So I am currently training for my 10 mile Edinburgh Bupa  Great Run on the 27th April. I am running for the charity Pancreatic Cancer UK as it is a very important charity to me after loosing my dad. So if you would like to sponsor me just let me know and I shall send the link to my just giving page. Donations can be anonymous and every little helps.

Many Thanks

Sarah :-)

Sarah, I know that I can find you on Google Earth :]  your blond hair stands out. 2003 y for me. As for running 10 miles in under 1hr 45 minutes I think is great. I haven't run 10 miles combined in the last 20 years, so it's up to you what your looking for in your time. Your run is for a cause that you dearly believe in and not a gold medal so just finishing will bring you great joy.

Good luck on your run and hope to hear from you.

Oh yeah and weatherwise. Rain, Rain, Rain. However, that keeps me cool so I don't mind too much.

Welll.... I'm not on any special diet really. I live by everything in moderation. I managed to do an almost 10 mile run the other day.  It was 9.91 miles which means I technically can do the full run now. Just want to do it with ease. Not sure what a good time is for that but managed it in 1 hr 39 minutes. So going to try and speed up.

Sarah :-)

Quoting MissMonteCarlo:

Hello,

sorry for the delay in reply. It has been such a busy week. That is so kind for your offers. Will need to see who has membership so i can forward a link because my link contains my full name and not comfortable posting that on here.

Yes Leon it's pretty far well for me anyway. However, the training is going well.  I'm at 6 1/2 miles just now so just need to keep building on that.

Roc good to hear your daughter is involved in raising money for chariries too. So many great causes out there and it's great to get involved. I'm thinking of a half marathon next year depending on how this goes.

Sarah :-)

She ran the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC.  They put some sort of chip in her running shoes and evrytime she passed a checkpoint I would get an email detailing her progress.  I thought that was so cool.

Is it a Carb diet, MISS MONTE CARLO, THAT STIMINATES YOUR SYSTEM...Are you shifting PH to hydro? Those concentrated smoothy blends(especially, that Mango undertone(sugar), and the arrangement of diet as you progress?

What is your trend? Are you a sustained runner(avg. 4 miles/day beyond the Race)?  It's been raining buckets in the U.K. How has Edinburgh delt you with weather?....The Leo mind...Go figure!

Quoting leonicvirgo:

As a true Scot lass, and honoring your father; that true Leoness shines, MISS MONTE CARLO will strive 3724 yards- around 12 1/4 American football fields. 1 football field opposite goalpost would probibaly be blurry in my eyes...good once as I ever was. I was captured by people I shoved water at an event giving thanks 4 seconds before the handoff, and disapearing in their wind. I've hit,"The Wall", a few times.

I always think about genetics when I hear Cancer, and there is interesting genetic marker mutations when dealing with that subject. I would councel anyone to get a DNA snapshot when it get's serious in a malady, and Pancreatic Cancer carries several (inherited, and environmental) DNA mutation markers according to John's Hopkins Pathology Genetics literature.

Have a good run! :-)  LV1

I don't understand most of what you write Leon but I do know that one mile is equal to 1760 yards.   A ten mile run would be 17600 yards.

A football field is 100 yards from goal line to goal line.  12 1/4 football fields is 1225 yards.

I don't know where the 3724 yards comes from, can't help you with that.

It's certainly a great cause Sarah... good for you.  My younger daughter has done marathons and half marathons for Leukemia and Lymphoma, she's done the 3 and 4 day Aids bicycle rides.... and even did a 100 mile ride with Lance Armstrong before he fell from grace.  It's a great way to raise money for worthy causes and she now works for the organization that plans and executes the Avon Breast Cancer walks here in the USA....
