You don’t get bruised and broken sitting at the window and watching life pass you by. You may get some enjoyment from it, but it is those on the other side of the glass that get to experience the full spectrum of emotion, the exhilaration of the activity or relationship. Emotional scars and physical scars are some of the milestones marking our passage through life. They are part of the risk of being involved and taking part. Do you ever remind yourself of the saying ‘no pain, no gain’ when you are exercising? Life sometimes causes us pain. The greater our involvement, the more potential there is for pleasure – and pain. If the pain controls you, it can be overwhelming and drag you down, becoming that baggage so many people refer to in their profiles. If you take control of the pain, you can use it, overcome it, and experience personal growth. We grow, we move on, ....we try again.

So how did Humpty Dumpty get up on top of that wall? The best answer I could find was this old newsclip. His story is 7 minutes and 26 seconds into the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHrWazyW1Zk

Looks like we enjoy similar programming. LOL...

Humpty Dumpty might disagree with that statement...

Nice post. I would like to add that, hopefully, we grow and learn from the pain so as not to repeat it later.

Good point, Michelle. That would definitely be my preference.
