I actually got sucked into watching this program which surprised me as I could not stand the characters in the California version. I think the only two people I genuinely like are Jill and Bethany. However, there is so much falseness in the show with lots of back stabbing. Makes you wonder is that what they really perceive as friendship. The arguments are usually over the most pathetic issues. Makes we want to scream WHOOOO CARES?? There are so many more important issues in the world. I guess some people never mentally mature. Sarah :-o

Yeah you would think some of them would learn from their mistakes. I love some of the outfits they have. Think the fashion element makes the show attractive to me too. Have to say, LuAnn is starting to grate on me with her countess title- trying to come across as the the queen bee of manners. She was a model who married a count, that is all. She comes across as thinking she is the best example of etiquette yet she used her finger to wipe her nose in front of her date( the creepy author guy). I almost died!! Sarah :-p

It is interesting how some girls get jealous and back stab each other. I never had time for people like that When I used to work at sky I tended to have male friends as the girls were often a bit unfriendly. I was friends with some but it was mainly boys. Now I'm in the teaching field which is a predominately female environment. Again you do get the odd unfriendly back stabbing type. Not the best role model type for children. I just don't have time for people like that. If you are nice person we are friends, if not I'm civil but that's it. Sarah :-)

I was totally shocked after the slamming of each other that the series has continued. Now they are in their mini war camps and Bethany now has a man, countess has divorced, Jill has a new buddy and alex has a weird gay husband. lol I think its the hilarity that sucked me into this program. The issues and fall outs which they take so seriously are just soo funny. The thing that put me off the California version was that their daily lives seemed to revolve around the plastic surgeon. At least the NYC wives were more business focussed. Rather than just a dolly bird. Sarah :-)

Now thinking about it, from a very young age, my best friends were always boys! The girls gossiped too much, there was ample backstabbing and jealousy abound! I just didn't have time or affinity for such crap, so boys were my best friends and they always had my back! I ended up in a male-dominated career and my male colleagues always, always have my back! It's brilliant, but I am not saying that all women are like that - I have forged some great enduring friendships with some fabulous and wonderful female friends that are almost like sisters to me today! God bless.

Kin of makes me glad I don't have tv service. I just go to hulu for the few shows I do want to watch. As for "Real Housewives" of anything, you couldn't get me to watch one of these shows unless you duct taped me to my chair and stuck a gun to my head. Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid waste of air time. Go watch a good movie. Or read a book. Or have a swell conversation with someone you never thought COULD have a good conversation with anyone. Or, just clean house. That would be far more worthwhile than watching one of the "Real Housewives" shows.

My sister watches that crap, drives me nuts. Much of it is for show. Aim a camera at someone every second of the day and see if they act like their natural self. Gee, I know I wouldn't. Drama brings in viewers...producers love to stir it up. I've only seen small snippets of the show, but I remember asking my sister if Bethany's husband was gay, that's before I realized it was her husband. We just act a little more masculine from where I from. :-)
