I was clicking through a few of the blogs, but the direction this one took caught my attention. Growing up in Vegas I have yet to see a deep-heated discussion with some substance. I haven't read enough to be able to side, but I can say I can't agree with divine. Sure NY may have said something that could be misconstrued, however she held her own and was able to back up her words. That along is very attractive. Many women I've met could never hold their on a discussion like that, they'd simply resort to swearing and name-calling; I know, childish. Any who, those are my two cents. I guess I'm gonna have to start checking this to view my responses. Everyone have a great weekend!
i THINK THE ONLY UNBALANCE IS YOU DEFFINETLY INSECURE, HEY THIS WORLD IS MADE FOR EVERYONE..
IF YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE RICH DON'T NEED TO BE 6AM NEWS, IF YOU ARE BEAUTIFULL HOPE IS NATURAL, YOU SEE I DONT BELIEVE IN SURGEY I JUST WANT PEOPLE TO ACCEPT ME THE WAY I'AM
I have to say that I date a woman with money and plenty of it. She is not a prude nor is she putting me down because I dont have as much as she. She is a normal youg lady and I love her , been with her for 6 and a half years. The money is not what makes any relationship. And if that is what you are looking for then you are in bad shape. Love and respect . That is where it is at.
Wow Divine...Very well stated. I've been to HI many times,and what you stated is very much true. No,New York is no where even close to HI in terms of living cost ect. You seem so down to earth! I respect not only what you stated,but you personally. To me you sound not only to be a very fine professional,but a woman,mother,sister,and daughter that very few men could ever dream for. What I mean is that is most men are not smart enough to know a good woman when one appears,and when one has a woman such as yourself,they are too stupid to realize what they truely have...Consider going on the cruise sharp1 is trying to put togeather..I know I'm considering to go,and it would be a pleasure to meet,and talk to you..You brought up some good points,and I'd like to talk to you hopefully even before the cruise..I will have a good thought for you,and your family this evening(smile) Earnit22

As for pictures - yes the perception that forms the opinion on first look.. is not who i am .. many women know modeling helps pay tutition-- could have been a stripper but i dance like patty duke...

That's beautiful work Divine. I love artistic design that has practical function. Nicely done! ;)
As for Canada being expensive it really depends on the city. I just returned from Vancouver and it is indeed outrageously expensive......I don't know how young people starting out can ever get on the ladder. :(
Montreal, on the other hand, is, in my opinion, very affordable. For the 1.5 million you would spend on that HI tract home, you can pick up a beautifully renovated huge, 5 bedroom Victorian home in the best section of the city (parks, tree lined streets, etc..) within walking distance of downtown. And you get to live in the Paris of North America! ;)
As others have said, where one lives often has a greater impact on one's standard of living than what they earn....
Where do you find riches?
~~~~~A beggar was sitting on an old trunk by the side of the road with his hand out to passers by. He had done this for years, looking out into the crowds he seeked those who would give him spare change to survive. One day a wise man approached him and asked "What is inside your trunk". "Oh nothing" said the beggar "I've been sitting on it for years". "Open it up" said the wise man. "Waste of time" said the beggar and he stood up, lifted the lid, and showed the wise man inside. To the beggars astonishment it was full of treasure!
thank god another smart chick to join.. yes u are right 100k is not anything.. however, would i really put my income? nah.. as for chessy pics u got tht right men love it-- is it who were really are--admire a woman who does it on her own and has looks to boot.. would love to see the tiles too .. oh welcome a board!! and glad u can read between the lines.. smart chicks rule! perception its what others percieve based on what we give them-- bits and pieces-- do they have the whole picture?/ not by a long shot
sharp1 write: [. A month ago I was reading that Vancouver is due for a housing market correction. It happened once in the 80's...if it happens again, I would certainly like to pick up a property or two strictly as an investment. Even so, our high prices do not compare to London's. Yet we complain! The fact is we don't recognize how good we have it until go we somewhere like London to have our eyes opened! lol
BTW Bonnie, I just wanted to let you know that I saw you had posted Sept. 1 under the Occupations and Life forums. I have gone to read them, but they are still not showing.
How sill is this...MM has blocked the useage of the word a*t? duh, huh? lol
Vancouver is turning into a Hong Kong squat ..everywhere there are Chinese , they will cause an inevitable boom. the Chinese mainlanders are now in London and West Coast, so watch out..
Being a ghost on this forum has advantages..we have time to rethink our posting...and not shoot our mouth too fast..
I figured that Bonnie. Here on Indian land they will often sell 99 yr leases for one to build their house on. As the number of years remaining on the lease decline so does the value. And the lease can be renewed at the end of it's term. Of course, here, the leases are not nearly as expensive as in London. And leases in London will only appreciate.
Well, that is the price of properties in all major cities. Hence the next generation will need to have wealthy parents to help them pay for the deposit to a home or like Japan banks will have to set up two-generation mortgages that run beyond 60 years and only given to you if you ahve children, so your kids are already in debt at birth...lol
S4U you bet we can be thankful and appreciate our own cost of living in Canada & USA. While in London last week I looked at a couple of apartments posted in the window of a Harrod's Real Estate office. A one bedroom approx. a 1000 sqft apartment was selling for 1,875,000 pounds, which converts to approximately $4.5M Cdn or $3M USA...guess what...that's only to lease it for 40 years! After paying all that money you do not own it! Another property was selling a 45 yr lease on a 1 bedroom 1200 sqft apartment for $2,375,000 pounds.
I don't know how people manage to live and have spending money other than to share a flat with several people.
Just for info. those properties which are leasehold, i.e. 40 years onwards..meant that they are derived from a freehold or head lease own usually by a Crown estate or some renown family estate and when the lease is about to run out , you as a leaseholder could negotiate to buy another period at market price..of course provided you could afford it down the line otherwise you could sell that right .
Yes, here in London your waste bin costs a lot to be housed. Even a garage recently sold for US$350,000 and you can't live in it..lol HOuseboats on River Thames are about that price.
Versatile1 write: It's amazing how much "bashing" begins towards a person (Hmmm. a "friend" of mine) who decides to bow out & move on gracefully and peacefully after meeting someone from this site who has been deceptive in their description of themself.
These people, who somehow convince themselves that their dates will undoubtedly be interested once they meet in person after months of supposed "chemistry building" via email and phone conversations, are so offended when things die down after date #1.
I have yet to understand why people think they can lure others in when things began with deceipt and untruths. Oh well.
