I used to love Valentine's day,it was the day to get cheesy. The flowers, card, dinner or holiday and presents. Yet now that I'm single, it's become the day make fun of, comfort mechanism guess. anybody else feel this way?

When I came to US seven years ago I didn't have an idea what Valentiens day really means. I think it's a great opportunity to appreciate your loved ones, family members, friends, kids :). I enjoyed exploring US traditions and didn't expect that someone will  bring me flowers on the 8th of March (traditional ladies day on the other side of the globe). When you travel you are more interested in exploring the new opportunities then massaging the old ones.  We all are here to start a new chapter, new journey, totally new life. It's like exploring new countries and new cultures :).

let's think of creating new traditions in our new life, new ways of expressing empathy and love :).

Let's be creative :).

Ladies, Valentines Day comes but once a year. What you and I need is someone  to make us feel like that the other 364 days of the year (smile). Someone to make you feel like that, with or without the gifts, that's the key.

Can we just blot it off the calendar?  Feb 11, 12, 13, 15, 16.  LOL

I have to agree with a comment, we shouldn't let this day be just about couples, it's about reaching out to those we are grateful for and love in our lives...who ever that is.

I agree Jenknee....dang, I just got through Christmas and NYE also.  Hoping there isn't going to be a re run this year. :)

Valentines day and everyday after is a constant remedie and reminder that your still here, healthy and beautiful, and if for one second if you fail to ackowledge this second minute or amazing moment in your life. You can be gone fall ill become ugly or loose everthing. So see the light be the light and own the light. Treat yourself like you would want someone else to. Love yourself, if you don't how do you expect others to.

Well... I just treat myself! A whole bottle of wine, a big box of chocolates and a fun trip to the toy shop! LOL!!!  :-)
