I coined the term "Belief Tolerance" and would like to share it with you all.
Belief Tolerance, that is, a country, nation or group of people with several different spiritual beliefs residing in the same location in peace.
While "Belief Tolerance" is dearly accepted in the United States, and many other countries, we are witnessing lack of "Belief Tolerance" in many areas throughout the world.
As leaders in the church communities and of the missions that touch the far reaches of countries around the world it is imperative for us all to try and spread the word of belief tolerance. If you believe this to be a good idea why not bring it up to your leaders in the varying churches? We need to understand that each of our teachings contains the "Golden Rule" and that many if not all of our beliefs wish to perform good and not harbor and perform acts of evil. Our message should be of togetherness and not of "Our way or the highway". The time has come to break down the walls between our beliefs and set our sites upon our common goal; loving one another and gaining divinity in our afterlives.

All money given to any church or religious cause is wasted even moreso than buying lottery tickets.
At least you have some chance, albeit small, like 1 in 50 million, more or less, of getting some of it back on a lottery ticket, but when you give it to the church you have no chance at all.
Don't tell me about the architecture of Notre Dame cathedral, or the art of Michelangelo, or the singing of the Mormon choir. It is all a monument to ignorance.
Some parts of some religion, not all religions and not all of any religion.
That said, I heard:
You must do ... or you will BURN IN HELL. Oh, you don't believe? Non-believers BURN IN HELL. See that building? That is the HOUSE OF GOD. Go in there and give the people that run the place some of your money. Yep, it is already very luxurious. But it is the HOUSE OF GOD!!!
What's that? Oh, those other buildings? We have built houses of GOD all over the place, millions of them. For your convenience. We collect some of what they collect for the MAIN HOUSE OF GOD.
You must come to God's house once a week and bring your money. If you don't, you will BURN IN HELL!! In exchange, you may ask of God anything you like. If it happens, there you go. If not, hey, you don't run the show, God has his reasons. Proof? You don't need proof. We have a concept we use here called faith. That means believe without proof. If you don't, you will BURN IN HELL!! OK, walk away, but don't talk against us, because that's an INSTANT BURN IN HELL ticket, got it?
Hmmm. I don't want to BURN IN HELL, now do I?
So here we go, spending out entire lives wondering, but what if ... just in case ... I feel good not wonderning anymore... I decided, yet still wonder ...
Whoever foist this upon us, I hope you BURN IN HELL!! And just in case, I'm sorry, I ask ther Lord that I be forgiven. Hey Mr. Priest. Take THIS! (punch). (return punch). OWWWW, Hey, you are supposed to turn the other cheek!
Preist: . "You are right. Lord, forgive me. There. Do you feel better? No? You will feel even worse after I tell you your penance in confession. You would not want to BURN IN HELL would you? See you on Sunday."
I dropped that religion. It just didn't sit well with me. Not because of all that stuff above. It was that all the stuff I was into was going to make me BURN IN HELL even if I kept going to Gods' house and paying up some money. How convenient, you say? That's what I was gonna say to YOU!
So many in life seem to have lied to me or been ignorant about a lot of stuff. I'm going with my gut on this one.
Then sent Jesse Jackson to hell, but hell was full. The devil said, OK, I'm gonna let 1 go to make room, and you can even pick.
1st one, it's Kennedy and he's forever diving down looking in cold water.
Whoa, not that, I can't swim.
2nd one, it's Gore and he's forever breaking rocks with a sledge hammer.
Whoa, not that, too much work.
3rd one, he see Clinton spread out getting oril(sic) pleasure from Monica over and over.
Yeah, I can deal with THAT. I pick this one.
There is only 2 absolute in this world, death and taxes. Everything else is based on opinions and teaching of others. Religion is no difference. Anyone can take passages out of a book and present it as absolute but in reality it is nothing more that gibberish junk. (i.e. Sigmund Freud believed all mental ills was a results of sexual problems. Gee, does that means if you correct the sexual problems then all mental ills are gone? Here?s another one. A conspiracist, trying to prove that moon landing was a hoax?s. Why, because the flag appeared to be waving in the photo. Since space has no atmosphere then the flag couldn?t wave. Logical, except he didn?t mention about solar winds. Which could cause the flag to wave. Also, the frame on which the flag was placed, could have cause the flag to have a ripple. So, was he right? He thought so.
How about something closer to home, number of years a go, my stepson came home with a question about history. His history teacher presented the information about American Indians (don?t remember exactly what it was) but year prior, a different teacher presented the same information exactly opposite. He wanted to know who was right. Only one could be right or neither ones was right. He wanted to know what the real story was because he is Native American. I had no answer for him because I didn?t know myself and I didn?t live back then to say what really happen. As one author said, history is written by the winners, the losers are never heard from. Also, history is nothing but theories and hypothesis based upon limited information.
So what is beliefs? It?s nothing more than accepting or agreeing to the information that has been presented. As LRH said, ?What is true for me, is true for me. What is true for you, is true for you.?
If the other person cannot accept the fact that I might believe differently, then he needs to seriously take a long look at himself. But t...
Here's my problem with the idea that tolerance is ideal. Okay run with me here for a second. So you want to play that what you believe is okay and that what I believe is okay and we can live and breathe and share the same living space. Anyone's belief is right just as long as they keep it to themselves, right?
WRONG. If you want to tolerate everyone's religion, that means you have to tolerate me standing up for my religion. Oh, and by the way, my religion says that your religion is wrong. See the problem there? Everyone can't be right because if everyone's belief is right, then you're all wrong and only my religion is right.
Belief tolerance is a nice ideal. Unfortunately the religous often believe they are in a cultural war with secularism (at a minimum). When the secular insist on seperation of church and state, the religious see that as an attack on their beliefs (must to the surprise of secularist who just want religion out of their goverment).
Well meaning and untaught "religious" people often committ evil.Read I Tim. Chapter 4."In the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and (notice) doctorines of devils(what does God call doctrines of devils?), forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from meats." Who does this? This was a prediction of the coming roman catholic church - 570 years before it happened and a falling away from the true church or, a counterfit one. Shall we tolerate a church that is a counterfit one and teaching, doctrines of devils?
