I cannot believe so much time is devoted to religion on this site. What are we all here for.? There is one person who is getting far too much attention. He is really a very mean and abusive person. I think he deserves some "quiet time". Lets all ignore him!

Hey there! Wow......Nice inputs and outputs, thoughts recalls, and quotes. All because someone voiced her sole opinion. And yes, she indeed did not have the right to come into a forum where it's clearly stated the topic of beliefs. But, let's not cut off her legs for it, after all, He did clean us all up that truly believe and are saved. I'm not passing blame nor saying who's right or who's wrong. Simply, I am really more interesting in the discovers of other thoughts, they are deep. Let's not get distracted by those that are not on believers level (yet)
    Smile***

Dear not church. For some of us religion and church are a way of living and a path of conduct so important that to be with someone who is not on the same path will be pure agony. We are told not "to be unequally yoked". To find an eternal companion not a hot fix for a short time or to placate the loins is our purpose on this site. If you do not want to join in the discussion of this topic why address this idea at all. You have your free agency. We have ours. If you do not understand what church is all about perhaps it is time you entered in the doors of one. You may be happier for it.

Religion for some people is an absolute. It's important in a mate if they want to chase down latin masses for a date. Go to lectures or concerts. Or if you're debating great writting, history, art, ethics through the centuries it's a plus to know something about religion. It even might explain some of the current events happening in the world right at this exact moment. It's a common thread in any conversation other that TV, celebrity news, men with boats. Gee, isn't Christmas for heaven's sake-it does have an impact on world culture.

You dont know if God truly exist. All Religion is, is assumptions. And the whole getting married under "God" part. That's why I am not getting married because, I dont believe in it. By means I'm not "Gothic, Punk" or the other stereotypes that people see non believers in. I'm just being realistic here. How can one man create a whole world in 7 days, 7 nights when it takes several years to grow one tree? Unless, he has some mystical powers, I want dibs on some.

G_D is a great topic since He created everything, picture this,a group of people said they could create life just like it said in the Bible. They agreed to make a TV production to be viewed world wide.
The day they started the production, and the director said ACTION: One gave an introduction and what they were going to do!
To start; one reached down and picked up some dirt. Immediately a voice from Heaven said "What are you doing" the person said, making life like the Bible said: The Voice said" THEN GET YOUR OWN DIRT "

"A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry, but money answereth all things" Ecclesiasties 10:19. Now there is a scripture I like.

I didn't say I believe it, I just like it. Most people seem to be after all the money they can get. So basically I think most people believe it.

Money may not be the answer to all things but it makes most things easier to get.

Money is a vehicle for establishing value and to make exchange convenient and discernable.

Those that might establish characteristics to money as the cause of evil, etc. just don't understand money, for that would be the same thing as establishing that characteristic to whatever it might represent. Goods, services, favor, and anything else that a person might give value to. Since they give it value, by definition, it is desireable, good, and positive in the same broad sense.

Therefore, anything that has a specific value to the extent that it can be exchangded for something else that has a specific value, should be fair game to be bought and sold with money, as that's the recognized universal vehicle for doing so.

Doesn't that make us hipocrites when we refuse to buy or sell sex on principal? Yet men do put a specific value on it and have in their mind exactly what they will do to get. It has value and specific sex can be quantified specifically. It is ego that causes this, for who should ever wish to be charged with "having to pay for it" or "withholding it" as a way to exercise it's value and be the cost of someone's actions.

Therefore, money in and of itself is only positive, for it represents value. It can NEVER be negative as a characteristic. It can only be negative in how used, not as an intrinsic characterisic. So anybody that says money is evil does not understand money.

Anybody that says money is unimportant, that they don't care about it, or they don't need it, has declared the equivalent of, that they either have an alternative mechanism for the valuation and exhchange of goods and services, or do not and will not participate in exchange. That they have some other way to offer, give, receive, or ask for something of value is interesting. That they will not be participating in the exchange of goods or services is even more interesting, as that signifies isolation.

I say neither are what they mean, and it's really just an immature, insecure, and vindictive reaction to not having it and they don't really mean what the statement signifies.
