Ya did it again! I am just amazed with the stupidity and shallowness of the people in this country! Romney was right the 47% were never going to vote for him...give up their freebies...never!

I would think with prices of EVERYTHING going sky high you'd not put obama back into office! Let me give you an example of stupidity. California. I could stop there but I shant! The damn state is broke yet, they voted for higher taxes. Does that make any sense? When B Hussein took over gas was less than $2...it's doubled.

He doesn't like America or Americans. He hates our military and said he'll defund them. He wants her citizens not to own guns...really Mr president? You have no idea how it pains me to even write that word or speak it. Florida is the "virgin" so to speak, with the armored 4 camera vehicles roaming the streets. This is a trial run. We'll all be subjected to those eventually. Big brother Hussein will unleash on us his "civilian army" on us soon too.

Donald Trump was lambasted and made fun of because he called for a revolution. Mr. Trump you won't have to. We the People will do that. As the Constitution gets more trampled and more and more of our rights and freedoms are taken from us, and they will be, something will have to be done. It will be up to those of us who love this country to try to right the wrongs.

I don't know how many born again Christians are on this site, but the stage is being set for a battle. People think those of us who believe in the rapture of the church are crazy. Some of may be a little nuttier than others *L* but it's going to happen.

I can hardly wait to see who responds. When B Hussein got elected the first time and I put up something about it, whew it was ugly! But you see that is the beauty of living in this country! We all have opinions...I could say more but you know that little saying I'm referring to right *w*

Well, well, well!    A real solid topic to discuss.   Been off for awhile, but I'm back!

What people seem to forget is that the last President Bush had a Democract Congress for his last two years.    A lot of what happened, happened because of that.    Oh, we forget so soon!!! The housing bubble was the big cause of this downward trend we are in.    The banks were forced to give out loans to those who could NOT afford them.    Then when they got into trouble, Congress (D) blamed them for the mess.   Oh what a web we weave!!!!!

Thanks for the topic and I hope to read and hear a lot more on the subject.

God bless you and yours,
John

America is becoming a true Ineptocracy.  Republic (which is what the USA is supposed to be) was replaced with Democracy (what most people use in describing the USA) and now CLEARLY that should be replaced by Ineptocracy...which is what I intend to call it from now...on.

Jenknee"  That NDAA crap is about the scariest stuff I've seen ever.

To Curious and everyone else- Yes, it is scary, then you add some other executive orders of his plus the healthcare law and the economy ,etc.and we seem doomed.

My original post here did not allow the link I had about the latest news on the NDAA. I am gonna try again but include the title on the video. So if it doesn't show, you can go to Youtube and type it in the search bar and you'll find it. Basically Judge Forest striked down part of the law as unconstitutional, the very next Monday another judge put it back into power.

Video title: Ben Swann and the Media's NDAA Problem

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1Kf_0mEoYU

Have you heard of QE3?  I think it's 40 BILLION a month with no end date! We cannot afford it. There is another video by Ben Swann again on YouTube that explains the nutshell version.

Obummer is getting us from every angle :(  Money/economy, taking away our liberties, arming our enemies, our healthcare, etc. I would say to have a drink but we may all become like the Sheeple if we do. Drunk Sheeple, lol, not good.

Jenkneee honey you covered everything! He is a scary man. You know he is only a puppet for Soros. He's not that smart. You can tell that by his lack of being able to complete a sentence on his own. His goal is making every American depending on the government programs for everything. People won't know or won't remember how to do for themselves.

Jenkneee he signed another one the letter and number escape me now but it's where they can come in and confiscate all food, water anything. Hell I've laid in bed at night and thought where can I hide stuff. Can I not going to continue on that thought cause it might work. Nothing is private anymore. As much as I post on FB and Twitter I'm sure my stuff is monitored....isn't that the craziest thing to imagine? Big freaking brother is everywhere! I guess I'm becoming a conspiracy theorist in my old age *L*

Hello Dekan, I think you're referring to the NDRP, an EO signed on March 16,2012. The National Defense Resources Preparedness is different from all other similar acts signed by other presidents in a very important way, it can be used in NON-EMERGENCIES!!  The naysayers will argue and say it is nothing new but other acts were only to be used in Wartime, NOT Peacetime.

I consider it the One-Two Punch by the president, first one being the NDAA, second punch is the NDRP. There are more coming too. A recent EO is to freeze anyone's bank accounts. The following shows the NDRP>You are so right about Big Brother, it is 1984 in 2012 and it is only going to get worse. I do suggest reading George Orwell's 1984 if you haven't already. It is fiction but it will set the mood and maybe put a fighting spirit into some who read it. Truth is stranger than fiction and we need to be aware of the truth. Current events are an endless topic but I do feel strongly that Obama is set to destroy our country. Our constitution is being torn apart. One by one, he is taking our rights and freedom away.

In the future, watch what will come with an immigration/amnesty bill. Our 36 months is almost up! I'm referring to aspects of the healthcare law that will soon come into effect. I have not researched the latest but Obama was working with the UN for an arms treaty. One of my biggest concern is what form of Biometric ID will come with the Healthcare law and Immigration Reform.

So they have the ability to take away our freedom, take away everything we own and instill a draft. They are poisoning us with GMO's, Chemtrails, vaccines, what we ingest (all those ingredients like flouride and aspartame) and more.  We are being radiated by Japan's nuclear mess and at the airports. Drones will soon be over our head while lightpoles are already being used to film and record anyone who comes within range.

* I did request that MM make a title of POLITICS in the forum and they are considering it. I wanted a more permanent, easy to see title there. Blogs are nice but they are only popular temporarily with titles getting lost once they hit the second page (for the most part).

I will part on a more postive note- Enjoy today because you may never know what tomorrow shall bring :)

Quoting Dekan09:

I know Bush got the ball rolling and i wasn't caring for him a whole lot at then of his second term. I also know Obama will not own what he's done. It will continue to worsen and it isn't his concern. I get so frustrated that I can't put into word what I want to say. He angers me and I loathe him more every day. He's crushing our country, our grandchildren won't grow up in the wonderful country we did. It makes my heart hurt and it makes me afraid of the government.

Well, I can put into words what I want to say...I just have to do it behind closed doors so I'm not arrested or put into a mental institution. :)

America is at a point where it's going to have to be broken to be fixed.  As I said, the Wealthy will suffer...but not that much (maybe they will not get that new yacht, the Middle will suffer...a little more...(that old car will have to do a few more years) but it's the poor that is going to suffer the most (I'm lossing everything).

No one takes responsibility for their own actions any more.  Always someone else to blame.  But if you touch a fire and get burnt you should be smart enough to not touch it again.  If the Jobless rate stays at 8% (real number is around 13%) for 4 years under a president and the people re-elect him then they deserve to get burnt.  Only sad part about it is that many people that voted against him will also get burnt.  A show of hands, how many out there think the wealthy are among the 8% out of work??? None? How many think it's easier for the Wealthy to hire and make demands on employees when jobs are limited?...to keep employees under hours to not pay benefits?  Thanks you Obama from the wealthy!  The Wealthy love you.  What?, you say you are going to tax the wealthy more...now you know their sophisticated tax planners can defer those taxes until you are long gone or they can just invest in other countries.  Wonder who is going to buy Hostess and open it up south of the boarder?  Mexicans will be glad to bake those artery clogging snacks for a 1/4 of what the union workers did.  But it's okay, because all those that lost their job will have 3 years of unemployment if Obama has anything to say about it...and after those 3 years, they'll be so out of shape from not working that they can file for disability.  They can speed the process up it they eat what they used to bake.  And Obama can tax the wealthiest people to get money to pay them...wait...where did all the wealth go and why didn't they pay all those taxes that we hit them with??? Oh well, then he can just print money, keep the people dependent and getting their vote will be easy.

Dekan09, I don't know how long it will take, but things will make a full circle.  In order for things to change, Americans will need to have a awakening caused by really difficult times.  Then they will SEE until life becomes easy and each generation will slowly become BLIND once again.

A little advice:  Look at Obama like a hurricane...hurricanes despite their destruction always causes a demand for something...and where there is a demand there is money to be made.  Markets are already adjusting to the possibility of Tax increases...money is moving around...Walmart paid their dividend early...people are already finding solutions to Obama's plans.

Quoting Dekan09:

President Reagan proved that to be right how bout it Dakota! Obama wants our country weak.

Dekan09, are you trying to get me stirred up? :)  I guess you can tell that I do not like Obama's policies...that's the nice way of saying it.  You can dislike Obama because you think he may not be a American citizen, or a closet Muslim, or whatever.  I chose to dislike him for what I know for sure.  His economic policies are running up debt, killing jobs, and making the US more susceptible to terrorist attack.  Yes, America is weaker.

Now with all that said, Obama didn't create the financial problem, he's just throwing more fuel on the fire than any president in history.  I respected Pres. Bush in many ways but his spending policy was not one of them.  The real problem is that no one wants to confront our economic problems because by doing so, it will cause pain to the American citizen, thus making the (sitting Pres.) look bad.  This goes for the entire government (Rep. and Dems) and not just the President.  So what has happened, is that there is a cumulative exponential effect, and when things do come to a head all of America will suffer.  And America will suffer much more than if the government had just confronted and fixed the problem back when it would have inflicted less pain.

Reagan, clearly was not a selfish president.  He understood economics.  He also realized that much of what he did economically would be credited, not to him, but the next president.  A economy just doesn't turn around over night.  The US enjoyed intense growth afterwards.

Obama will never claim this economy.  First four years of the bad economy was Bush's fault.  The next four years will be blamed on the Republicans.  Hopefully the American people are not that dumb...and Obama will go down in history as the second Jimmy Carter.  A thought just entered my head...I'm not going to eat any more peanuts as they must make a person dumb.  Got to get some Jelly Beans.

Obama has absolutely no interest in or understanding of economics.  I equate Obama's ability more to a motivational speaker.  He does nothing, his accomplishments are few (other than being a good con...he is a attorney), but he expects everyone to listen and bow to him (as his words are like sugar on the tongue of the people).  You simply cannot raise taxes on anyone when the economy is bad.  You cannot kill jobs with environmental policy as has done in the coal sector.  You cannot impose laws on business that will hit their bottom line without the businesses looking for solutions (a way out).  You must put money, extra money into the pockets of business and consumers.  And this cannot or I should say, should not be done by printing money and distributing it among the people (QE1, QE2, Q3/Qinfinity)  Hostess is a good example of things to come.

In case some do not understand, I want to say one thing about spending cuts.  Here is a example of how spending cuts work...they sound good but...  We'll use $100 as a example;  Let's say the US spends $100 in the year 2012 (money which is borrowed and booked as debt)  Our government tells the people that we need spending cuts and the people agree knowing that national debt keeps rising.  So by divine intervention (hypothetically speaking of course) our government comes to a agreement to cut spending 10% in the year 2013 and beyond.  Sounds great, right?  So then our government makes the budget for year 2013.  The government says we need $125 to cover expenses for year 2013.  But we have to cut that amount by %10.  So that comes out to be $112.50.  That's more than for 2012, so spending was not cut by 10%... it was just smoke and mirrors.  Now, when our government is figuring the budget, don't you think they'll just add 10% to compensate for the 10% spending cuts?  Kind of like a car dealer adds to the price so he get's your trade-in for free...but tells you he's giving you 2k for your old car.

Americans are going to suffer.  The wealthy will suffer, the middle will suffer, but the poor will suffer the most.  All while the upper crust of our government knew what was comming and secured/diversified their finances around the world.  While the American people are suffering, they will be enjoying their ill-gotten spoils.

I am liking Iceland right now.

Iceland's economy got hammered awhile back.  Seems as if I remember getting some info that there might be some good investments there.  I know one of my sources was recommended Iceland bonds...not sure how that turned out.

If you have a substantial amount then you might want to look into setting up a Foundation in Panama.  You can do research on the subject.  Any money earned outside the USA is not taxable and since you are not the owner of the Foundation then profit cannot be taxed as individual income.  A Foundation can hold many different investments vehicles.  Panama is the new Switzerland, just much younger and less proven.

Bottom line; It's easy enough to invest in any county that you chose.  You are doing nothing wrong or illegal by investing in other countries.  As I've said before, why would you invest where you are going to make less money?  That's just dumb business.  Also, why would you invest in anything that you disagree with or don't believe in?  You shouldn't.

Switzerland is still pretty good, but they have caved to the US demands thus privacy is at question now...even though there are strong privacy laws in Switzerland.  The US gov. has a long arm.

Australian is doing well from what I've heard.

Canada, seems to be addressing it's debt problem.

If you are a gambler, try Mongolia or Burma.

Of course China is rich with dollars...but then the US monetary policy is making those dollars worthless.  China sold us junk and looks like we are ultimately going to be paying with junk.  My worry is that China is secretly buying gold and will call for the removal of the dollar as the worlds currency.  If they can show a percentage backing of the Renminbi with gold, then they would have a valid argument.  Lucky for us the US corporate world has infiltrated China.

Lastly, to protect your wealth...you could...set up a Foundation in Panama.  You can look up the dynamics of a Foundation.  What does it really matter if you don't own many of your asset personally as long as you can use them in the same manner?

Try this in regards to copy and paste.  Type a few lines in this box.  Then try to paste under what you just typed.  Then delete the few lines you typed if you don't want them.  Works for me.  If that doesn't work then maybe use a different browser...haven't tried that.
