I got hit again today.  She was 38, blonde, with a child in her photo.  Profile said Georgia.  She started a chat with me and suggested we move to yahoo.  I had a feeling she was a scammer but her English was impeccable..  sooo maybe she was the real deal.  Usually their English is so bad you know right off.  I add her to my yahoo and the first thing that happens when the conversation box comes up is i recieve the "BUZZ".  That annoying sound to get your attention.  I have NEVER had a legitimate woman ever "BUZZ" me as the first method of communication!  ONLY SCAMMERS "BUZZ" AND THEY DO IT 90% of the TIME.  I pressed her about where she was by saying i would be in Georgia this weekend.  She said she was visiting her Mother in West Africa but would be back in 2 weeks.  They need new stories..  Also theyre using a story about being a "construction analyst" for building roads dams etc in West Africa.  They will need money because Construction company went bankrupt or Mom is dying and needs an operation.  So..  if they "BUZZ"..  delete.  And send a note to MM support.

Thanks, smax117, for your good message. They often speak English well, because a lot of them are coming of Ghana. Only Nigerians got a problem with the English language. BUZZ, yes, I had that also in my chat with my scammer but didn't know what it means. Thank you again for advice.

I've been on several dating sites and all the men that ! (I'm not sure why). You can't avoid scammers, they're like roaches, they show up everywhere. I've had the same experience with a couple of guys on this site; that's why I choose not to display my (photo) to someone that may not exist. I hate to be a cynic, but maybe internet dating is a complete scam. You don't know who's real, and who's trying to scam you!

Quoting Lisaprendergast

Not scary... sad. Again, I remind all you MM club members, just ask them to friend you. If they won't, nuke em, turn them in and thank god you have saved your heart, wallet and some other unsecsspecting soul.

Anyone who will not friend you has a history or no history he or she does not want you to know about.

You can't make up a friends list.

Best

Lisa

:Lisa,,

ive been on MM for 5 years now. I think I know a few things about the medium.

What do  you mean by " friend them" ?

I assure you, cons and scammers can and DO fake everything imaginable to trick people. And they are VERY good at it.

One of the few things they can not fake is a webcam session. That is foolproof  in determining IF their profile matches their physical appearance. its not adequate to determine where they are

or who they are.

Naive trusting people are easy targets. You might want to be extra careful before you go out and meet anyone from online.

of the 8 men that have winked at me or emailed inthe last two weeks 7 of them were supposed widowers,

who knew that SO many women were dropping dead on their husbands !

AT least here we know that we are targets. i feel sorry for those people who have NO idea and are maybe new to online dating.

ITS scary out it in wildwest-cyberland.
