Fishy, something is wrong with this weather...it was ZERO degrees F in Bama.  I've been under my rental property fixing pipes and insulating things.  Everything is harder in cold weather.

NSS [No Crap Sherlock] :]  everything IS harder in the cold. While your down there fixing the weak spots, fix them right. It might never get that cold for you again but then again, it might and it could happen when your unable to DIY so man up with some extra money and time. You might find yourself in a spot where ZERO degrees feels warm and you'll be glad you did it right. It only takes once to wish you'd gone ahead with the "overkill".  Just my frozen opinon.

And I have to submit a correction.  His hair actually is cut.  It's just his younger profile pic that has longer hair.

Your hair looks fine Andrew.

Andrew....do you know any other languages?  IBM has a pretty big presense in Brno, Czech Republic.  They have sales positions open for people who can speak English, Czech....possibly Romanian.  Look on their website.  Last time I looked there were a lot of jobs posted for eastern Europe.

I get a sense of sensuality and intellectual curiosity.  His profile is interesting….through the selection of his pictures and the phrases he sprinkles throughout the profile which speak to me in a curious way that suggests intellect.  Conversations with him would likely be contemplative, interesting, winsome and a little off beat.

You definitely have to ask for the order but it's preceded by a sales pitch.

A structured call requires that you

1. Establish rapport

2. Make an initial benefit statement

3. Specify features, benefits and advantages

3. Answer questions and handle objections

You can try to make the sale at anytime by sending up trial balloons before you summarize and ask for the order.

Seeeeee Roc....you can be nice.  That's some good info.  The Dalai Lama said, "If you want a piece of immortality, pass your knowledge on to the next generation and a part of you will live on."

(I think I got the quote right)

Diana you are so cute and with your Babe Ruth comment...makes me smile woman. Babe Ruth was the first rookie pitcher to win a world series game and that was 1916. His career was 22 years mostly between then and 1938.

He died in 1948. Do love your comments though there are those that would tell you, I need a nurse...badly. (Oh, and take the college pics down ok, nobody gets to look that fresh and cute at 50anything)

Pedestrian~

Well aren't you a sweet honey!  I appreciate your very kind comments!

lolol....I guess I have been totally exposed as inept with my baseball history....but if you need quick and decisive corrective action for hypovolemic shock....I'm your girl.  :))  *wink*

~warm wishes~

First of all, don’t worry about negative feedback.  Your ambition and youthful exuberance is very endearing!  I’m not sure if you ever heard of Babe Ruth, but he was one of the most successful American baseball players of the 50s.  Although he hit many home runs during his career…..he ALSO struck out a lot!!!!

You cannot hit the ball if you don’t ever swing the bat!!!  At least you are swinging.

The thing that impressed me about you is that You Asked for the Sale!  Every successful businessman does this.

You have a big personality and you’re definitely smart enough.  I suggest you clean yourself up.  Cut your hair; get some nice slacks and a couple of nice shirts.  Try to get a job in sales.  Make some money….but most importantly make contacts in the business world.  Never lose sight of the goal.  Dreams really CAN become reality…..if you work like hell while you’re dreaming!

Good luck!  :))

I have several great business ideas. One has been around for decades and is in chemical techinology but it not only reuqires more $million in research and development but needs to compete with an exisitng established market.

I have a great idea for women clothes, easy enough with great margins, yet while that is not technology sensitive, it would reqiire millions in adverising or the retailers won't touch it.

I also have a technologically risky idea that would 'fix' nuclear waste that would also take millions to just begin.

So what anybody needs for investment is not just ideas but a business plan that shows where the revenue and eventually profits come in and it must be plausible not just pie-in-the-sky.

The vast majority of investors are risk averse and stick to paper-trading and real estate especially in down times like we have had for the last few years.

I've read where America's (and others) billionaires want to pledge to give away billion$ or trillion$ before they the leave this world. I have an idea for that in how it could create thousands of new jobs, was 7 years an IBM contract/marketing adninistrator but again, they pursue the normal routes that are less than effective.

You are much younge than I, so just keep plugging away but you will need a formal presentation to get investors.

I didn't hear anyone say they didn't like you???  You have a very popular blog, because you/it are so far out there.

Diana, I would just like to point out that he displays the characteristics of our youth today.  Disclaimer: Not all inclusive.

You have to admire the guy for taking a chance...even if it only has a very small percentage to succeed.  I once thought about doing the same thing, but when you have to work for a million, it makes you appreciate it, gain knowledge, and grow.

Jesus didn't need a million and he is the most well known/influential person in history.  So why is it that you need a million?  Put on a bath robe and some sandals, and hit the streets telling people your story and ideas. Vegas or Hollywood would be a good starting point. (Just because there are more sinners there)  Best of luck.

Dak~

No, Jesus did not have a million.....but he had Mary Magdalene.....who likely bankrolled him!!  There is no indication in the Bible that Jesus was running a street beggar/panhandling operation.  Someone was paying the bill.  Have you ever thought of that?  How much food, water, gear does it take to support 13+ people wandering around from town to town??  lolo

Andrew is right.  Likely he will receive help from a woman.

There is a show over in the UK called "Dragons Den" and people put forward their business ideas to a panel of successful multi millionaires and they choose to invest in you for a percentage of your business. It has worked out well for quite a lot of people. Maybe worth a try?

Sarah :-)

We have the same show here in the US.  It's called "Shark Tank"....

Is it possible for you to move to the United States?  There is so much opportunity here for an entrpreneur and while the streets are no longer paved with gold, the walls are papered with dollar bills... you'd really prosper here.

Oh... and Fibonacci called.  He wants you to call him back at 1123581321... he mentioned something about a Golden something or other.

I know I've had my share of failures.  One of my failures was building a dating site.  I had the second dating site on the Internet.  Some of my ideas have still not been implemented by others.  I hate failure, but as long as I learn from it, that's worth a lot.

I did not think this blog would last this long.  Normally MM gets all excited about folks who ask for money.  Or even try to use the blogs for business purposes.  Maybe they take it exactly as seriously as we do.
