So I have just finished my first week at my new school. My class are lovely. The school is supportive and welcoming. It's a really nice environment.  It's a bit of a relief as I had a pretty challenging class (understatement) last time. Although they were lovely kids.

So our first topic will be Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. So looking forward to transforming the classroom into a wonderland with the kids.

Sarah :-)

Wonderful, Sarah.  So glad you are happy with your current assignments.

Do keep us up to date about how well you--and your students--are doing.  I hope and pray the year goes wonderfully well for you.

Pat

Hi Sarah,Just popping in real quick.I'll sometimes teach kids a few knots from time to time. It's really great, their excitment. They don't work them the way I do but hey,I was their age once. It's better than watching TV,watching kids with something they just learned and trying to apply it to something.Awwww, the chuckles that I brought to my elders.

Good luck Sarah

There was a child in another teacher's class who is on the autistic spectrum and he said to the teacher "you look like a cow." The whole class gasped. The teacher asked"how do I look like a cow?" The child  replied "because you are black and white." She was wearing black and white clothing. He is a great child. Full of complements to me though. :-p

Thanks everyone. Overly busy already. So much paperwork- yearly plans, term plans, daily plans. Would rather spend more time creating fun and engaging lessons than on all this paperwork.

Very good luck this school year.    Taught music for a number of years and it is so wonderful to watch transformations and when the light goes on, in even one of them, it is a better year.    Keep on being happy with the children and they will be happy with you as their teacher.    Each year brought new challenges and solutions which also helps us grow along with them.    Never stop growing!

God bless you and yours,

John

Orlando, she is indeed very passionate about teaching and loves the kids to bits!

Sarah, I am glad your class is great! I didn't know you guys were already back to school so soon - you may have broken up before down South?

Have a lovely year ahead!

Liv.

Teaching is one of the greatest gifts you can give to others.  It is nice to see someone who is passioante about it also.  Keep up the good work.
