Would you keep or sell 10 carats in diamonds Sort by:

So I accidentally deleted my photos showing the almost 10 carats in diamond, not including the diamond necklace I have, that my ex has given me over the years. It was too so my manicure and a course  my diamonds.  And if I really wanted to I could just retake the picture  but it's the whole point that I deleted the blog and it has the most response! At first I was upset but then I started thinking maybe this wasn't the way I wanted to portray myself. Mayne this is the Infinite Creator telling me  to let go of the things he has given me. Or maybe by me holding onto and always showing pictures of all of the material things isn't allowing for the new man to come into my life.

A lot of the time even if I'm running to the Publix to grab a few things I wear all of my diamonds in the street!  I tell myself the reason is because I want men to know that I'm used to the Finer Things in life. But shouldn't my demeanor show that? I mean to say I've always had diamonds and gold (never this much, however) and the men in my life have always taken very very good care of me. Never me seeking them out or ever asking for things; I've always just attracted men like that.  It's always been this way for me. But now it feels like I'm determining my self worth by the carats that I wear.

So now that I accidentally deleted my blog (sorry to the lovely people who responded) my question to you is this:

Should I sell my jewelry he has given me?  Including the diamond necklace I never wear?

I'm open to all suggestions! And yes I posted a photo of my delicious succulent ribs. You may ask why I will tell you! Because I am a damn good freaking cook!

Sell it and give the money to Charity
This way , you and your ex ( indirectly ) have given of yourselves without any attachment.

Nobody cares how many diamonds your ex gave you stop bragging about that in all your post it just make you sound gettho
Classy people don’t talk about money

I agree with you here. They way she tells her story sounds grossly inappropriate for proper society. The story didn't need any details and should have simply inquired if one should give back gifts received during a relationship.

Thanks Maryclaire.  One I'm keeping for sentimental reasons because I really do like it LOL one is up for Consignment and the last couple I agree with you on. I will probably keep them for a rainy day because yes you are right! No matter how stable or rich someone think they are they can always fall! And the higher you are the steeper the fall( I speak from experience).

The diamond necklace is what I really wanted to get rid of because I really think it has bad vibes on it! He gave that to me for this past Christmas and every since then our relationship went downhill!

@Sexy_Single_Mom,

It seems that your necklace has a bad karma .. if you believe in it and you felt better then do it for your sake .

Sell the items and donate the money.

Thanks for responding. 😁  Do you really think you would be able to do that after many years in a tumultuous relationship that ended badly? To be honest with you that was the one thing that come to mind. Probably very sad to admit that however.🤷‍♀️🤗

So I put my diamond necklace on consignment because that means the least to me! Turns out like they say everything that glitters ain't gold! Hahaha the diamond is an okay Diamond at best!  It's worth about half of what he told me it was! LOL but the main thing is I got the bad energy out my house and I feel better already!

I will say that the Jeweler actually would not let me put my ring on consignment! Instead he is resizing it to fit on the other hand he begged me not to sell it because as he said this ring has more carats than Bugs Bunny! Hahaha
