Also Sharp & Weelassy,
I am not going to lie and say that I cannot afford to lose $3700. I'm 23 and I can lose it. It just means I will not be able to go on one of my international vacations this summer. Of course, I earned the money, and do not deserve to be swindled. I also have excellent credit, and my livelihood depends on my credit. I buy and mortgage property for a living. I cannot afford to have bad credit not because I cannot pay $3700, but because then it will be more difficult for me to buy my next $600k property.

This man lied and cheated me after asking me to move to New York and live with him. I honestly felt like I was falling in love with him. I do not deserve to re-pay debts for a man who used and abused me. I do not deserve to have derogatory credit behind such a man either. I asked the members on millionairematch for their help because I thought that others would agree that no woman deserves to be violated in such a way as I.
I was wrong.

Intelligent Blond,
Thank you for the reply. Surprisingly, you are speaking of two separate men I met through millionairematch
Definitely, my judgment was poor in both cases.

The first man was Saxon who I faxed my Harvard application to in order to reach Harvard on time. I didn't ever meet him in the end, and nothing bad actually ever happened with him. As far as I know, he never tried to misuse my application information.

The second man is AJ Miller who borrowed $3700 from me and then changed his numbers. He claimed that an employee had forged his name and wrote themself a $30k check. His Board of Directors put a freeze on his business account and he had $200k in outstanding checks already written. He needed the $3700 to cover the checks he already had written. He was collecting a lot of money from many people to cover the $200k. He was making phone calls non-stop and emptying all his personal accounts to cover the $200k. I was in New York with AJ Miller when all of this happened. When you need $200k in 3-5 days, you cannot get it from Bank of America. I am in the home lending/mortgage business, and it does not work that way.

I don't know what parts of his story are lies and which true. Some parts are definitely true. When I was in New York, there was a lot of money being exchanged and he certainly does have several businesses. Once I got back to California though, I had a very hard time actually locating his businesses once he disconnected his two cell phones. I'll never know the truth, but I did get my $3700 back.

I've since then met a third man through millionairematch who is a professional football player in Canada. We've made a few thousand dollars together since we've met. Things seem to be better for me now.

Hahaha! Hilarious!

Ms Ellen Intelligent blonde said that you wrote a while back that you dated this guy claimed it was a bad experience. People on the forums gave you advice to stay away from him and move on. Then you came back and said you were going to see him again. Don't you think you brought this on yourself? If a man is so rich he has staff...wouldn't you question why he would be borrowing that kind of money from a student & civilian such as yourself? Why wouldn't he go to a reputable banking firm for the money? To a banking firm that would have been pennies in their pockets, especially if he had all the businesses and wealthy he claimed to have. Depending on his debt load already. My point, if a banking establishment considered him a high risk, so should you have!

PLUS...like gambling & the stock market...if you can't afford to lose the money you shouldn't be playing, investing & in your case loaning the money out!

Sorry you had to learn the hard way.

NYChick and more,
I definitely trusted this man too much and made some wrong moves. I'm 23, he's 39. I'm just starting off, he allegedly has produced several films and owns several grocery stores, as well as other businesses. Some of his story is definitely true. I saw his home and talked with his staff. At the same time, his "money is definitely funny" which is why he asked me for a loan and then disappeared. I also live in Northern California, and he is in New Jersey. The distance made it easier for him to disappear without a trace.

Anyhow, I actually did find a "good guy" through millionairematch who gave me a lot of support in Feb/March when the New York guy became very critical of me and finally disappeared. He lives in St Louis and plays professional football in Canada. We've actually made money together instead of me just losing my money.

Anyhow, I did not want to lower my credit score behind some lying loser who said he wanted to have a family with me, and in the next breath ask me for thousands of dollars. I've learned a lot.

Im still curious what he asked $ for...maybe you answered that ? back aways...been busy the last few days...That is crazy...I'm always leary of a man asking me for $ especially being a single ma,a...NO WAY JOSE!!

anyway it was kinda odd to see that.. glad he found it entertaining.

Sharp u are a wonderful woman and some guy will be lucky to scoop u up.. if he lives up to your standards..

Thank you NYC, I have come to like you and respect your posts. I tend keep thoughts to myself, and speak out sometimes depending on what it is and it's importance to me. But I have quite a few friends and a couple of relatives that are like yourself and 'tell it like it is'. I enjoy it. It's a refreshing or an energizing change compared to alot of people.

My standards have risen over the past 3 yrs, but maybe someone who doesn't quite meet them will take me by surprise! Wishful thinking? lol

Wow! How far back did you have to go for that one? Because it's been weeks since NYC & I posted to each other when she first came on the forums, and I'm pretty certain we came to an understanding. I don't see her post much, but when I do, she generally has a good view of matters. She tells it like it is.

Glad old news was that entertaining to you! :-)

Thank you for your reply Scripps. I contacted my family's business attorney. He instructed me in exactly what to put in the police report so that Western Union would not send the matter to collections. I was not excited about contacting the attorney previously because we use him to run the company. Mostly for real estate transactions. Meaning there could be some breach of confidentiality.

I did request his assistance, and it appears that I'm no longer responsible to pay the $2100. Western Union will not report me to collections and place a derogatory notation with the credit bureaus. My credit was my primary concern in resolving this matter.

Please, everyone be safe. A.J. Miller lived in a luxury New York apartment, had several expensive vehicles, and a staff. That did not prevent him from participating in fraudulent activities to steal $3700 from me. It can happen, even with a person who appears to otherwise be truthful and affectionate.

Blessings

Ellen, I've found, not here, but in real life, as soon as you have a problem, people distance themselves from you like you're a leper. Largely, it happens here too only because the members on MM have been plagued by one fraud after another to the point where nobody trusts a new face and post. We usually wait and watch to see if the newbie exhibits any of the excentric little traits that previous frauds often show.

But we've also had women come on here and give a sob-story about needing money and we should give it to them. I'm not saying that's you, but there's a huge amount of suspicion and distrust among the members here, as though the name of this dating site implies that we all have fat pockets full of money to hand out to every Tom, D1ck and Harriette who says they need it.

My advice to you Ellen, would be to tell Western Union to go fly a freaking kite and then sue them for harrassment. They can write the loss off. You can't. Neither can we.

Good luck.

Hey, Mel, I reported that Miss Ellen lady when I saw your post. I asked MM if she was allowed to ask for money in a public forum and apparently she didn't because her posts aren't there this morning.
