I would continue doing Volunteer work for the Regional Blood Center. I love to drive. Picking up blood or delivering it for the patients use is far beyond my greatest expectations. It's a gig that has it's own rewards. Just think, the blood I pick up or deliver may be saving a life that I will never know. It's a silent reward.

Oh You Poor Lib!! Blah blah blah!! I'm so sick of you Michael Moore groupies!! You probably believe that if we just ask the terrorist to stop bombing us then they will somehow develop a conscience and be our best friends. Oh yea, 911 was an inside job. Go ahead tell us more about your ridiculous theory of how Bush killed our men and women and crippled our economy to revenge his father?s foe Sadaam!! Shut up!!

You live in a free country as a result of war and the price our forefathers paid!! You dishonor the flag and the men and women that have died for it with your bogus gibberish!! If you?re so opposed move to France, they gladly welcome traitors and quitters!

Why don't you cancel your high speed internet service, sell your computer, turn off your lights, stop the midnight snacking and send the money you saved over sees to aid those you speak of!!

It's so easy to point the finger and do nothing about it!! Typical Liberal... A lot of moaning with no action or solutions!!

I seem to be guided to threads like this one these days as I find myself contemplating the rest of my life on this earth. I'm currently on stress leave from a job where I was hired to HELP people yet I am not allowed to help. I've gotten in trouble over and over when I was found out. The recurring themes in my life are children, elderly, those that appear not to have a voice of their own, standing up for the weak, healing, healing, healing. I can't get away from hands on healing and encouraging others to accept with gratitude the gifts they're given each day, especially those that we perceive as difficult ones.
This is my third week away from my job and while I'm tired and worn out, weak myself, I do need a reason to get up in the morning and contribute. I've always worked; whether it is for money or for nothing. I've always gotten so much more out of those deeds I did for nothing and with no expectation to receive something in return than I have from those I did because I was paid to do it. I do realize (intellectually anyways) that I, myself, need healing right now. I feel like I'm going through another divorce yet I know all's well; I know that the abyss I'm in is meant to create an even stronger, more compassionate and greater woman than I already am........the difference will be that I will actually see myself as that person. I pray for strength to walk out very very soon and offer my services at a local hospital, school, nursing home, animal shelter or whatever else I may be called to do while I do my own healing. Thank you for this thread and an opportunity to voice my most personal and private thoughts.

Honestly, I would help others. First off I'd have a large plot of land and I would take in all types of abused animals...............not to keep....but to help.

I would also want to travel and assist in a variety of ways in poor countries where the people are in need of education.

I'd be a animal/world volunteer....and help out in any way I could.

And that would be the best job for me.

I LOVE my work. I work for myself and call my own shots. I take clients and tell THEM what they will pay me. I write articles that newspapers pay me for too. It's a giant kick to be able to be creative every day.

If anybody wants some advice, I suggest starting now, a little bit at a time, and share your creative expression with the world. You'll NEVER regret delegating a portion of your busy life to creativity. We need it like we need food and water.

Peace.

I like my idea of selling champagne by the glass out in the bay to sun induced thirsty lunatics on powerboats better. best part is when is slow, you can lean back and sip it for yourself!

Folks, I'm a cost analyst by day, working for the Defense Department. I'd love more than anything to NOT give my energy to the U.S. military, given what's going on in the world today; unfortunately the job pays more than anything else I can find!

So here I am thinking, if I could do anything I wanted for a living, what would it be?

I dont' know the answer yet (because right now all I want is a vacation and a good night's sleep) so while I'm thinking, ask yourself, if you didn't need the money, what would YOU be doing for a living today?

"Nothing" is not an answer . . . I'm presuming you'd actually want to do something productive!

I'd--open--a-floating--bookstore/coffeeshop--off---the--coast--of-a-resort--and--enjoy--serving--people--all--day--that--would--marvel--fresh--drinks--&--other--stuff--was--avaoilable--out--in--the--bay!!---late addition, I've added a wine bar with some good cheese and fois gras mousse!!

Only by giving and sharing can we truly have wealth. Fancy cars and big mansions are not true wealth. Money will soon be obsolete. There is no Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve Bank, is a privately owned bank, and nothing to do with Federal, anything. There is no law that says you must pay income tax... only guns and threats, that say you have to pay income tax. Did you know that the money we have spent on weapons to mkurder innocent people... could have fed millions for an entire life time. Did you know that one day of not bombing people, could buy a whole city 2 bedroom houses... or one week's expenditures on war, could end world hunger for good? Is you Lamborgini worth more than an innocent child's life? Money is nothing but an object, and soon it will be worth nothing. What will you do then? This war illegal, unfounded, and treasonous... and we are paying for it. When are you going to stand up to this lying scum of a government, and say "enough is enough"? There were never any terrorists other than the insiders who orchestration the events of 9/11/01, as a pretext for their war agenda. When are you going to stand up against these liars, and make them PAY?! Money is only an object. Stop the war machine... don't pay for it! Life is no object!

If cash money was not an object I would have a couple of trucks completely paid for and hauling freight that makes the country go. Of course I would have to charge something cause the fuel bills have to be paid on those big trucks and maintenance has to be run every so often to keep those big trucks rolling out there. Take care every one. Charlie

I enjoy my current job & would probably actually do it without pay :-D. However, that's not realistic given my lifestyle.

If money were no object; I would go the entrepreneurial route. I would pilot an Exploration Charter Line to the deepest uncharted seas and to the brightest stars in the sky. Everyone that dared would have the opportunity to experience their closest fantasies in deep space; realize their dreams come true at the core of the earth. And for the cerebral/Einstein types...secrets of the universe revealed (LOL).

Easy question... I would publish all of my sister's writings... poems, essays, etc.

Then, donate money to stem cell research.
Want to know why?....my sister has Parkinson's Disease.

Oh LOL for a living! That's what I get for not reading closely enough! Well there is the writing thing, and I do have education to support that possibility. Or even less romantic- I like to edit and proofread, that would be a nice job!

Otherwise, the entrepreneurial spirit is pretty strong in me- I mentioned in my (erroneous) previous note about hiring good people and paying them well. I have 4 plans in mind right now- a novelty restaurant, a spa with a twist which I shall not reveal, and a business whose goal it is to encourage reading and writing in children, and number 4 is naughty and already underway and I shan't reveal more of this either! LOL

What a dream! And it happened recently for a friend of mine! Her family bought an extraordinary historical home, have been beautifully redoing it, and they have begun to donate a great deal to charities.

Why not! I have always dreamed of a magnificent home- but I want to build it! lol And I have pet charities, too- I volunteer with a birds of prey group and I would love for them to get a significant windfall to make their work easier. I would love to travel more, but you don't necessarily need lots of money to do that, just sufficient time! I would tend to my health better. :( And to that of my loved ones. I would learn one of the languages I know to fluency. I'd like to start several fun businesses and employee good people and provide them with decent benefits. I'd write, and how! I'd host great, but casual and intimate, dinner parties! I'd dance. I'd outfit a topnotch band of elephant hunter hunters! I say anyone who kills elephants is fair game themselves! I'd go back for more schooling- I want to keep learning things my whole life. I'd buy a really nice necklace. You better believe I'd have a float tank! (Used to be termed a Sensory Deprivation Tank). I'd look for ways to be a power of good for the planet and its people- because even limitless money is going to be transitory so hopefully your presence here makes a difference to someone in a meaningful way. And if we are REALLY talking about limitless funds- I'd siphon lots to people doing research on the Star Trek Beam Me Up Scotty Research! Imagine all the time, aggravation and pollution saved! LOL that was fun :)
