Now let me direct you to my secretary and town “Certified” (She’s CERTIFIABLE ALL RIGHT!! LOL) Vegetarian Veterinarian / “Bat Woman,” whose words mean NOTHING to me as well! I only keep her around because. honestly, she has some pretty good jokes, she loves animals and I pay her absolutely NOTHING to do absolutely NOTHING and receive absolutely NOTHING in return!! Some might consider that a waste of precious time, I however, feel it’s kind of a Win-Win if you are thinking on the Positive side of your brain!

Yes, phone and net messed up badly. I am receiving mail, but not always able to pull up and have been busy trying to do what I "can" do while it does work, that I haven't paid a lot of attention to emails, as attachments are difficult to pull up!! GRRRRR!! I'M GOING INSANE!! LOL
And ... phone is dropping calls and not receiving data often! 7 calls dropped a few days ago!!

Hi Hope, Lolol....although I am far from an expert, I have spent more time in a horse barn than should probably be legal. I sold all my horses (12TB and 1 Warmblood) about 10yrs ago. I guess if I was good at it, I would have made money, but alas....for the all the money I spent on horses, I could have vacationed on the Riviera every year! lolol *wink*
The jockey is very much part of the equation. He has to understand the horse's strengths and negotiate a race stradegy properly. Often trainers have favorite jockeys, but they are mostly free lance contractors. The big time jockeys have agents.
I rarely bet unless it's on a horse I have a personal connection with. I prefer to spend my money at Nieman's. But I still watch the big races. I may try to go to the Dallas track to watch the Preakness. They will likely have some kind of party going on. I really like this horse and like the trainer. I have met some of the other big time trainers, but am not as fond of them.

I always try to WELCOME the newbies and by the time I got done, net fizzled! Sprint is integrating Nextel towers and it is creating havoc here! UGH!!
Anyway, DI-- you know I hold the highest respect for you and your career and I wanted to wish you a great week! Nursing takes a special kind of person, at least the GOOD ones. I know how your heart works, so I know even if I never agree with all your politics, I'd darn sure want you on my nursing team if I was ill!! ;)
So, some of what I was going to say, I will say here:

Dear Nurses, CNA's, PCT's, ANYONE who assist in nursing ....
THANK YOU for your hard work, compassion, and dedication to others! You are presented daily w/ people who are physically and/or emotionally ill; and are often times, drained of their HOPE. Many of you may not realise the impact you have on others and their recovery, or you may just need a reminder. YOU ROCK!! ;)
The kindness you display daily, and caring words you share, make all the difference to many; though we are often too sick to show our gratitude at the time. I have been on BOTH sides of the fence in patient care and have been blessed w/ some of the most loving nurses during several hospital "visits," and during very trying times in my personal life. With the support of my NURSES, I walked out healthier in mind, body and spirit, then I had entered. I can never thank them enough!
On the other side of the spectrum, please remember your presence can produce a positive or negative response from someone in need, whether they reciprocate your kindness or not. (I know, I've had difficult patients myself when assisting nurses! It isn't easy to remain kind to mean people! LOL) But I know from experience, many patients are simply lashing out due to the pain they endure and are often just afraid of the final outcome. It takes a special individual to keep this insight for the patients who lack gratitude during their struggle. I've witnessed many nurses and nursing staff being kind to patients who could/should have been thrown out the window! OOPS! ;)

I've got woodpeckers now Mtn,they just showed up last week.My hummingbirds will be here soon with the geese.
Fishy, I've got the woodpecker back now too! It's amazing the trouble this little guy can get into...just as long as he leaves my stucco alone. Can't wait for our hummingbirds to return...it's interesting that they hitch hike on the back of the geese.

We know for sure that Spring is here to stay, when we see the marvelous Scissor-Tailed Fly Catcher return to Texas to feast on all our bugs. Love this bird!
