Chazz, no I welcome ANY suggestions at this point. I greatly appreciate the 2 things you mentioned trying, and explaining how it works. And as much as I've always hated grapefruit, if it works, then I will force myself to learn to like it lol. I'll try the coconut oil as well. Thank you for your help and advice, and they're greatly appreciated!
Steel if I may be so bold and try to assist you? There are a couple of simple things you can do to assist weight loss.
First eat half a grapefuit or even a quarter before each meal. This lowers the amount of insulin released to combat th eincoming sugars from the various foods. The insulin takes these sugars into the cells to use for energy or store as fat, so less insulin is better. The other suggestion is increase your intake of coconut oil to at least 3 1/2 Tbsp/day. It is a medium chain triglyceride that will not only provide energy but assist the body in untilizing stored fat for energy. Coconut oil will not increase triglycerides nor cholesterol levels. Use it to cook with as it is saturated, so it will not become a trans fatty acid. It can take heat as high as 500 degrees. Body builders will take a couple of ozs prior to a workout to assist in the use of body fat for their energy and prolong their workout. All is safe and natural and so easy. Good luck to you dear.
1HM, thanks for the compliment. I've decided that I would no longer take his remarks personally. Deep down it's just not like me to be vindictive towards anyone, except maybe my daughter's father(the only person I dispise) Speaking of body size and weight, and how this relates to one's health. All of my life I was always small and petite. At 5ft 1in, I used to weigh 105-110 lbs. and wore size 3/4 pants. Even after I had my daughter, I made it back to that size. But about 2 or 3 yrs later, I was diagnosed with 'Hypothyroidism.' An insidious disorder! I gained 50lbs before my doc discovered the problem, and that was even without changing my diet. Now I have to eat child size portions just to maintain a weight that's not even what it was back then. There are many more symptoms/problems related to this disorder, and unfortunately I was experiencing many of them.That little thyroid gland in the neck regulates every system in the body. When it stops working, it's a disaster. Now for the rest of my life I have to take med. which replaces what my thyroid can no longer do. It isn't 100% of how my natural thyroid worked, but it's better than the alternative. So, once upon a time I was actually this skinny little babe. Not anymore, but it's not because I sit around and eat bon bons all day lol.
AGe and looking old is such a well worn subject..I however have the reverse problem..all my life my physical looks are trying to catch up with my chronological age..and have to convince the immigration officer recently that I have not forged my passport when they thought that I m too young for my age...so Im a very old woman trapped in a young body..I know it is a fortunate thing but then I have to stick to dating young toy boys because men my age or older when they are out with me get knowing looks from people that he has just picked a young Oriental Bimbo...so both ways I don't win..the plight of looking younger than your chronological age..
Brad, I don't have the perfect body(no one does) but it's just fine with me and I don't have any trouble getting dates either. But since you keep mentioning how you look so much younger, and can 'out do 25 yr olds' (ahem)...prove it to everyone who has read your posts about your claims to look so wonderful. Post a pic or two of yourself. We're not going to take you at your word, if that's what you're thinking.
WHOA....this is wild. So we have the age old age thing going on.
Age is a matter of mind. There are many in their late 20's that are boring and unadventurous. AND many in their 60's that are charismatic and captivating.
It is a well known and studied theory that men and women are better matched if the man is younger and the woman is older. Women enter their sexual peek in their early 30's and maintain it for years if they have a stimulating partner. Men however reach their sexual peak in their early 20's and often lose it by the time they are 30.
This does not mean that men are not interested....it is the interest has changed. This is why "some" older men are fantastic lovers. They have learned and understand the desire and creativity needed to keep sex interesting to their partners.
Most men who are in a relationship with a much younger woman (15-20 years) are in need of emotional stroking. They get a pat on the back from their friends or co-workers, the male nod of apporval. Often times it is at a financial off set as they have to "keep" the younger woman because she has not grown and entered a livelyhood of her own. Often this relationship does not last as another better looking or richer man comes along.
Women who are involved with a younger man are often more closed about the situatuion. They enjoy the time they have in private. Women do not often "keep" a younger man. A younger man helps a woman stay younger both physically and mentally. This relationship has a deeper more meaningful sense.
SpoiluRotten, now was THAT a nice thing to say to her?? You're 59 yrs old and I'm sure your body is getting pretty old and worn out by now. Don't deny it. No one will believe it except you. 18-20 yr olds? Ummmm, let me explain something to you. All you can do is look, because to an 18-20 yr old girl you are like a grandpa. I even consider you too old for me, a 43 yr old. Last guy I went out with was 39. I'm sure the 18-20 yr olds would rather have a much younger smooth bodied man over gramps anyday. Geesh OLD men are laughable.
