www. I went to a school (v. progressive and experimental one) in my teens where we had blind students studying side by side with us..and we had to help read to them..there were several teenaged 'Ray Charles' amongst them who would stand by the water fountain and spray us girls with water then start groping at us..a right cheeky bunch they were.. so I do know what living in the kingdom of the blind is all about...
Personally I don't think visual stimulation or mental stimulation could be so precisely quantified into set percentages..I guess all men take emotional instincts and try to put them into set formula and equation..the truth is
EQ= heart, mind and instinctive reaction = x factor..ad infinitum
women don't quantify the matters of the heart into percentage equation, we just feel it thru our senses...blindfold test..hear, taste and smell and feel it..if it feels good..usually the eyes will adjust accordingly...lol i.e. reverse seduction of your senses..
Try it on your next new date...lol
Cub39 write: I confess. You are correct Bonnie. I fell for the photo and thought it was a picture of a younger moon. (A half-moon? A three-quarter-moon?) And I looked at her profile! Shallow Hal strikes again.
No..it is a crescent new moon... or don't tell me you went for one of those serious make-overs for your birthday!! lol
Is that your gorgeous daughter in the pic? YOu will be getting alot of response for posting that..lol
maybe I should put one of my own daughter too...lol

Any imput of colloquailism from Quebec?
I get very annoyed with my kids who seem to have only two 4- letter words to their vocab on adjectives which is
'cool' and 'cute'..so I have started educating them on the beauty of the English adjectives..
then they start their whole new text messaging lingo or acronyms..which is even a greater shock, some schools here are already complaining about kids who could only spell in text-message style..the English language is sure being bastardised and revised by this generation..
e.g. BRILL- which replaces brilliant and used here to substitute for cool..
ACE- to mean super cool
WAYOUT- to substitute FAB
DUH or DOH- started by Simpsons as an expression to say urgh..
Im learning a new language from my teenagers..
Hello, Bonnie, I saw your post and Min's in the other category which will remain nameless... for obvious reasons...lol... and I think it's a wonderful idea, unless we start it as a totally new topic in Culture and Education.
What do you think if we start a collection of colloquail terms for all sorts of saucy words, naughty words, quirky idioms and even swearing in other languages, their origins..
this was started in another topic site..so this seems a good place to move to..
I think this topic needs a new comer's injection of stimulant...
it has hit a bit of a dead end for a while..
the intellectually stimulated have all gone away for a break..
need some brainstorming here..any idea?
Hello, since I consider myself somewhat of an intellect, I prefer that the man be one also! There is a time to take a break from the conversation, but I do like to see what you are all about first. Thanks.
intellectual stimulation triggers a deeper memory..that surpasses the ephemeral and the senses...those who connect at that level will find a more meaningful relationship, one that will sustain for longer after all the physical aspects have dimmed..it is that shining light and beacon that will carry on forever...
In order to truely love someone you must know their innermost thoughts and feelings. The best way to know that is to talk to then and then listen when they respond. This is the only way to truely know the person. Once you truely know the person and they know you can love follow. Before that it is simply lust and infatuation.
Intellectual stimulation is the basis of love. The interests and appeal that one person creates in another harbors an environment ripe for growth and intrigue. Once intrigued, we are trult able to delve into the other person's soul and to see the wonder that lies within.
