Re the passage you quoted about adulteresses - just goes to show how stupid the Bible actually is, compared to real life.

The Bible would not stand up to real life in the third world countries nowadays, let alone civilised parts of the world.

Even the Pope himself lives in a dream world where everything is perfect, supposedly.

Spoil - do you spend all of your time finding the pieces in the Bible that you resonate with? You obviously leave the rest behind.

The retraction of the law does nothing to remove the evil that it ever existed in the first place. Though frankly, that is probably the least of the atrocities and outright ugliness perpetrated by this supposedly loving God. The more you read of the "good book"... the more you grow to despise.... Best if the faithful only read the parts they want you to read.

And Jesus' hands are far from bloodless either. He seems quite pleased with the fact that the people of Samaria, who have rebelled against their God will fall by the sword, have their children dashed on the ground and pregnant women ripped open. So loving. So patient. So gregarious. We should all live our lives by these words.

Or at least go for the Book of Mormon? at least its (unintentionally) funny!

Interesting thoughts, however I never got married in a church or divorced in one either!

So I guess the whole thing doesn't count! Good!

It is also God's law that a slave may be beaten to death with no punishment for the perpetrator as long as the slave doesn't die too quickly. EX 21:20-21

Gotta love that guy, he has the bestest laws of all time!
