DEKE. I agree completely although the Senatorial election is much more important to me because it affects the balance of power in Wash. DC. The CA. race for Governor does not have nearly as much significnce as it is basically a CA. issue; and I don't live there.

Fiorina is neck and neck with Boxer and may well win. Brown has increased his lead over Whitman. Why the good people of CA. would want to return him to power is beyond me. Just look at the  salary fiasco in Bell, CA. Brown was AG. while that was happening. Pelosi will get re-elected but with a little luck we won't have to see her ever again.

A few more years with the same old political hacks running the state and CA. will go belly up. By then even Shaz will be crying "Uncle..."

Boxer and Pelosi both look pretty good for 70. Do you suppose they have had some work done by a TAX-I-DERMIST??? LMAO...

Shaz. I just returned from a long weekend in San Diego. Trust me when I tell you that the people I was with didn't share any of your views. Many of them were Hispanic AMERICANS living permently and legally in this country and all owned a business or had a very lucrative and desirable job. Shaz. If you would like some complaints from an out of stater. I can tell you the hotel taxes and the rental car taxes are approaching robbery. They increase the cost of the room and the car by about 30-35%. What a deal!!! lol...

I'm going to try and post a website in here. I was left with my mouth open after hearing this. I can't recall the gentleman's name right now, but he's from CNN and it is astounding what he said!

""And I have to say Carly Fiornia makes me want to scream bloody murder. A woman as ruthless as she does belong in Big Business but we cant afford to have her mind set in power over the masses.
( i admire her business savvy but that does not make her a good choice for a Public Servant.)""

Shaz. All a Senator does is vote the party line. They don't administer or run anything. If you want to get illegals to stop coming and taking jobs from you; Barbara Boxer is not your woman. She will give away the rest of what you call your fine state. Nancy Pelosi will help her. She says food stamps and unemployment payments are the best bang for the buck. The way to prosperity. No wonder CA. is upside down in debt. AZ.'s illegals are moving to CA. every day and a lot of them want your job. Good luck with them. Please take good care of them...

Well Bill. I LIVE i Calif. I happen to think highly of both the women you mentioned. And further, having been the recipient of those very programs in dire times, I can attest that they are needed. Not forever, not an excuse to not look for work. BUt there are few jobs available and if you are over 50, good f***ing luck getting in the door. Hungry people do desperate things...like rob stores, riot and loot. They become ill and then end in up in the ER. Keeping people fed is at worst a good way to prevent crime. I fully believe that the food stamp program has done far more good than any other measure. When all you can think about is where your next meal is coming from or how to feed your hungry children,,nothing else matters at all. What has happened to the compassion in this Nation ? Youde gladly pay to lock up a person, but dont want to help keep them from becoming desperate enough to become a criminal in the first place ? That makes no sense to me at all. Perhaps if all people understood what is like to BE hungry or suffer in this land of Plenty...we all would be better off. So yes,,Bill, ALL things considered..I do agree that food stamps and extended unemployment MAKES GOOD economic sense right now. Have you forgot the cascade of business failure that happens when the population can not afford housing or food ? We paid into the system and I have no qualms about utilizing the benefits when I need them. This is not a one element equation. All is interconnected and it DOES pay to keep as many people in their homes and fed as possible. Its more the big picture than any one thing. ................................ Lots of illegals have already left the state. There are no jobs here and they are facing heavy discrimination. Employers are being taken to task and laws about hiring only those here legally are being enforced. AS THEY SHOULD BE. ............................ while I personally am still in a bad way, I do live in an affluent neighborhood. Yesterday as I was out for a walk,,I saw something that I have not seen in ages.....a team of tidy, white people doing lawn service work ! A male female team (like your neighbors. Bernie)Its been said that Americans wont do that sort of work. NONSENSE ! We just wont do it for $ 8.00 an hour !

Let's see how many Dems really vote this time. Geo. Soros isn't coming up with money for Democratic candidates. He says he doesn't believe in standing in front of an avalanche. The failed President is now admitting that there is really no such thing as a shovel ready project; Something he has been  pushing since he came into office. He also says he shouldn't have come across as a tax and spend liberal. What else does he know how to do??? His administrative people are deserting like rats from a sinking ship. The powers in Congress will change, They will no longer be up for Tax and Spend, Giveaways, Bailouts, Cap and Trade and Obamacare. Congress won't fund it. Two years later Obama will be gone and so will Obamacare. States like N.Y. and CA. will be BK if they don't smarten up. They almost are already. The cream of their citizenry and business is already leaving because of high taxes, high unemployment, high deficits, greedy unions and diminishing public services. I don't think the rest of the country is in a mind set to bail them out...

Hey Shaz I agree it should be most interesting!Arnold acts like A Dem so I guess people would like him seeing it's such a liberal state. Thank goodness like us in PA your governor has to go! Rendell has ruined this state...hell he's 3 weeks away from election and is still looking to raise taxes on everything he can! What a butt head!I hope your business is picking up? Always nice to hear from you!

i think there will be many many surprises. We democrats DO vote too and as I see it,,the Tea Party is full of lunatics. And NOT in a good way. PLENTY OF US want the same thing....no illegal immigrants for one. Im sick to death of loosing out bid after bid after bid to untrained uneducated workers in construction. I want those people the hell out of my country. In times of plenty ,,we can afford to be generous. That is NOT the way it is now. California is in a woeful state of being. Arnold HAS been a surprisingly effective Goven-a-tor in many respects. I HATE BOTH the choices for Governor of this fine state. And I have to say Carly Fiornia makes me want to scream bloody murder. A woman as ruthless as she does belong in Big Business but we cant afford to have her mind set in power over the masses. ( i admire her business savvy but that does not make her a good choice for a Public Servant.) For the record,,I AM NOT against LEGAL Immigration to this fine country. Two of my dear friends are now resident aliens after some 12 years of bureaucratic BS. Both are from Australia and both are fine wonderful additions to the fabric of this Nation. One of them I met on THIS dating site. SHOULD be a VERY interesting election.

Hello All,

It is 'AB' Day!    (Absentee Ballot Day)    Since I will be away, it is in the mail.    Felt good to vote my preferences.    Now, if for some reason, if my folks do NOT get elected I can post my displeasure with them.   I will do that even with those I selected to be in office.   I do NOT discriminate in that way.   Have hated some of the boneheaded answers though--from either side.   It is amazing how some forget their speeches and points of view once elected.

Just wishing that a larger percentage of 'eligable'  (Sp?) voters actually voted.

God bless,

John

PS    Loved hearing that the drilling ban has been lifted.   However--seems to be this administration has a lot of howevers--everyone has to WAIT for the NEW regulations to be written and promugated before they can ACTUALLY do any DRILLING!    WOW!!!!!   What a concept, lift the ban prior to the election, BUT not REALLY!!!!!   At best, only a year or two away!    YEAH!!!!!    J
