Lots and lots of them, my latest is cooking, my choices are eating out or cooking, cooking lost. I have a heavy hand with spices. I need to stop using a little of this and a little of that and follow the recipe. Garlic is my biggest problem, I need to find a way to add a veggies,or beef, or poultry, or lamb or fish to my garlic.

I think my mindset with garlic is I'm trying to keep the vampires away.

I might have found a benifit , I haven't seen a termite in years.

I have an interest in the art periods you indicated, but not only in American art. Email me and we can discuss it further.

Do you have any humanitarian interests at all?

I must say that my all-time favorite thing is to warm up the couch.

After that is golf and then metal detecting.

Also I love to give massages but alas, I have no others with which to share this hobby.

Hobbies... hmmm.

Well, as you may have gathered from some of my other posts, it's mainly hillwalking, even verging on easy mountaineering (although in winter in Scotland, the difference between hillwalking and winter mountaineering is a very blurred one).

Bizarrely, being caught out on a mountaintop in a blizzard is very therapeutic - when you're trying to navigate off a hill by compass, the last thing you are worried about is mortgage repayments or your boss at work! ;) And when you get down (or up) in one piece, all those day-to-day worries are gone, emptied from your head - your only concern has been surviving - so it's a very tranquil moment.

However, blizzards are best not done too often, if you want to increase your chances of making 40...

My other hobbies are quite quiet: reading and quiet nights in. I work in the oil business which is very much a highly charged industry; the cameraderie is good (it has to be) but everyone still needs a counter-balance, a safety valve. I do anyway.

Well... In my "pare" time I like to take my dog out for a run in the park or relaxing on the deck with a nice cool drink while swinging back and forth. I do some volunteer work with develop mentally challenged children. I like going to the movies every so often - The last movie I saw was Unleashed. When I want to have a good time I venture out to a lounge in Toronto, or I keep it local. I like spending time with family and friends. One hobby of mine which I would recommend to anyone one is KITE FLYING. When I say go fly a kite I mean it literally. It is so much fun and relaxing. :o)

(hey I know chocolate would've worked better but you can't pare chocolate)

-------------------------------------
CUB..you have sure got humour pared to the core..lol
btw..I think you could pare chocolate with this special flake-curler to make them into little curly flakes to garnish your delicate desserts..after a candlelit dinner on the porch with your date ..and that thing is less threatening than your fruit knife..available at good specialist gourmet shops..happy pairing -PARING..:)

Cub,

I agree. It think it would be hard to be six feet from SixFeet.

Should we be saything these things? A Lion may be lurking.

Cub,

I hope the fruits of your labor pay off. I was wondering about the six feet rule.

What happens if you and Ms. Right are sitting on the porch and you both decide she is The One? I don't think a woman is going to kiss you when you are that far away with a weapon in your hand.

Just my advice. Do what you want with it.

Personally, I purchase the pre cut fruit.
