Not looking for a rich lady, just looking for a lady. Someone to hang with and have fun with. I just joined this site today cause I thought it would be interesting to check out how the rich and famous date. A local radio show said Charlie Sheen was on here so I thought I'd check it out. I see however that nothing is any different then any other dating site. I DO see alot of shallow dudes on here (Pay for my education, buy me this, buy me that)
I am not a Millionaire but I live life like I was one! Always have fun! Your only here once! Gotta have a sense of hummer! :)
I love paintball. We use FX training at work. Alot like paintball but utilizing our duty firearms. Just replace the barrel. Primer powered paint ball basically. The weapon fires and functions the same except it shoots a paint ball....hurts!
sharp1 write: Has anyone noticed that MM has imposed the limit of 2000 characters again? Gee Rob...was that before or after your post of May 27! Whew! :-)
Must have snuck it in before the upgrade. Gee, I hope I didn't ruin it for everyone. I really like computer games, working out and paintball... Almost as much as I like women!!! ROFL
Just checked it in MS Word: 1028 words, 4495 characters, 68 sentences and 76.3 on the Flesch Reading Ease scale.
While I only took a few courses there, I guess I am the Ramblin' Wreck from GA Tech...
(BTW, I left 1400 this time)
LOL...You must have time on your hands to figure that all out Rob. Thanks for taking it in the good humour it was intended.
Sure, I had 30 seconds to cut and paste into Microsoft Word and spellcheck, then another 30 to type the post. I mean if someone doesn't have a minute to reply to a friend, what kind of friend are they? :o)
Watching the 2000 characters count go down, it strikes me that this will not so much kill the long winded posts as the ones that are quotes of quotes of quotes of quotes...

Hope you aren't gone yet. Seeing as YOU'RE just a kid, (LOL) I want you to talk some of your older coworkers into checking out MM so that, if they look anything like you,I can hit them in the face and tell them I like them and to call me.
JOHNNYBRAVO_CDN write: Hey Robtest, thoese are great odds!!! 7:1...liking them. Plus I love the southern accents they have down there. So you help develop those flight sims? Want to know a secret...I love videogames....dont tell anyone. Wouldn't want them all to think I was immature or anything like that. Love the shooter games (SOCOM1, 2, 3). The PSP is sweet too. Did you just work on PC games....Ooops, Flight SIMULATORS...not games!
It's all about changing it up and driving yourself. The hardest part of working out is the actual "going" to the gym. I just want to be in better shape then most of the mouth-breathers I have to arrest.

Yes, those are tremendous odds! LOL, unfortunately, there aren't many computer type jobs there, so I am kinda stuck in "metrosexual" Atlanta for atleast another decade. If the stock market turns around (???), perhaps then this country mouse can escape the evil city and return to his beloved "hills of eastTN". Now a man like yourself, with a career like you have would have no problem there! LOL, those Charleston girls were quite "ooglie" at some of the muscly men walking by in the park when we were having brunch.
I am quite the gamer too. I work on Windows and Novell file servers for a large insurance company and love my work. It takes creativity and sometimes a little luck to make all the "toys" play nice with each other. Of course, computers speak standard protocols, so communication is much simplier than we are faced with in our Mars/Venus interactions. LOL
I am mostly a FPS (first person shooter) guy too. Finished up Call of Duty2, and bought a copy of Brothers In Arms (Hill 30) now that it has been out for awhile and the price dropped down to reasonable. Been role playing a bit in World of Warcraft, and play both the Human Alliance side characters and the Horde side with orcs. Great fun, and you get to "kill stuff" ingame too. Great way to take out the frustrations of the day!!!
The flight simulator stuff was cool. I liked it as much for making new things as for actually flying it. My planes were once the scurges of the internet. There were guys that were trying to get a "1% feel" out of it, as close to reality as possible. And while those were okay, this is virtual reality. I preferred making planes that were way too fast, turned on a dime and would blow you up from halfway across the sky. Now those were called evil mods, and rightly so, it was not fair to take those against non-modded planes. No joy/honor for me in doing that, much like stepping on an anthill and bragging about how many you killed. Now one of my mods against another of my mods, now that was a battle! At one point, my personal website was getting hundreds of hits a day with people download my stuff. I did planes (3d model design, flight characteristics, armor/guns) and some scenery design too. At one point, some buddies and I were having dogfights over the Atlanta Stadium.
Like most games, there are forums to support them. Ironically, many of the "youngsters" there display a maturity that is beyond these forums.
Of course my paintball forums are much the same here! LOL... My gun shoots better than your gun, and I am gonna kick your ass!!! :o) Have you ever played???
I have always liked guns and shooting. Being from the country, I learned early and even had an NRA marksman patch at age 8, which I got at summercamp at the YMCA. At that age, the hardest part was qualifying standing, as the .22 rifle was a big heavy then. My gun of choice now is a 9mm Sig 226 with the nightglow (trigicon?) sights. At 25 yds., I can put most of the clip in the black rapid fire.
BTW, what do you think of the Gangsta's and shooting a pistol sideways? ROFLMAO...
I got into paintball late for my age(32), but it was just emerging really. I got addicted to it and even played tournament level and traveled the southeast playing all over. The adreneline rush is like no other(well maybe good sex!), and while you get bruised up a little if you don't keep tight on your bunkers, no one gets too hurt and no one dies. I tell all my hunting buddies that with paintball, "I shoot turkeys all year long".
Agree with you on the going to the gym being the hardest part. I once heard that if the gym isn't within 10 minutes drive, it would never workout. I have most of my own equipment in my basement. Prefer to be outside hiking, biking, swimming, but have some free weights, and one of the Chuck Norris Total Gym things. It is pretty cool, and you vary the angle and use your own mass against yourself.
Ironically, as much as people whine about losing weight and not being in shape, it truly does only take 20-40 minutes 3-4 times a week to keep good tone. I inherited my mother's lovely blue eyes, quick wit, and pisces nature, but unfortunately, I also got her small bone structure. Just can't hang that much muscle off the tiny bones. But I do the best I can with what God gave me. I have decent tone and 12% bodyfat. A couple years ago, I broke 200# and decided to get back in shape for my 45 Bday.
I agree with you on the personal trainers, but for a beginner, that is an excellent place to start. Certainly, fellow weight lifters are better for the actually lifting of weights and the ins and outs of that. The PTs are more generalized (wider but not as deep in their knowledgebase).
I had to laugh at the "roid monkeys" comment. With the Barry Bonds controversy going on, I have seen a couple documentary type shows. One man was saying "Humans have evolved over thousands and thousands of years, but look at the gains in the last couple decades. Do you really think that we are evolving that much faster now? No, it is all the juice"... It kinda reminds me of a scene from the Harrison Ford/Rutger Hauer movie BLADERUNNER. One of the droids was asking the scientist who invented them why they had such a short lifespan. The reply "the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long".
Alright, enough of this diatribe. I am headed back downtown to the park for the Atlanta Jazz Fest. Wish me luck, as I am meeting a woman from the net for the first time! Of course, I do always keep in mind my 5:90:5 theory. LOL
JOHNNYBRAVO_CDN write: I have got more from fellow weight lifters at the gym then I have ever off of a personal trainer. I find them great for diet information but as far as muscle gain...nah. There is nothing wrong with talking to someone at the gym that you see has got good results. Even the roid monkeys can give you good tips on muscle gain (ie different and new ways of performing an exercise). The method I use to gain is a collaberation of different exercises. Diet is VERY important when you want to gain. Especially if you have found you are having a hard time gaining, could be your diet.
Have you always had a large build to begin with Johnny?

Lifesaver_notTHEcandy write: First of all, let me say that I am trying to decide if that was an insult or you just trying to be helpful.
I never did look into becoming an officer with the police as I said. So no, I did not get the information you just provided.
I am aware that there are personal trainers and other staff at the gym. That being said, I am sure you have not missed Johnny's obvious size. I thought I would ask a man who clearly has had great results.
I had a friend who was a black belt, 9th Dan living in my apartment building. He was a wiry little beanpole; 5' 7" like me but no bulk whatsoever.
He wanted to attend a big Martial Arts Championship in Chcago one year back in 1995 or thereabouts. He taught me Kung Fu and in return, I fed him. I bought all his groceries for three months: lean juicy steaks, chicken, eggs, cottage cheese and some greens. He was cut off beer and his favourite, Coke, and I only let him drink water and green tea. I also bought him protein powder, Lecithin and raw bran. I don't remember now, WHY I chose those things, but I DO remember I did a lot of research on diet for training, and that's what he consumed for 3 months, under my watchful supervision.
He found a pholanthropist who granted him the air fare, he went away to Chicago and a week later, he returned with the biggest, shiniest trophy I'd ever seen somebody win. He started out weighing 120 and went to the competition weighing in at a buff, toned 135. Since he didn't have the cash to get a gym membership, he did the "Rocky" routine and ran up hills and stairs and lifted rocks, tree branches and children. No ... he didn't punch meat. LOL He could do one-handed push-ups and performed chin ups outside swinging from the apple tree in the front court.
Nonetheless, Doctor, I hope Johnny, or one of his Crocodile friends, comes back and gives you some serious advise you can use. You've got the face ... and after your workout starts to show .... you'll be beating the women off with a stethoscope! LOL
Lifesaver_notTHEcandy write: May I step in? Just wondering how many times a week you work out Johnny? I used to want to be with the police as well when I was a teenager, but was always worried that I just wouldn't "make the cut". I've since gotten a great education, and work in a completely different field, but if you have any tricks that you could share with this Doctor, I would kindly accept any advice. I am well aware of nutrition etc, but I know there are work-out tricks as well that I am not aware of. Thanks in advance!
I should also mention I am looking for advice on increasing my size. Thanks
So now may i step in here. First off there is no specific ht /wt to become a police officer. But if you ever checked into that you would know.
JohnnyB may have hit the road, but for what it is worth...
Stat is right on height and weight requirement, but you do have to pass the PARE test (Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation), at least in Nova Scotia... Search on "Training Programs for Public Policing in Canada" for a good overview of the requirements.
Also try searching on "L is for Law Enforcement" too, it speaks of a fellow that was a diabetic that was accepted.
As Stat mentioned, a personal trainer at gym would be your best bet for weight training and mass gain! Being a doctor, I am sure you can probably evaluate the myriad of weight/mass gain supplements. I tend to go for endurance training rather than mass/strength, but do normally start the day with a protein powder milkshake. Be careful with some of them as they tend to have "cutters" that are designed to slim off the excess fat, and tend to muck with your metabolic rate some.
