Well... In my "pare" time I like to take my dog out for a run in the park or relaxing on the deck with a nice cool drink while swinging back and forth. I do some volunteer work with develop mentally challenged children. I like going to the movies every so often - The last movie I saw was Unleashed. When I want to have a good time I venture out to a lounge in Toronto, or I keep it local. I like spending time with family and friends. One hobby of mine which I would recommend to anyone one is KITE FLYING. When I say go fly a kite I mean it literally. It is so much fun and relaxing. :o)

CUB..you have sure got humour pared to the core..lol
btw..I think you could pare chocolate with this special flake-curler to make them into little curly flakes to garnish your delicate desserts..after a candlelit dinner on the porch with your date ..and that thing is less threatening than your fruit knife..available at good specialist gourmet shops..happy pairing -PARING..:)

    Hello Everyone,
I think that our hobbies really give us true meaning for our soul. I am a singer. My sound is a lot like a cross between Olivia Newton-John and Allison Krauss. I love to do everything from Jazz to Opera. Country is OK.... Basically, I love to sing it all.
I have a CD that I am promoting. If anyone there would like a copy let me know. I think $5 plus the cost of shipping would be fine. It is 20 songs of Cover artists, but in my style. Artists like Frank Sinatra/Norah Jones/Olivia Newton-John/Barbra Streisand and others. Let me know. I love to share. Just after you listen, promote to others if you really like it.

HI everyone. I am a leather artist. (No, that does not mean whips and chains!). I do three dimensional portraits of horses and people in leather (framed fine art). I've shown all across the US, Europe and Japan. Am also a silver and goldsmith and a writer (worked as a journalist for 14 years). Can't imagine living without adding beauty to a day. That is the art of living!

I was impressed with the wide array of activities everyone takes part in. My creative juices are channeled into writing. I've written for several daily papers and am attempting to transition into freelance magazine work. I finally secured my first book credit this year as a contributor for one of the Chicken Soup for the Soul anthologies. I often think that if I hadn't chosen law, I would've went into journalism.

Well I'm terrible at art, but appreciate it....can't play an a note but enjoy most types of music and listening to it...have an eclectic mix of CD's and attend alot of concerts.......read a ton, from the paper to biographies, interesting what we can learn from others lives.....self improvement and expanding thought books.....have taken up gardening.....not always successfully but enjoy getting my hands dirty and the effort......playing with the computer and trying to figure it out without formal training, great challenge......... got a puppy this year, my first dog, always had cats but this has been fun and a loving experience and interesting on how to train her........enjoy my job and working with the elderly...emotionally rewarding and a challenge some days......home renovations......somethings I'm great at.....others.....well going to have to hire a professional to fix! :D Travel and seeing and exploring new (to me)places.
I guess that's about it.....enjoying new and different things, my children and grandchildren when I get to see them, live about 500 miles away!
Just enjoying the ride and the scenery of life I think is what I'm saying.

I heard about that book, The 5 Languages of Love. Isn't it about the ways in which people ecpress and show their love, ie. tactile...showing their love through touch? Maybe I have the wrong book. If it is good let me know I will pick it up as it may enhance my love life...ya right.
My hobby is scrapbooking. I have always kept a scrapbook for each of my kids but when I went to a scrapbooking party a five years ago, I found out how much fun it can be to make a beautiful and colorful scrapbbok for each child. The pages take forever and you can get ideas through books but everything is acid free whcih means each child can keep their scrapbbok for generations and the color will remain..not fade. I am now on my second book for each kid. You do the pages by themes and it is a lot of work but very stress relieving. My kids think their books are the coolest things and even show them off to their friends. They are at the age in which Mom is not so cool anymore to have around their friends so I am surprised they are still proud of thier books. Anyone else do scrapbooking?
