Has anyone on this site lossed someone extremely close to them? I posting this blog so that we can talk about the pain, and share storied about all the good memories they have. My Brother Orin, died 4 yrs. ago. He was my bestfriend, and I miss him with all my heart. My Mom and I are extemely close too. We talk about him all the time, and it makes it a little easier for us. *Advice for anyone who's ever lost a loved one, keep their memories alive by talking about them.

I know the pain your going through. I'm so sorry! I too have suffered the lose of a love one. Mine was my only daughter who was 20 years old. She was kidnapped and brutally murdered 7 years ago by four young punks. It took almost 5 years to get them all convicted of first degree murder. 1 got the death penalty, 2 got 25 years to life and the youngest who was only 14 got 10 years. This death happened 3 weeks after her mother and my X wife died from cancer. One month after my daughters death my oldest son lost a little boy who was only 7 months old to a problem with a brain anurism. Trying to deal with this over the past 7 years has been the tuffest thing me and my family have ever suffered. What got me through this is my belief in God and to know they are all three with there heavenly father. I find the best way to cope with this is by keeping very busy and sharing this story with people I meet in my area and also with online friends. You'll never forget these things. I only try to replace those sad memories with new ones with my family and friends.

Troubled Princess, Thank You so much for sharing that wonderful story with me. I am also glad that you got to grow up with such a wonderful fill- in father. I know he's looking down on you, and is extremely proud of you. So here is one of my fondest memories of my Brother. One Christmas, my Mom begged us to go take pictures with Santa, and I said no. (I was still a teenager, and embarrassed!) Orin, my Brother didn't say anything at the time. So I just assumed he wasn't up for the idea either. The very next day, after he got off of work, he went to the mall, and got a picture with Santa. Just for my Mom. My Brother was 6'1, and 200 pds. He was actually bigger than the guy who was playing Santa Claus. The picture made Santa look like a little person. My Mom laughed so hard. It meant so much to her. She still keeps it hanging up on the fridge. The part I love was that he was a grown man, and he wasn't embarrassed at all. He was and always will be a Momma's Boy.
