I would build a new type of a development that provides greater flexibility in tending to the needs of the elderly and disabled. Current facilities do not properly take care of their social or physical needs, expecially for people with limited funds, -- or no funds. Current nursing homes are sad, sad places and I have a much better idea.

If money were no object, I'd get into something like writing, singing, or acting. Unfortunately I'm not good enough at any of them where anybody would actually PAY me to do them.

Great topic - I'd probably be a writer if money were no object. I think some of the other persons posting in forums should consider the same, there's some great material here.

Do what I am doing right now: Live life, love, enjoy interesting people and conversations, write, work, mentor, laugh, travel, be grateful, be generous, seek knowledge, pursue passion, live below my means to ensure wealth, volunteer, be a friend-a confidant; fall in love with my own life.

What I do for work has to be challenging, but how I do it is what creates satisfaction for me.

Anyone can do this.

I'd spend each and every moment with both my children, helping to educate them, but also have a blast! No matter what we were doing so that I could enjoy every precious minute with them as they grow into adults! So many things are missed because we do have to work to provide for them and the harder you work, etc. the "better" life you give. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone didn't have to worry if their child would go hungry, have clothes not desirable or torn and dirty? If they could all afford medical, dental, etc.? I grew up without many things and that made me so determined to provide an "easier" life for my children. What's sad is all that you have to miss out on to do so. I am my own boss and make my own hours, but even then you still miss so much! So I would spend every minute of my time with them, hearing their laugther, wiping their tears, having watergun fights on a hot summers day, snowballs in winter, tasting rain in Spring, reading books and making up our own stories. I do it all now, but not as much as I would love to! =)

If money were no object?
I'd do plenty of things.
Do all the tests to see how my health truly is.
Help people and animals (donate things and money to the poor and disaster places like the cause of hurricane Katrina, create an animal sanctuary for abandoned and mistreated pets, donate to help save endangered species)
Design my own clothes, alter cars 2 fast 2 furious style, buy a recording studio to record music, maybe write and direct some movies, create a horse riding school and also have competitions so less fortunate people could win lessons to ride them free, travel to learn about other cultures...
Help family and friends.

Work hard to earn more and help causes with what I earn....

Anyone want to help me with any of them? Doubt anyone will, but worth asking ;)

I would open a specialized children's home that also helps children with dual diagnosis needs. I would also spend more time on my art and writing.

Well, I've been active in motorsports for the past ten years or so, and now that money really is no object - I am spending (wasting) more money than I could have ever imagined on this passion of mine.

Just received delivery of a Viper Competition Coupe and am very busy "pretending" to be a professional racecar driver.

That should hold me for a couple of years, and then we'll see.

By the way, so as not to sound too self indulgent - this was all done, after I looked after members of my family, some long time friends and several charities that I've supported for years.

If money were no object I would travel the country buying vacant lots and rundown homes to build or rehab homes for the homeless. I realize that we have the potential to provide shelter for every human being, but we choose not to make it a priority. Think about it was homelessness a platform for either candidate in the last Presidential Elections?

My "money is no object " job .. would be far less noble than what most of you have mentioned.I would move to Maui and be a valet parking attendant at on one the beautiful resorts on Kaanapali beach. Then by day work on my golf game so I could qualify for the Senior tour when I turn 50...shallow , selfish , not responsible ..??? For sure.. So I would never do it ..but ,I have voiced my opinion. In a serious vein... I will quit what ever I am doing should my parent's health fail and will move to take care of them .

That is what i did, i could not stand to see the old people suffer, and have to go into homes, i wanted them to be able to die in their own homes. It really is a matter of giving up your life for them... i had to be there 24/7 when they became bedridden...(they had no money left or i may have been able to hire help, but i couldnt afford it on what i made, and pay my own expenses also)... It was the hardest job i've ever had, helping someone die with dignity. But no amount of money, and no occupation, could have taken preference, I would do it all over again.
So i have to say that if money were no object, i'd just help people on a larger scale.

If money were not an object, I would spend as much time as possible with those I love. Time is our most precious asset. When it is gone, it's gone. When we lose someone we love, we need to have the memories of the love shared.

I would do as much as possible for those who would never be in a position to pay it back. Just a little of what we have in abundance will do so much for those who have an abundance of nothing. It makes me cry that what I have spent on a pair of shoes will feed 15 senior citizens for a month in Haiti. Money is not every thing but to those who have none it can mean life or death. To make a difference in the lives of others will last long after money or the need for it is gone.

I would make sure that I left a legacy for those I brought into this world and theirs. I would leave my books, journals and pictures. How many of us have a photo album of our great, great grands. Most of us have just a few pics.

For myself, I would immerse myself in music. I would learn to play the guitar as passionately as Santana, I would see every beautiful view I could find. I want to sit on a hillside in a field of beautiful wild flowers and just listen to life all around me.

Finally, I would want the end result to be like this quote I recently heard. 'If you can walk with crowds and not lose your virtue and stand with kings and not lose your common touch..' WOW.

Would love to do medical missions.

seenight,

I saw what you wrote and was wondering if you have ever heard of Mercy Ship ? It is a boat full of medical professional and regulars, they sail throughout the Carribeans and help many of the nations poor who can't afford medical service..the boat docks at the Port and the people who needs assistant just come in like a regular hospital.

all people are volunteers except a few, you pay your own way but you get the benefit of meeting nice people and helping out to save lives and other good services and travel the Carribeans.

I just attended a great seminar about creating one's mission in life and also figuring out what vehicles would support that vision (i.e. how can you make money while living your vision). Thoroughly enjoyed it and discovered that my vision and mission are aligned.

If money was no object. I would be a stay at home wife and mother. I would volunteer at my youngest son's elementary school. If I had the time I would also volunteer, at a hospital, in the ped's ward.
I would make sure our family took two vacations a year. One with the kids and one without the kids.

Over all, I would just try to make it a good life for my husband and kids.

I love what I do for a living! I'd do it for free! I carve 3D picture murals out of stone. It's a twist on the typical mosaic or inlay type murals normally made. I invented this unique style after working as a tile setter for a couple years. Currently I spend 2/3 of my time making murals, tile setting the rest. The truth be told- I have to admit that I carve stone just for fun- it's what I do in my spare time! People often say - If money were no object- you'd do it for free. As is, I find it difficult to tell people what I want to be paid for a mural- I often give them away!

I am lucky to have discovered the whole industry (tile installation)It saved my life. Being a small business manager for 13 years never paid more than $10 an hour. Being a certified paralegal was part time at best.(small Island) Creating my company Makena Tile 3 years ago changed my life! Self employment is awesome. I get to work very flexible hours, very part time and still make more money than I ever thought possible. I don't think I could ever go back to working from 9-5 for someone else! Now can I spend a lot of time playing with my children. They are both my best friends. I think a child's relationship with their parents effects their whole life.(My mother never played with me)

If money were really no object- I'd like to do newborn foster care. I would also like to do child abuse/neglect intervention and rescue. I do this now- but not officially.
