Do we not judge, by the experiences in our lives?  I read this blog earlier and it sent me directly into the THINK TANK…you know that place you go, to assess a situation, gather information, form an opinion, in order to make a judgmental call of the subject at hand.

I came to the conclusion, that it is very unfair to judge a judgmental person, as being a sad person.  How was that conclusion arrived at??  Did someone observe people, who in the eye of the observer, were judgmental and in turn, judged them to be sad people??  It just seems, there was lots of judging going on, in order to arrive at these accusations.   I know numerous people, both on this site and in the outside world, who are very judgmental, but are so, in a good way.  They would never say anything bad about anyone or anything, you know, the ones that run the Happy Bandwagon…..I swear they must fart rainbows; their faith in mankind is that strong.  I seriously doubt if they are sad people, even though they are judgmental when they believe everyone is “such a nice person”.

Let’s face it….we all are judgmental people, in one way or another, good or bad.  We never label a person as being judgmental, until they voice an opinion, which might not line up with our own morals or beliefs…so we immediately judge them as being judgmental with a negative tone.  I’m not sure I could adequately function through life, if I didn’t have the right to judge.  I challenge all of you….the next time you are reading through profiles, trying to find your partner for life…or reading the blogs/forum here, do it without being judgmental…IMPOSSIBLE!!!

As to the theory that judgmental people are sad, I say pffttt!  Let’s all fart rainbows!!!!!!!

Happy judging !

Britt

I believe you can disagree with someone in a non judgmental way.  To judge is to criticize.  Many on here debate...sometimes we disagree with each other, but most on here are not being judgemental...just opinionated.  :)

As I said, who are we to be judgmental?  "Take the log out of your own eye before you try to take the speck from the eye of another."  If I were to say that there are some on here that seem to be too big for their pants, trying to use their intellect to put some in their places...that's my opinion, am I being judgmental, I don't believe so, it's my opinion.

I believe this saying seems to sum it up..."great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people."  It's one's opinion who falls in what mindset.

Hi Orlando,

We all judge whether you want to believe that or not.  I don't pick sides unless there is clearly a wrong.  I take no issue with you Orlando and in fact I think you are one of the nice guys (like myself and others on this blog) and a woman would be lucky to catch you.  Crap, that sounded a little gay.  Oh no, now I've offended gays. LOL  I just can't win.

With all that said, I'll be the first to admit that I am judgmental.  And I welcome anyone that wants to judge me.  I will consider their judgment and decide if it is just, if it is then I will use that as constructed criticism.  If it is not just, then I will get angry and try to move above.  Developing a thick skin is really a great trait.  Who gives a rat's hind end what anyone thinks?

Frankly I think many are over sensitive to differnces of opinion, and call that judgement. As you noted we all make judgements based on all sorts of input. If someone blogs and another disagrees, that's judgement. I see alot on these blogs that I see little logic in and thusly I do judge the motivation if not the intelligence of the poster. I promise you I'm not a sad person. We all judge and we judge other people all the time on a myriad of criteria. If these studies are to be believed we are all sad. I judge that poor logic. Lest anyone be confused there is some humor in the above, but the main point that we all judge and should not be ashamed to do so is the point.

YAY! You are back! :)

I never understood why unhappy folks feel they need to slam or berate

other's blogs.

If they don't like it..then...Move on! It's real simple.

My mother always told me.."If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all".

Who are we to judge?  Is not God our final judge?  When one feels they are being judged...turn the other cheek.

I'm sorry you feel picked on Orlando.  I'm sure many, including myself, appreciate your blogs and are educated by your research.

Why worry about others...water off a ducks back as they say.   I have had my feelings hurt, but I'm sure it's not directed straight at me most of the time..if it is, then consider the source.

I, along with a few others have had some fun times on here with your surveys, but we were not directing it at you, just playing around among eachother.  You have a lot of good info and seem like a great guy..know that I appreciate you being part of the blogs.
