I have never been attracted to the type of women that always look like they are ready for a glamour photo shoot.  It seems such a waste of time to me and so artificial.   I had much rather hang out with someone who wears a T Shirt and shorts around the house than someone who always has that dressed up fit-to-kill look.  Those hands and nails that will never touch dirt, that are allergic to any kind of manual labor, activity or sport is just not appealing to me.  I always had a office type of job but my fun in life was usually some project or sport after work. I don't do much of these type of things anymore (age) but the instant gratification you get when you get your hands dirty and do something physical was much more satisfying to me than my sedentary day job. The day job was very mentally challenging but the feedback, if any, would be years down the road - when you finally found out if what you designed or helped design worked or not.  I am also not comfortable with men who look like they are ready for a photo shoot either, and heaven forbid if they get their nails dirty or a scratch..

I live in a divided sort of town.. One side is full of hard working industrial, engineering and aerospace types. The other side of town is full of what we call plastic people. They don't have a dime but when they go out you would think they were worth millions. They dress great, drive a great car, spend big, and don't have a dime in the bank, investments zero, maxed out credit cards, fake charm, etc.

Needless to say that my side of town don't go prowling much on the other side of town..  It is like being on another planet.

Yes, disabilities can preclude a person from repairing something or replacing a tire, however that doesn't stop you from knowing how. If you know how to do ordinary things and you have the tools,  you can usually find someone who can provide the muscle.  The problem as I see is that most people don't want to even bother to learn and frankly that makes them helpless in my humble opinion. I don't understand why anyone would want to be so helpless, so unknowing.

I am not crazy about helpless men or women either.  If you can't fix simple problems around your house or with your car, etc. without calling someone then you are going to be SOL someday when those services are not available. Don't knock on my door, you had plenty of time to learn.  I will probably tell you how to do it but I won't do it for you.

Mostly I agree.  I recall fixing a carb on my car in the parking lot of a grocery store in below zero weather.  I am glad I now have the choice of calling a tow truck to haul it off to the shop.  Then I was glad I knew how to fix it.

Also, some folks have non-apparent disabilities that preclude them doing some routine stuff like changing a tire.

Hello!

I agree to an extent. Makeup, while great when going out, is more of a hindrance to me personally. I have a very busy life, so makeup generally takes the backseat. While I am hygenic, I do not find makeup a necessity for my own personal hygene.

That said, makeup for some women is more than just about looking ready to do anything. Some women may have grown up in a household where not having makeup on is taboo, or they may come from a prior relationship where makeup was a necessity to remain relevant in the life of their other half. There are a great deal of women who wear makeup because they are incredibly self conscious. They do not feel attractive without it. These types of habits are hard to break. Empowering women to know that they are beautiful with or without makeup is a great way to help women be comfortable in their own skin. However, shaming them about wearing makeup is just as bad as forcing them to go without.

Thank you for viewing my content and I look forward to reading your replies. Warmest regards, Joy

Walk down any WALLYWORLD Cosmetic aisle, and what do you get...LIGHTS...What does that say? WALLYWORLD wants women to examine their face, and conform to what HOLLYWOOD wants them to look like, though that 6 dollar lipstick fails to make them STAR QUALITY...

The Husband is put in a precarious position...What about this lip color,Dear...Well,Says the Husband...It's near Holloween...Go for it!!!...https://youtu.be/iuHr00nxeew...LV1:)

I agree WWWW12345 , some women do it , make up on day and night because they feel naked , uncomfortable , insecure without it as well as they look ugly and terrible ...Cosmetics in general changed the quality of the skin specially those with heavy make up ...The skin loses its natural glow ..The Hollywood women and Models are usually - specially affected because of the exposure to light additionally ...

BUT in general , I agree with HOPING , women takes off everything once at home and just be comfortable ...

DAK , Im glad to hear from you again ...Is everything Ok ??!! Were you not busy dating beautiful girls in town ??!! LOL

A no make up woman is your choice and its your right to decide for it but does it said the character of a person !!?? In my experience I have known women all over the world with make up ( warrior painting whatever people say ) and no make up ..I found out that both never reveals their true color but it is a mans decision to accept and respect whatever a woman is used to ..Im just saying ..and don't get me wrong , Im not trying to convince you either ...

I hope you find the woman you want ...Goodluck ...

I agree... I think what WWWW is tryig to convey is he prefers a woman who is comfortable in her own skin... I belevie that is what DAK is also saying...

When a woman is comfortable with herself, she is more relaxed and more apt to not stress the small stuff. Now THAT is a personal quality any man or woman prefers... wealthy or not!

Quoting Dakota35:

Hi WWWW,

I'll have to agree.  Now I think women look good in reasonable makeup, but some women take it to extremes.  Sadly, I've seen absolutely beautiful women ruin their looks by trying to please society.  Makeup can always be washed away and it does provide some protection from UV, but tattoos, fake boobs, body mods, and plastic surgery (those damn pumped lips for one) is a little more difficult to erase.  I've seen absolutely beautiful women completely screw up their looks.  I think it is difficult for women to distinguish between types of attention and what that attention brings.  Also, another example and a good example which applies to both men and women is bodybuilding.  Neither men nor women like the look of extreme bodybuilding.  Women don't like the huge over-sized muscles and veins, and men don't like women that look masculine.  As for the type of women that have never gotten their hands dirty, well they wouldn't fit well with me.  Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and what they find attractive. But, I just hate to see women with so much potential ruin their looks because they believe society expects them to look a certain way.  I can tell you for a FACT when wealthy men seek a wife, they don't look for tattoos and fake boobs.  They look for a woman that is natural.  Now low-life wealthy men that have acquired their money through luck, they very well may look for the tats, fake boobs, etc...but those relationships will never last.

When I see stunningly beautiful women constantly trying to look better by doing the things I described above, it is a clear sign that they are not content in life. They are seeking to find something they want but don't have, and I'm pretty sure that some don't even know what they want, but they just know there is a emptiness in their heart.  I know exactly what they are missing, the love of a good man.  But try and convince them of that.

I think it depends on the person.... And money makes no difference. I have dated extremely wealthy men that were not "trashy wealthy men" who liked my tattoos. They also liked the stories and meanings behind them. Some wealthy men have them and others do not. I have found the majority who do have them have a military background and got out of the military and became successful.

I have also dated wealthy men who HATE boob jobs and others who didn't care and even one extremly successful attorney who PREFERRED a boob job. Someone's preferences is not indivative of the amount of money in the bank. I find men to be more concerned about how the woman ACTS and TREATS HIM. Most would not take a loud, obnoxious and potty mouthed woman, as they do not wish to be embarrassed.

Just because someone does not have your preferences does not make them "low life wealthy men."

I do think society has gone overboard with this stuff, however. When a woman's lips look like she is having a bad reaction to lobster??? HA! TALK ABOUT UGLY AND A DISTRACTION!!! (For me) it's like looking at an awful train wreck... You hate seeing it... but you just can't turn away!!!!

I have yet to meet ONE WOMAN in 48 years who had to wear makeup when lounging at home.. NEVER -- NOT ONE.

If i had to say a numbers game, the amount of women who wear makeup versus not? I am going to say 50% wear makeup consistantly, while 25% NEVER wear it and the other 25% does now and again. HOWEVER, as I stated. I have never known a woman who "lounges" at home in makeup.

Most women lounge in sweats and a T-shirt as well.

How many women have you lived with to consider they lounge aorund all made up? I've NEVER met a woman that gets dressedup to sit at home.

The majority of women I know also camp, fish, hunt, etc... (or some variation of these things.)

I prefer a man who takes care to how he looks. For a man, that is usually a shower and clean shaven. Cologne and decent clothes.

I have yet to meet one man in my life that was afraid to get dirty.

I think you have been infected with took much Kardashian ...

Reality show stars are the ONLY people who always wear makeup and are dressed up all the time..

Women who do not have the cameras on us?

WE TAKE OUR BRA OFF AS SOON AS WE HIT THE DOOR! ;-)

I agree Dakota..  In fact I have seen women so made up I am sure you would not recognize them without it.  I heard one woman say that her husband had never seen her without makup. That she got up early and put on her makeup before he woke ip so he wouldn't see her without it..  Seems strange and sick to me.  I am afraid I just  wouldn't properly appreciate a glamour type..  lol
