Is it me or are we tired of these skinny boney creatures that are on all the magazine covers? I've always loved curves on a lady. It's what eye candy is for me. Guys, or girls, any thoughts?

The "skinny": Here it is, ladies--the bottom line on how to be "skinny" but not bony. (Trust me, i've been through this.) When you get thin but your skin is still kinda hanging, that is NOT FAT!!! That's your freakin' skin, for god's sake. You cannot diet that off, and more weight loss will not make it go away. Here's the secret: lift weights. Muscle is not fat. And you cannot "get too big" or end up "looking like a man" unless you're pretty much a freak of nature, or on steroids, so get over your big bad self. :) You will have curves, and they won't be fat curves. Trust me on this-- i'm 5'8", and once dieted myself down to a size 4, and i looked like the walking dead. Don't do this to yourself-- it is most definitely NOT sexy! And the bonus to weight lifting is that you can EAT and not put on fat! Woooohah! I used to work out for two hours every two days (--you don't have to do that much--) and then go get a foot-long hoagie, i'm not kidding. And NO fat gain! For the record, i think men should work out too. Success does not make up for a beer gut. Aw, c'mon, we can ALL find a half hour a day.

Honestly, winning points was not my aim. I was in the back of an airplane and found a People magazine. The girls on the cover and inside were truly awful! Skin and bones. No hips. No round booty. .No boobs. Nothing to cuddle up to! Even their faces were drawn and thin. Yay to the real women!

I just exercise and eat healthily. If we all did this, weight may not be such an issue. Being skinny is not good, being fat is not good, being fit and healthy is!

Flyrr, I bet you are going to be inundated with emails and winks in the immediate future! If this post was a ploy to ingratiate yourself to the fair maids of this site, well done! If it's genuine (and if I know you at all, I think it is!) then Wow! How refreshing are you?

Personally I have always thought voluptuous women were sexier than the heroin chic types that high fashion and couture labels favor. I am not exactly super skinny, but according to my quack doctors medical chart I am underweight for my height. I am a size 6 and I like being the size I am no smaller no bigger. I am still relatively curvy because the Black and Latina in me came out with the D cups and rounded backside so I am happy with my body, my only complaint is my skinny ankles. If I could give up this body I'd be built like Beyonce. (sigh)

I'll give a "yay" for the curvy gals. There should be more of them (on magazines, etc.)

WELL!!! My dad used to say he couldn't stand skinny women,, he equated it to"HOW WOULD YA LIKE TO SCREW A SPIDER".he said he would much rather have little bunny rabbit..and I prefer a big muscular stallion to a scrawny little donkey !!!!!

I am a size 8 and not exactly happy about that. I really do feel better when I am thinner. Yes, as a society we've been conditioned to believe thin is beautiful and I'm sure that adds to the allure. But I know that I am happier and feel better when I have lost the extra 15 lbs. However I'm guessing most women on here are going to be raising their glasses to you on this blog.
