People always talk about what the best first date would be, but what would be your idea for a great second date?

Second date is usually a dinner date for me. Dinner date, some drinks and maybe dancing later. Depending.

NOW ~~V~~....

WE'RE ONTO YA BABY!! (Those who speak of SEX the most are the ones who rarely get it!!)

Hmmmmmm... Where's that leave me? *** Runs out with tail between legs.. HA!

SECOND DATE..

Well, I can say what I have learned from the MEN on here.. (Adore you guys ya know!)

I have been on many "fine dining" FIRST dates.. and HERE'S WHAT I'VE LEARNED! (You men will be so proud of me! I'm a growing girl!!)

I don't like them anymore.. :( WHY? Well, at first they were so much fun!! I just LOVE getting all "prettified" and my date ordering $150 bottle of wine and OH THE FOOD! BUT... :( Sadly... I have learned that it appears BOTH parties are not as "chilled" as I desire.. He surely can't be that relaxed if he is wondering if I like him, the food, or if he orders another bottle will it impress me, or undress me! (HA~) .. And me... Now I am to the point where it's nice and I have met so many really awesome men.. BUT.. there is also an empty feeling when you do it over and again and don't feel that "SPARK!!" ... So it isn't that I don't "enjoy" myself.. I have great conversation, get to meet some awesome men and enjoy a good night with the "wine and dine" setting.. BUT.. I want that from now on for the SECOND DATE..

The FIRST date... I think I want to meet someone from a distance in the automotive department at WalMart.. maybe looking at steering wheel covers or maybe the sporting section looking at weights. Then we can strike up a conversation and should there be a possiblity of sparks, we can go sit and chat somewhere.. Should that go well, THEN, he can take me to a really nice dinner and impress me after he calls me after our meet and greet and asks me out B/C we've met and he likes me.. and I say yes, B/C I like him.... Because I'm not saying YES to anymore awesome dinners without already knowing if there are sparks! Not that it isn't enjoyable. I love people and chatting and well, honestly.. I LOVE GREAT CUISINE! BUT.. It's just disheartening time after time to have the table, the service, the wine... food, to be all pretty.. everything so incredibly perfect.. But you don't feel it because there wasn't a true chemical connection. Ho-Hum..

LOOK! Me "workin" my newest "Fine Dining Program" has been spotted! :)

Quoting Windrider735:

By the second date, don't you think you should know a little bit about each other, and it should be something you both would enjoy doing?  I think that whatever it is, there should still be time set aside to get to know each other better.     Welcome to the blogs, filmgirl.

Thanks for welcoming me. But this isn't my first blog I have just been off it for a while. :)

First dates should be a little low key and simple; second and subsequent dates should be a little more upscale, but should not preclude your ability to listen/speak with each other and enhance the whole getting to know each other better thing. Activities/places you mutually enjoy would be a good choice.

I'm kind of the opposite... I have minimal expectations for the first dates and I like to keep them simple and low key.

I like to build slowly and grow into great dates based on a mutual understanding and acceptance.  Dates that are the most fun and most romantic are the ones that resonate with both people... equally.
