I just want to know if there are any men in their 40s and 50s (Or older) that want to become fathers? They want to be fathers for the first time or that they already have and want more.
I'm curiously asking this question as a woman, who will be turning forty. Yet I've never been married. I do want kids. But I"min no hurry to get married or have kids. I fo have optiond, it's the financial aspect that is stalling me.
I do want to hear from the guys though.
Children are expensive, so it depends on cash. If a guy has over US$10 million, that puts him the top 1% of wealth and he can choose to have children as late as 50, without having to wonder about providing for his children's college education and his own retirement at the same time.
If all you have is US $5 million, that's another story. At that level, he can't afford to both raise children and live a wealthy life style while ensuring his retirement is 100% safe. If he truly values children then most likely he will already have them and won't care enough to want more. At least not enough to risk reducing himself to a middle class lifestyle.
At less than $3million, you basically can't have children after 40, unless you are willing to accept a middle class lifestyle - which is VERY unlikely if you worked hard to get that $ 3 million
Yes I want to have kids also as i've never met the right women to have kids with or the women that I dated when I was younger used contraceptives .I'm 48 and I am envious of people that have kids I suppose and feel like I'm missing out.The financial aspect is of course an obstacle for me and I admit I can't do this on my own but I'm willing. While it might not be normal to have children in your 40-50's you shouldn't listen to society or your peers but rather follow your heart in this matter.
