Dear, you need to impove with English, I know it's hard, but step by step you will be great. I once lived abroad and I was the same as you are. It's very hard in beginning, but with time and patience you will find your second home.
California has many, many Russian people :-))) and you can find information in the yellow pages about support groups.
I'm happy to be your friend, I speak little Russian, but I am a fan of Russian culture. I will visit again to your country this year.:-)) Please write me anytime.
