All of us christians should pray for AGiftFromHeaven.......she has been led astray from the Truth. Do not cast pearls before swine, also do not plant seeds in unfertile ground. In other words lets let Jesus soften her heart and we should not involve ourselves in debate with a person who has already decided to not believe the Truth. She will be in my prayers tonight. But this will be the ONLY response from myself to her.

If you are atheist, then what happens?
You ultimately, a long time though, decompose and end up in the dirt and rocks, which some day should get picked up by water or plants and get eaten by something alive, and there you go, you are reincarnated.

But who are you? If I cut your hand off, do you stay with the main body and the hand is just meat and bone? If I split you down the center, are you in the left half or right half during those moments before you die? It only makes sense that you are the combo of all of the parts and also part of any part that leaves you, so when you shed your skin from a good sunburn, part of you is going to hit the dust. How much of you do you have to cut off before you stop being the singular you that you know and love so much. Let's say we drop you into a meat grinder. At what point as you go into the opening and parts of you get ground off, do you cease to be the whole you. Or how about a shotgun blows your head off but the body is still live and ticking for a bit. The head is bits of meat, bone fragments, and blood. Where are YOU?

How about you reside in the mind and are only in existence as long as the mind has you manifested. Cut the cord, you disappear. And if you take a slow shutdown scenario, you have a fade away scenario.

Here is some good news. The vibrational pattern this is you is spreading itself around moment by moment and we are all full of one another through our experiences. Kind of the way fire spreads itself around. You may be insignificant in the mind of another, but you will combine with others and grow. Your existence seems individual and can't be chopped in 2 but it can and although you as your current individual person will never dominate another mind in that form of YOU as you know yourself, it never dies, it just relocates. Sometimes in whole, sometimes in part. Even as a whole moving into another person being born, you still will only have influence via the join. You never die, you just spread out. That kind of matches the whole reproduction cycle too. That's not so sad, so what if you as you go away, may 100 bits of you become part of another. So best be highly interactive and live on through others. And like a fire, you can grow too, you do it all the time by having kids. We know matter cannot be created or destroyed, only spread apart or take on an energy form. There you go, nothing to fear, everlasting life is guaranteed as long as life exists. And when life stops existing, would you really want to be the only one alive anyway?

    Feel at peace now?

Tomboy, the "Left Behind" serious is fiction...stated as fiction but in a cunning way to extract dollars just like a good "X-Files" movie. Be careful what you believe from that...I think they do more harm than good; yet I know lots of people that would make that fiction...gospel. Doesn't it strike you strange at all that Jesus would spend his entire earthly ministry working among the worst sinners and helping all manner of mankind to then pull them away in the time of most need? Truth is rapture theory has no basis in fact in the Bible...none...and doesn't even match the central ideology of Jesus's earthly ministry. Research it...

Umm...some people need to do their research using more than just biased book...Historians with no religious affiliation have found evidence of Jesus existing...

As to whether you believe the signs of the coming of the Messiah from the Old Testiment (historical records, letters etc) or what occured in the New Testiment written by his followers...

And since you don't have FAITH, what ever you say without a well rounded argument...cannot take this with more than "You are right, no I am right" argument /shrug I do not judge others by their beliefs...even if mine are different (unless they breaking the law...like sacrificing animals or people)...it is up to God to decide, not me...so when I see others judging...I doubt their argument...and how can you deny an existence in God when you you believe in heaven?

2much hit the nail on the head imo...

hey sweetie i totally agree with you if all this gospel and bible stuff were true our society wounldn't be so lost and incomplete tell me this how many normal loving mothers are out there? Not many , i mean totally fucntional no shortcomings nope not many beause there is a certain way to live and be and the bible will never tell you how to be in peace with yourself but be in conflict with yourself and live in emotional pain. Religion is self made not given to us by higher power to receive this higher power the body and mind must be detoxed and cleansed and fed the right thoughts only you can achieve GOd or higher power. And it is process of the self whereever you are in life
Yes the people of the Light! Girl you on the right track! you go girl! Sincerely Rakhee Roy this is for a giftfromheaven

I feel sorry for those of you that don't believe, so all I can do is pray for you. I expect an older person to be wise but I guess that is not always the case. I have a great joy knowing I have a realtionship with Jesus, I just pray that someday you would be able to experience that same JOY!
    God Bless

The Scriptures command us to 'judge not, least ye be judged'. That said, I will tell you there is no physical 'proof' that existed. It is a matter of faith.

My faith says yes He did exist. My 'proof'? I have been cancer free now for three years. During that time, I have been rewarded with life, peace of mind, family and a beautiful daughter. That's all the 'proof' I need.

    Thank you,

To have faith... ANYTHING in life is possible!!!

I try to respect all faiths..but that can only be to a certain degree as I truly believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit...I turn to God for every answer...I am not as much a "religious" person and not "charismatic" BUT I am very spiritual and know just how strong faith be...

just as we are all here on this website hoping to meet the ideal soul mate, friend, etc...it REALLY is ALL in God's hands...

I believe that he did once did exist.
HEY! I have a question for all of you!
How old do you all think you will be when you die and go to heaven (That is if you don't think you are going to hell...) I heard that everyone is between 30 and 33. What's your opinion on that?
  • View author's info Posted on May 12, 2005 at 08:47 PM

Of course I will pray for you, I also consider myself to be a spiritual person. Most reglious people just tend to go through the motions. But the spirit to me, deals with the true heart of a person. Hopefully it is a good spirit you have. And if it is, continue your sprirtual walk, nothing wrong with that!
    Be Blessed

What do I think about the Book of Revelation? Well, of course I don't believe a word of it. I am a total complete atheist. I don't believe in any religious book, The Book of Mormon, The Koran, which I have read by the way, cover to cover, word for word, just recently, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy or any other religious book and I would suppose there are thousands. There must be many books of Buddhism,
Hinduism and so on. Of course I believe in the common sense of those books like where it says to love your neighbor and to treat your neighbor the way you would like to be treated, but the supernatural junk is just that, junk. There may be some history in the Bible but it is extremely distorted. It can't be studied like a text. As for Revelation, and it is spelled without an "s", it is not Revelations, it is Revelation, it is the Revelation of Saint John the Divine, it can't be used to predict anything just as nothing else can be used to predict anything. Nothing can be predicted. Nostrodamas didn't predict anything. Psychics are usually more wrong than chance would suppose. Astrology and the Astrocast is foolishness. Once something has happened you can go back and try to fit something that somebody said but that is not prediction. If it could be done a person could beat the market.

Jesus was probably a minor religious person of his time who knew some magic. He said that unless he showed them signs and wonders they would not believe him.

Bringing people back to life at that time was something that such religious people did.

He brought Lazarus back to life. He brought the widow's son back to life.

    His disciples did it.

He probably planned with Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus to get him down off the cross before he died and put him in a tomb owned by Joseph where he changed his clothes and shaved or something, he appeared in another "form", then Friday night he just pushed the stone away and walked out.

It was his last "sign and wonder" then he just disappeared and lived out his life in the surrounding neighborhood. Probably with his boyfriend Saint John the disciple that Jesus loved, the one that lay on his breast at the last supper.

Jesus liked his wine you know. It was the first "miracle", a trick that he performed, the "making of wine" at the wedding feast at Cana

It was easy for him to disappear because even his disciples didn't recognize him until he talked to them.

When he did so one time they called him a spirit. He said he was no spirit that spirits didn't have flesh and blood as he did, then he asked them for something to eat. And walked off eating it.

Some rich person here ought to make a movie out of my interpretation. They would make a mint.

I am sorry but being cancer free is no proof of anything supernatural, Jesus or anything else.

What about all the people who are not cancer free? Did they do something for which they are suffering?

    It makes no sense.

The immaculate conception does not have to do with the conception and birth of Jesus.

It has to do with the conception of Mary. She was supposed to have been free from original sin at the moment of her conception therefore immaculate. Mary Immaculate.

I happen to be a complete, total, dyed in the wool atheist.
I think Jesus did exist perhaps as a minor religious person of the time but that he was embellished and magnified by Paul and that Christianity would probably have not existed without Paul
