Which to show my complete honesty gave him the user ID and password to this new account and set it up for online banking since he was out of the country and unable to cash this check himself. I used the minimum ammount of money to open this account so i am not out anything but i had to prove my innocence to the bank thank God i saved all instant messages to archive. i still do not get it i never claimed to be wealthy and soon as check showed up as returned on the online banking site his profile popped back up on millionaire match he still was aking me to send funds to him claimed he was in s africa and did not have access to his accounts and needed me to wire him money so he could get home to me and clear this up...lol.....10M+ annual income sounds like anyone with that kind of money would never be stuck...he claims to live in ottawa canada...

    Hi Ingrid...
If you send me the emails, I live in Ottawa and I'll see if I can get the jerk arrested if you like.

I am new to this site and was just reading the message boards. I am absolutely amazed at the amount of people who actually sent money to an online stranger!! You will never make money that way. And if you ARE wealthy, I can't imagine how you got that way with such a lax financial attitude. Wise up people!!

Thank you for your reply Scripps. I contacted my family's business attorney. He instructed me in exactly what to put in the police report so that Western Union would not send the matter to collections. I was not excited about contacting the attorney previously because we use him to run the company. Mostly for real estate transactions. Meaning there could be some breach of confidentiality.

I did request his assistance, and it appears that I'm no longer responsible to pay the $2100. Western Union will not report me to collections and place a derogatory notation with the credit bureaus. My credit was my primary concern in resolving this matter.

Please, everyone be safe. A.J. Miller lived in a luxury New York apartment, had several expensive vehicles, and a staff. That did not prevent him from participating in fraudulent activities to steal $3700 from me. It can happen, even with a person who appears to otherwise be truthful and affectionate.

    Blessings

AJ Miller defrauded me out of $3700. His name was AJMiller66 on millionairematch. I filed claims with my bank and credit card company when it happened in Feb '05. My bank and credit card company credited me back the full amounts. Unfortunately, now Western Union is seeking collection from me because my credit card company deducted the payment.

I am entering Yale Divinity School this Fall 2005, and I can truly not afford to waste paying money I was defrauded out of. I have to pay Western Union $2100. If you can contribute even a $100 in helping me to resolve this online dating fraud scam then I would be very greatful. Please e-mail me.

J.C.Puny defrauded me of $5,000,000. I talked to my bank and they said, "Who are you?"
I'm about to enter Beauty Culture School and need money for combs, scissors, aromatherapy oil and corn plasters so I can't afford to pay for it out of my own stocks and bonds.
If you can contribute even a $1000 in $20 bills to my pribate account in the Bahamas, helping me to resolve this online would make me very grateful. And I mean REALLY grateful. Wink Wink.
Please e-mail me, (after you send the bucks.)
    Thanks a ....... million!

    This is not a joke!
I have filed criminal charges, but I live in California and he lives in New Jersey. The police are very uncooperative.

Washington Mutual and CitiBank did credit back the money. Now though, Western Union is directly attempting to collect the money.

    Why is this romance?
Because I truly believed this man and thought I was falling in love with him. He was living the life of a film producer in New York when I visited him. It was not until I returned to California that I found out I could locate his company in very few public resources, he changed both his cell numbers, when I called the company he supposedly had it turned out to be someone with the same name. It sounds like a late night movie, but this is not a farce.

I thought the matter was settled, until Western Union called me at 6:15am on my home telephone yesterday. Citibank credited the account and they cannot help me any further. Millionairematch as a company is also doing a terrible job, because they are providing very limited resources.

I am seeking advice from my attorney.
I am starting Yale this Fall, I work in real estate, and I believe people are naturally good. I was wrong to have such a belief. I do not think I should be responsible for a $2100 fraudulent charge though.

I'm in dire straits. I have also been defrauded. For 6 years I have been playing golf with the same golf clubs. Some of the irons are now slightly bent in the shafts and some of the club heads have minor specs. of rust. Although I've tried to keep them in pristine condition, keeping them clean and using them per the manufacaturers specs. I feel that I have been defrauded because the manufcaturer will not replace them for free.

I am interested in a set of Yonex, V-mass Tour Clubs but at this moment really can not afford them. They are currently priced at $1600.00. I really do need these clubs. My friends are laughing at me because I'm playing with these old mangled clubs and it is killing my self esteem. If you would like to donate $1 or $100 to my fund, please email me. If possible, I would like to have these clubs by the time I play in the Ohio Amateur Open (7/11/05 to 7/15/05).

    Thank you for your support.

P.S.: If you'd like to purchase advertising space on my golf shirts, I am open to that as well. I will have embroidered logos and everything for your company/donations.

    (Heck, it's worth a shot isn't it?...LMAO)

OMG....How appropriate is your plea for help...lmao...Sniff Sniff I smell B*llsh*t. I know you have not been victimized as you indicated all your funds were reimbursted. Speaking of fraud you appear to me as a DE"FRAUD"ER.

If you are about to attend Yale do yourself a favour and work for it like the rest of us. You will feel better about it trust me.

My 100.00 dollars is being donated to Sick Kids Hospital and I truly hope if anyone has spare change it will go to a worthy cause.

lol...and you want that money in attempt to stop online dating fraud?...maybe this would not be a issue if we and others had more control on allowing anyone like yourself to access the internet....lol

Report the fraud to the FBI. They have a internet site for interstate fraud somewhere, my daughter just used it on a EBAY purchase fraud. They have the power to obtain records, etc.

Shelly! My daughter is like you. She's 20 but grew up an only child. She can converse equally well with little kids, people her own age and even seniors. She isn't intimidated by authority or celebrity and most all ages like her back.

When you write your work, draw a little c in a circle just to be cautious. Then, as BC (wwwwwwwww) said, put a copy of your piece in an envelope, address it to yourself, and send it to yourself. The post office will stamp the exact date on it when mailing it back and when you receive it, just put it in your files, unopened.

It's proof, with an official government stamp on it saying the work inside was written before the date stamped on the unopened envelope. If anyone ever plagerized you later on, you could sue them for copyright infringement or violation, and your proof would be the unopened work in the envelope. Then, in court, it would be perfect evidence that could be opened by your lawyer in the presence of the court, showing your words had already been written previous to the postal date stamped on the envelope.

It's sort of the "starving artist or writer's legal copyright document!

"what kind of stuff do i have to do to copyright my work"

Just copy the words in almost any book you find and put them on your material. Date the notice. Its best to get a copy into a third party hands in case you need a witness. Might even use a notary to notarize the copy with their date/signature/stamp.

There is no central registry for copyrights. Just for trademarks.

Katie may have a better answer.
