I would like to keep this thread on a cerebral level. If your post is closer to an anti-astrology rant, perhaps it would be more apt for the 'Astrology is Hogwash' thread.
I'd like to know more about the science of astrology. Topics that come to mind:
** Jung's studies that correlated 7 aspects in natal charts with successful marriages. (This is, after all, a dating site!)
** Ancient Egyptian data-gathering, upon which ancient and modern astrologers base their understanding of the significance of each planet, each house, each type of aspect.
** The contributions to knowledge of astrological "greats" -- Grant Levi, Elbert Benjamine (pen-name: C C Zain), Donna Cunningham, etc.
** Correlative studies between natal astrology and 'personality theory' as propounded by Myers, Briggs, Keirsey, and other psychologists.
** Any variance between our current (2006) understanding of planetary orbits and that of the ancients.
** Any current scientific studies being done to confirm or disprove the predictive value of astrology.
