I dated a sociopath recently. He actually sunk his own ship and I bailed. Sad state of affairs that he can't feel what others feel and will not have what others have. I love the guy,, but in reality he could never love me no matter how hard he fakes it! Dodged a bullet. whew....
"Why do you start so many threads on personality disorders?"

After another thread on disorders, it makes me wonder what you men do with your time as it would seem you all have a fascination with mental illnesses or disorders of the personality.
I think you ignorant men are enough to drive any woman insane so no wonder we end up mentally ill eh! we have to tolerate the likes of you and can just imagine the topic of boring conversations you hold when at your little parties of male bonding.
Out of interest, do you ignorant men have torturers at hand or do polygraph tests that you perform on women before you date them to see if she is "normal" as i am curious?
Heres my test results
Q) Do you talk to yourself?
A) just let me ask my other personality. can i get back to you on that one?
(inconclusive result)
Q) Do you consider yourself to be "normal"
A) Yes. But my mother isnt. She was abducted by aliens and they brought her back. Does that make them an intellegent species?
(inconclusive result)
Ok perhaps i am a little mad but he drove me to it.
(true result)
Q) Do you forgive men who ejaculate in 2 minutes?
A) of course. I wouldnt want them to feel inadequate when i know they are and they say they are just tired.
(true result)
Q) Do you date men for money?
A) Depends how much they are worth
(inconclusive result)
Q) Do you masturbate?
A) No way. Im a good girl.
(lie detected)
Q) Do you think your good to date?
A) If I lie will it make a difference?
(inconclusive result)
I could go on and on.
But one thing i do know is...
Perhaps us women need to address some male issues? i could have some real fun with this topic.
wwww123456 write: BigBozMaam, why don't you start a thread about the world trade center and the media lies. You have expressed your concerns on many threads, and have been asked to but out of the thread because you were off the subject matter of the thread.
AND
Please read all of the information about the various conspiracy theories at the following web site.
7 World Trade Center - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This site also list many of the studies that have been completed, discusses the building plans, etc. etc. They (Wikipedia)explain why the building had to fall down straight, etc. etc. Many pages of reading on this site, which could never be covered on a MM thread.
OK so NOW who's discussing this in the wrong thread? It appears to me that YOU are!
I DID make a thread dedicated to this subject, with many posts on it. Guess what? ...it disappeared, just like an airplane that vaporized into the Pentagon!
I don't think that the 'armed conflict and terrorism' thread is an inappropriate one for this subject, nor do i feel that 'world wrestling match' is either, or 'psychopaths'.
I'm not deleting anything i post, but 'someone' has deleted my entire thread on the subject, and i'll post wherever i see fit to.
And by the way, i read the entire building plans by the architects, and the engineers. They say these buildings were designed to withstand the impact of airplanes... they design that feature in most high rises, but certainly in these they did overkill features to withstand many aiplane crashes, and not fall down! But then again, sounds like you are relying solely on another tainted document, and not even looking at other 'facts'. C'mon you old fart, do you really think this is the first time our government has done something corrupt, and extensively led you on a wild goose chase??
No, but I have noticed that usually the people who don't like me often have a personality disorder of some sort.
Who said i don't like you. I think you are a very interesting study on personality disorders, and you should be examined closer. That is not a basis for dislike, only concern. In fact, I love that you are such a classic example of closed minded ignorance and are exposing it publicly. You truly bring about the awereness that the average wwww.joeblow actually belives everything the media says, and doesnt even question what they actually are looking at. Thank you!

WWWW, ever heard the expression... "the one who smelt it, ...dealt it?"
I think that threads like this or similar are informative and allows to demystify mental health problems! People who can not bear to talk about show hm!...I can understand that, opening a box of Pandore, it's not easy! Which, brings me back to the subject and also what we might know commonly about those disorders...for example bi-polarity is a medical word i think, to explain an emotional problem...that only allows then to developp the habit to just prescribe medication...Counselling, therapy, psychoanalysis are also helpful and, combined with the pills, can evolve in a way to diminish them...to finally stop them...This is important because speaking of the so-called bi-polarity...( i would call it otherwise)...or manic-depressive states...this is the part that is considered near psychosis...so, a specialist in this field is best to be consulted...In addition...it's also possible to look a couple of generations back to understand in the present what the person is experiencing and discovering that there is a logic to the issue.or if you prefere behaviour..It's fascinating...but who would go there...nowdays we take very little time to mourn...and what has give to us as an uncousciousness heritage by the previous generations...
ahmbelle write: you know what SCARES me is the original topic poster has OBVIOUSLY no clue about 'mental' d/o and this thread has lasted for SOOOO LONG!?
I don't think the word "mental" was used.
Personality disorders was the term used.
And, I have certainly met a few people with personality disorders.
im knowing here all kind of people with serious personality disordes, bi-polar people, alutination people, delusion of grandeur people bigest lies people.
As far as funtioning, whether in any profession, if treated properly will live a normal life. They do have their trigger points but many have learnd when something could happen and take the proper measures.
I met my Cuz here in Florida after 15 yrs. or so and i also met his wife who is Bi-polar. She is sweet and a lovely woman but he tells me at times she has signs show. She maintains very well. Stress seems to be her trigger but overall there is nothing about her that would make you think she has that problem.
The best analogy I can use is the carny game Pop-a-mole. One symptom of bi-polarity pops up. You whack it down with drugs, therapy and love, and a new one pops up instantaneously.
No cure, no rest, little hope, pure realism. One foot in front of the other.
I am sure you know what it's all about.
Indeed I do. Funny though, waaaayyyy back in this very lengthy thread and I was fairly new and so answered the question as given: share experiences....I was virtually chastised as being cruel, mean, insensitive or some such other words because essentially, I have chosen not to interact with that sister who chooses not to treat her disorder. There's been a lot of talk and facts about this disorder, but few have really shared real experiences. Mine was even general in nature, I couldn't bring myself to share specific experiences in a public forum.
Unfortuantely since this is your child in this situation, you don't really have that option. My heart goes out to you. It is one foot in front of the other, every single day.
Lombard write: I beg to differ about bi-polar disorder being curable. It's only treatable. I have lived with a bi-polar child for many years. It's no picnic.
Two beggars then..(smile)....about bi-polar being curable. I do believe it is - and should be - treated. Having a sister who's bi-polar, I also know it's no picnic being with or around someone who has this polarity. I cannot imagine what it must be like as a parent.
