guidance ...when I see friendship, partner, etc. it's got nothing to do with color except if we are talking about the color of their heart - Red and loving.

I live in a diverse neighborhood ;) But it is true what someone else said: "what would your parents and family thing if you brought him/her home?"
