Maayan is the smart one here - she always stays sweet no matter what - never b*itchy or mean - even if she would have a reason to be. That's what being smart is.
And certainly NEVER boring! The author of some of the best naughty stories on here - boring?? No way!! LOL

So Maayan gets First Prize in my book!

Maayan you're positively beautiful and get my vote as well.

K3T...I do agree with you ....it is alos a fact that a lot of times they way we say something on the forum..is often misread..or mistaken as coming off as rude..or heartless.BUT AT THE SAME TIME YOU HAVE SHOWN YOUR CARING AND VERY lOVING , FRIENDLY SIDE AS WELL.
I know that, in reading your posts I can see a very intelligent woman..sometimes brutal and to the point
I know I have mentioned that to you a couple of times and you have quickly retracted your post..or commented and apologized.
You are right..this is a place of many different opinions..and beliefs..we Must respect everyones opinion..or there will always be friction. This is what makes it interesting. and keeps the forums going.
how boring it would be iof we all think alike..
Like Maayan says..I dont want a buncha me's out there either!!!

LOl....luvs y a guys..
have a great day!!!!
PEACEOUT!!!!

How boring indeed.

If I offended Minerva, Sharp, Divine & family or Yeehaw it was not meant in a malacious way.

I apologize to all.

Yes Maayan is steadfastly gentle-hearted but for the most part so are Butter and Cat.

Without a doubt there are differing temperments throughout the forum but I see that as a good thing.

Sometimes it's best to break from decorum and whether it's accomplished in a whisper soft and gentle manner or short, straight and to the point is irrelevant.

One may feel I have a chip on my shoulder and work HARD at intimidating others? But is that why I gently discouraged a young lady from publishing her phone number? Offered Tonya positive reinforcement when she read dismal statistics from an article? Lend an ear to Sassy when she faced a personal dilemma? I could go on but no doubt you get the point. I've NEVER attempted to persuade someone their viewpoint is wrong...overly critical...politically incorrect etc.

This is a forum for god's sake, comprised of a multitude of distinct personalities. Nor have I aired dirty laundry whether my own or that of another's. Being a private person that would be out of character for me. Few people from the forum knew that I have no children or whether I'm widowed, divorced, or engaged for that matter. Therefore I find it surprising one would comment on what is and isn't "representative" of me.

If we want to discuss shortcomings and deficiencies let's include everyone -- including Heehaw's -- personally if my motive was to hit on someone I would take the approach of contacting them via email and establish a private conversation instead of pouring it on thick with compliments on a public forum. One would have to be blind not to notice raging hormones.

Then we have Minerva whom I love dearly but remind me of Aunt Clara from Bewitch, sweet but inadvertently has the potential to cause more harm than good and at times remark on subjects in which she is missing information. Most recently, painting a broad picture the victims of the hurricane's stubbornness was their downfall. She watched CNN and know of what she speaks. That explains it then. Then there was Mel's satirically spin-off of Goodlife's "To all the women I never wrote back to" in which she had no idea he was turning the tables and commenced to speak matter-of-factly on gender equality. Last but not least, she neglected to provide Gabreilla with information that was pertinent to a discussion when she asked her a question of the Italian language which resulted in Gabreilla rushing in the line of fire without knowing what the fuss was about. Understand that I'm not inferring Minerva -- or anyone --should be up-to-date on every news/topic/thread under the sun, I'm merely pointing out that some, more than others, in their quest to be liked are guilty of infractions as equally damaging as speaking "straightforward" from time to time.

Sharp, well it's hard to phantom why she would think a woman on another thread who believes the MAJORITY of blondes have no moral character and speak kind words for only 2 that she's met in her entire life, maintains full women equals a happy men, thin/ideal women don't like themselves and a plastic surgeon is their best friend, should NOT be considered mean-spirited. Huh? Different strokes for different folks I guess. There's more but I'll rest my case at this point.

Not everyone is so eager to be liked or popular that they will go along with anything and everything, particular when it comes to putting another's life in possible harm's way.

Knock3, I was referring to your avitar, the main photo of your profile, it certainly is not represetative of you, was not referring to your unposted childrens photos. As far as your disliking Divine, what has she done to you? You appear to carry a big chip on your shoulder and work hard to intimidate others on the website, it won't fly anymore! Learn to be critical in a nice way, and if you don't have anything nice to say, keep it buttoned up, we don't want to hear it! I don't think anyone cares who you like and who you don't. Get the your arse off your shoulders and learn to get along with others! Done. As always, yours truly HeeHaw! LMAO!

HeeHaw:

What are you gonna do, vote me off the island?

And who said I dislike Divine or anyone -- correction I don't like YOU that's for sure. And frankly don't gave a damn what you think.

Geez any wonder I refer to him as heehaw/y*ahoo.

anyway..im done with this topic...how about anyone else?

Second the motion Butter.

If I didn't like Divine why would I warn her about considering the welfare of her children, in addition to herself?

It would have been easy for me to remain silent but that's difficult to do that when children -- as well as finances -- are involved.

uuhmm.... too late for the warning I think! There's already a thread called Pictures of our loved ones where everyone has posted pictures of their children......

But this thread isn't titled "pics of loved one" is it?

In fact the word b-e-w-a-r-e is also associated with this thread. There's a big difference between innocuous Christmas photos of the family in front on the fireplace and revealing poses followed by an angelic daughter.

Now matter how psychic one self-appoint themselves there's no absolutes in detecting a possible predator.

Someone skillful in exploitation is silently thanking Heehaw and Minerva, you're both making his/her job so much easier.

awe shucks biteme3times, I didn't mean to entice anyone subliminally into posting their sons and daughters pictures. By the way, is that the image you have of yourself? Enough said, knock it off three times. You don't manage the rules of posting on this or any other site. I have read some of your numerous postings and various threads and you just like to pick. One well worded and gracious warning about the potential hazards of posting one's own childrens photos is more than adequate to get the message to a member. YOU DEAR ARE PILING ON!

I didn't post picture of my children so NO that's not the image I'm projecting. How lame was that? What should I expect from someone who thinks there's nothing wrong with asking for investment advice from strangers online.

Why so sensitive. Reread my post yesterday...when it comes to the well-being of someone -- ESPECIALLY A CHILD -- there's no such thing as being overly cautious.

Bite's over.

Divine, I agree with Statuesque, but I will use less harsh phraseology than Butterfly (ouch butterfly). Find a good financial planner through your network of friends, but talk to at least two planners. Talk to your friends to see how they invest and what their goals are. This might give you some strategies to pursue with your investment(s). As far as information on the forum, I think you were in line is asking what you did, but use caution, there are many scammers/gammers/players on here and everywhere.
I would recommend you search the internet for financial planners (fpanet.org). Although you currently reside in HI, you indicated a change might be in store. Possibly a CFP that is nationally known might be a good fit as switching offices shouldn't be an issue when/if you make the move. Checkout the big names also like Schwab, etc.
Keep as much of your personal information close to you, identity theft is a serious career for many and there are so many cons ready to pounce with their get rich quick ploys. Due diligence on your part is the key. B

Smart man with looks too!!!!!

Who, me? Flattery will get you everywhere! Lol!! Thanks for the complement...

Stick with what you know best. Buy a run down building cheap in a good location, remodel and decorate it beautifully but inexpensively, and rent or sell it to a Lawyer or Real Estate Developer or or someone else who needs a impressive looking building. If all else fails you can live in it, but U can't live in your stock and bonds.

Divine..Pardon me...but Sat scores of 350 are very low...it shouldnt be very hard to meet a man that can top that!

My Son tested 1465...he was at Genious level..and my daughter at 1250...so Im thinking that any man would be smarter than 350...you sure must have had some dummys if they werent smarter than that.
Sorry just being honest here..and after all, thats what you wrote.
You being the smart woman that you are...should also know..it isnt very wise to indulge that you are making large sums of money and need the help of strangers to give you ideas of how to invest..or spend..Come on Girly....
Wise up!!
I didnt get those high sat scores that my kids got...but I know i tested better than 350..and I also know I would never divuldge my earnings..and ask strangers over the internet how I should spend it.

Just a little advise from another Wise woman..you can take it or leave it.

Im curious Ladies..what is your opinion? Am I wrong?
Good Luck on the site...but be careful...never give out your personal info...there are some Looneys on here...I should know...I and a few others have had some bad experiences...just be careful!!!!!!

BTW...just my 2cents ..for what its worth...but I would much rather meet a man who is well rounded in everything..rather one who has a boring high IQ..and cant carry on a conversation without being boring...I have met many people in my life who may not be at high IQ levels..but are very smart in other ways..and very artistic..or interesting..funny..kind..well mannered..and who are completely well balanced...Now thats what I would rather have...Fun...and happiness...I quess is different for everyone...
Ive been around those stuffy high IQ people as my son went to a gifted H.S..a college Prep..and I went to many functions..and award ceremonys..You can have those boring types..Id prefer the more down to earth honest..unstick-up people myself.
Thats just me..and what makes the world go around is different people with different choices..
Good Luck!!!!

Damn she is pretty and her children are as gorgeous too.

Lets forget the fact she is asking advice from strangers in how to invest.

THE WORST THING YOU DID Divine is show your gorgeous children on here with strangers. You have no clue what is out there lurking behind the bushes and willing to take advantage of you and your precious wee ones. I only want to bring this to the forefront. For your childrens own safety.

IMHO....CHEERS

Divine I apologize if I came across to harshly..as that was not my intent...

If you were on here a few months ago..you would have read in these forums...there was a certain Gentleman who was placing info in the forum..like a phone number..and place of employment of a women on here...you guys all remember ..hint hint.....anyway..that was a lesson well learned for all of us here..
In this day..its very dangerous to give out such info..including making large sums of money..and asking how you should invest it..Just be careful what you ask for...thats all I was trying to say..You can do what you want..i will never forget what happened to me...EVER...

This site has a lot od strange ones on here...just hang around for about 6 months..and you will find out for yourself...right girls?

There are a lot of Fake profiles..and its the niave innocent trusting women who get taken advantage of...I have witnessed that first hand also..

Good Luck..and as I said before Be Careful!!!!!!You seem a lot smarter than that...but you should use common sense when dealing with the internet.

Sorry you have a "lessons learned." Always be careful with everything. Just because the website is credible doesn't mean everyone on them is! Hope the damage was controllable in your case Butter.

Is that why you go by Sharp 1? Lol! Good information and recommendations. Disagree with the low class comment though. As she stated, she's new at this investing thing and just wanted information and recommendations on how to and what to. A little slack in the line was warranted I feel. She did not mention amounts and what may be a lot of money to her for investing may be a small amount to others. I just thought it was a bit harsh, my .02 worth, that's just me.

Again, Sharp 1, you provide good words and wisdom/insight as to what someone can look for in investments.

HeeHaw:

Perhaps you should read the post under the romance section "no luck so far" in which a young woman posted her PHONE NUMBER on this website a few days ago.

Butter and I adviced her it's not a good idea to post personal information on a website.

If Butter came off heavy-handed -- which is a matter of opinion; you feel she was and I feel where one's well-being is concerned there's no such thing -- it's possible after witnessing one young woman make a serious mistake on the forum she hoped to help avoid another potential disaster unfolding.
