Has womens lib taken that all away from us ??? It is possible to take the masculinity away from a man,, but should we,,what's the right thing to do,,??Are cooking our own goose or are we being smart,,should we think unselfessly and act acordingly ???do we manipulate,, without hurting feelings,, without getting the job done,,or do we have to learn how to do it ,to make ourself comfortable,,,,do we sink or do we swim ??? it is all love or give and take in our desiring ways,,??? we should do everything with love an tenderness!!! all things in love are giving to one another,!!!! celabrate life,, be in love,,, give to one another,,,,,,,italian8angel

ciDinco,, In my eyes my father was a great hero,,He came to America with grape vines, beans, tomatoes, basil and many other produce that America did not have at that time!! Did you know that those products where unknown in the 20's ?? At Ellis Island and in America the foods that Italians brought where unheard of? He also boxed his way to be a professional golfer,,to this day there are only 25 thousand in the US,,He also was the founder of the JR golfers of America and still ho;lds the longest hole in one in the Pacific north west,, and beat Byron Nelson,,, and many other Nobel things,,,

Back to a serious note. I think in our age, the term "hero" is used WAY too loosely. Athletes and celebrity's are NOT hero's, contrary to what common belief apparently put them there. Now, if one of them does something tremendous, like run into a burning building to save a cat, that is a hero. 9/11 SHOULD HAVE shown us first hand what a "hero" is. Looking for a millionaire is not looking for a hero. It is beautiful that you have but your father in the category of being your 'hero' and I cannot say I would not place mine there as well, but your father can't be a hero because he possesses the characteristics of being "a loving man that is charismatic, educated, worldly, manerly, open minded, fair, honest, etc." That does not make one a "hero." I think Webster said it best: 1. In mythology and legend, a man, often of divine ancestry, who is endowed with great courage and strength, celebrated for his bold exploits, and favored by the gods. 2. A person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life. 3. A person noted for special achievement in a particular field.
