Now, For a man to fill the patio with laughter.....?

Ahhh....yes.  I try not to think those thoughts Leo.  Unfortunately....it will have to be someone else's man because I'm moving.  Hahaha.....my gf says I will never get it together before the housing market crashes again.  Of course I have a lot of excuses why I'm not making faster progress:  Working full time and activities of daily living.

Looks beautiful Diana!  I'm trying to figure out what to do with my back patio... do you have any plans you could share?

Hah.....I'm a grasshopper....remember????  I have no plans.....just fantasies and survival techniques.  lolol

The whole project started by repairing the old rotten small deck, but then I got such a good deal on the lumber.....I bought all they had.  The 16' deck boards were $5/board.  So then I needed to make the deck bigger.....and THEN found out I needed some shade here in Texas.  I used a shade cloth because I couldn't afford the additional lumber for slats on the arbor.  Hmmmm....shade cloth is really expensive.  I bought a large painter's canvas drop cloth for $15:  washed it in hot water and ironed it so it would be pre-shrunk......then tacked it up there with some clips I found online.

Greetings and salutations!  I have been thinking of you my friends.  I hate it when people just disappear and give no explanation.  I’m alive and well; but over-whelmed.  Hmm…..how does anyone explain?

The truth is that I’ve been working!  That’s what I seem to do ….well…when I’m not dawdling.  *wink*   The deck is finished!!!   5 gal of stain and 1 gal of varnish….laid by me.  I brought in a yard and half of crushed granite for walkways and a truckload of mulch for all the flower beds.  Everything is blooming in Dallas.  My yard has never looked so good!  (My back has never hurt so much)  This week I got the ceilings painted.  So…..now that everything is all fixed up…..I will likely sell.  As much as I don’t want to move; my folks need me.

Anyway….you guys can handle all these political scramblings for a while.   It’s also true that I am weary of some things.

One good update!  I’ve started riding my bike in the mornings.  I’ve been riding for about an hour every morning before work.  Have to say, I do feel better and loving the spring mornings.

(I guess it’s ok for me to hijack my own blog)  Thank you All for engaging in the conversation.    I’ll be around.  I just have too much to handle right now.

Life goes on during this extensive downturn of the economy. At least, there are rules of engagement in Healthcare, now. I know first-hand. I don't mind pinging Senator's, and Congressional Representatives. Did it yesterday, and got results in 3 hours due to a healthcare problem in the family. Some scream& bash the problems of Government. There are avenues of address to government actions.

We're just voicing our opinions here... you can take them with a grain fo salt.  When I stripped away all of the extraneous gobble-de-gook I did detect a moment of clairvoyance in your post..... congrats.

Yeah,... I think we all can agree that the internet is worldwide.  Most bloggers that are on other sites do not tend to get excited over 1000 hits but if you want some kind of acknowledgement then congratulations to whoever.  I'll do a toast next time I have a drink in my hand.

Now since u mention Latin Mass maybe I am not as Old School as I thought!    The better term may be a "true"Catholic, I am not quite sure yet what to call it.  The important thing is to continue doing some research on why  don't trust this pope.

The people that like him are liberals and non-Catholics or naive Catholics.  It would take too much time and effort and another blog to post some things and I am also going off-topic here.

Here is a teaser though.  Video title: "Atheists are redeemed"says the dragon pope.  Last I heard the eye of the needle was still small and those who go to Heaven are those who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. Atheists are certainly NOT accepting Jesus Christ!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NVWzpJbi7c&index=158&list=PLA41189C88E69FDA0

Video title: URGENT!!!!(catholic Video) pope francis THE FALSE PROPHET (below)

Note: I am not saying I agree with every detail of these two videos. They are here for you to discern for yourself what u want to believe. I think questioning is a good thing regardless of what answer you may decide on.

PS Obama promised "Change", he sure is delivering on it although he isn't the change I had hoped for, it is quite the opposite. I would like Obamacare to be repealed, it may be too much to ask for.  Remember the Supreme Court already denied the tax issue regarding Obamacare.

You really don't have to trust him.  He's enigmatic.  He's been labeled liberal, conservative and socialist.  All I know for sure is he's Catholic.  He's made comments about gays and adoption, he's made comments regarding atheists and these comments were blown out of context

He is a kind, compassionate, humane soul but is firm is his commitment to the Catholic doctrine. I don't expect any change in doctrine regarding abortion, gay marriage, atheism, contraception or any other basic doctrine.

You should consider the source or dismiss the source and just be open to his love for all people.

Obama, on the other hand, is who he is.  He's a backroom, dirty Chicago politician who bamboozeled the young'uns into thinking he was different.  The reason his ratings are down is thst they have abandoned hime in droves.

America will survive Obama.  I think Americans are p*ssed off but we'll see come November.  Obama seems more concerned with is legacy than moving the country foward.  He's failed to deliver anything he's promised and I believe he will be viewed as one of the worst we've had.  He makes Jimmy Carter look good.  Prohibition was repealed, slavery was repealed and Obamacare will be repealed as well.

I'm also and old school Catholic who prefers the Latin Mass, meatless Fridays, going to confession and fasting before receiving Communion.  I believe in God, angels, ghosts and miracles and have been told that I'm alive as a result of a miracle attributed to Mother Cabrini... but that's another story.  My best friend became a Jesuit and they are the smartest, yet most humble of all of the orders.  While Francis refuses to demonize homosexuality I wouldn't confuse that with any change in doctrine.  The doctrines banning gay marriage, opposing abortion, maintaining celibacy as well as valuing but not clericizing women will not change but hopefully he will rid the church of pedophilia and corruption.

Haha, thank you Leon. I've just returned back from my run. Perfect weather conditions today. Cold with a cool breeze. I actually really enjoyed the run. I thought I would struggle due to the amount of hills on the course but I actually found it to be ok. I was actually overtaking  a lot of people on the hills. I guess all the training I have put in has paid off. I completed my 10 mile run in 1 hr and 35 minutes which has been my fastest run to date. So quite pleased.  All for a good cause. Now to sign up for my next run...

Sarah :-)

I heard on NPR, Sarah, that Scotland is negotiating to claim formal independence from Brittain. Can you enlighten us on these actions. Some bumpy roads ahead?  Dang Governments! :-)LV1

For some reason, your thread has disapeared,MMC. It may be well to be bound to England these days; a Country accustomed to setting rules. Some of the revolutions reflect ties with the UK, and solid allies. Society is an evolving culture, worldwide, these days.

When he should have been governing he continued to campaign.  He's screwed up everything he's attempted and has accomplished nothing that he promised.  Those who voted for him were duped and they will continue to be duped just like lambs led to slaughter because, like lambs they have non functioning brains.

Obama will finish his term and history will judge him but let's not let Hillary continue the process of bankrupting America.

Politics tends to be quite a fiery topic. People become quite passionate about what they think is right and how they view the situation based on what they have seen, read, heard or experienced. It is hard when we don't see eye to eye on viewpoints. However, we should try not to attack one another personally. Agree to disagree and keep it healthy.

In the UK politicians have been gaining a bad reputation due the expenses row. Politicians, lining their pockets with tax payers money and making fraudulent claims. Kind of  disheartening. I do like David Cameron and do believe he is trying to do his best for the UK.

I don't really follow politics in America so can't really make an informed opinion on Obama. I do like his personality and the way he presents himself. He does come across as a decent guy. Was never a fan of George W Bush. I used to think Bill Clinton was great until he had an affair and then what I didn't realise was that even before that he was a womaniser. So really lost respect for him after that. So character for me is very important I have to like the person and know that they are genuine, honest and decent. Those that get involve in scandal,, shady dealings, lack intelligence are just not fit to represent the people, We have also got to think about where our sources of information are coming from when reading about politicians, what the agenda of that source is.

I know that people were unhappy with Obama trying to change the health service to a NHS type system I recall. I was just looking at my payslip the other day and yes the tax man takes a great big junk of money out of my monthly wage, however I am glad to have the NHS. Just to know that no matter what happens you will never be in a situation whereby you need treatment and you can't afford to have it.
