Not an August newbie, but at haven't been on the site to not be a newbie. My name is Vonnie, but i used my musical handle on the profile. I need help on working this site. Is there ANYONE that can help. I've gotten winks but not a gold member, and i really would like for people to comment on my blog and tell me what they think! Can anyone help me?
I am not new to MM, but new to the forums. When blogging turned to flogging, I thought this might be a better place to enjoy an exchange of ideas. Looks like you have your trouble makers here too. As Lincoln once said, "People are as happy as they make up their minds to be."
As a single parent myself, the best advise I can give, is to pray, read a lot, and invest as much time as you can with your children while they (and you) are still young.
I try to think about the things that meant a lot to me while I was growing up, and discovered that I remembered/cherished the simple things, like fishing with my father, walking on the beach in the early mornings discussing life, and spending time in pray as a family.
I would recommend Stormie Omartian's bestselling book for parents; she shares wisdom for the journey of parenthood. Stormie looks back at the trials and joys of parenting and the power found in praying for her kids, and shares how parents can pray for their children?s

Sometimes people get testy in MM & post things like "the regulars are tyrants who think they own the forums & won't let anyone else join in." No. That's not true.
We recognise sometimes there's animosity among members who may say things like, "You're totally wrong & don't know what you're talking about." Most of the time we read that & think, "Oh no. Whose-Its and Whats-Its are at it again!" & then we visit often to see how it turns out. We do not butt in & gang up on people just for disagreeing with us & others.
But, let's say someone posts their opinion & somebody else writes, "You're full of crap & a mutt-faced idiot too!" THEN we'll pay closer attention & some of us "regulars" might step in & say, "Hey! Low blow!"
And therein lies the problem where we get blamed for bullying other members. It's the bullies who start hurling dirt who hate to be told to stop it. We "stick up" for all who are being treated like crap. We dislike name-callers. It's disrespectful & screws up the ambiance of the forums.
There's a member right now who's gone psycho & is calling women "lesbos" & "morons" just for disagreeing with him! Imagine how the poor women feel! He's whining now about "MM bullies" like me. I'm no bully, I just hate rude pigs. And I told him off. He's still here, so I'm not so scary as a "pompous regular." Name-callers are so jeuvenile.
But we need more civilized, funny input, especially from men! Please, join the party.
So blondie, how long have you been on here to be a 'regular?"
