QUOTING GEORGE:

"Pat

I was thinking maybe Erin Andrews??"

Wheeeeeoooooo, George!!!!  Having a body like that might be more than my brain could handle----but I'm willing to try.  [LOL]  Does that mean I'll have to learn something about Sports on ESPN?  That's gonna be tuff.  But, with Erin's body, I'm sure I'll be able to find some great teachers.....

Just make sure you put masking tape over the peep hole in hotel rooms or you two will be featured on the Internet.  :)

Hello, CG.  Since you were trying very hard to keep me from looking butt ugly, you're entirely forgiven. [LOL]

So, let's see...  Well, when I grow up I want to be Megyn Kelly [FOX News].  Since I probably never will grow up in this lifetime, I'll be happy as Katherine Hepburn.  But I'd like to trade in the very married Spencer Tracy for the widowed Clark Gable.  If he's not available, I'll settle for Cary Grant.

AZ, You do know it was GHW Bush, the one with some character, don'r you? I would never have GW Bush'd him. :):) And Pat, I apologize. I was running low on female historical figures who weren't butt-ugly. :):) How about Maria Shriver? Is she Republican enough for you? ;):)

Hi, CG--& Everyone.

I still don't have my own computer back yet; have only a few minutes to check things out here at work....had to respond to this one:

CG, what a lot of thought you've put into this entertaining list.  However, I must protest the following:  Curious.....I think our Hillary Clinton. I'd have hated to have been HER Bill when he got caught.....:):):)

You're right about the second part, CG--but blood is oozing out of my pores, my stomach is getting queasy, and my temperature has shot up to 102 at the very thought of being linked to/associated with Hillary Clinton.  But, I suppose I should be grateful you didn't link me with Nancy Pelosi.  That would definitely have me being rushed to the hospital with terminal nausea. [LMAO].

Sorry, Gently, but it's my list, and my image of you as Rose has you leaning over the bowsprit.:):):) I'll note I did already have BillZeke & Theo, because they had already posted to this blog. So, I have re-capped, and added a couple. But I'd really like others to render their opinion, to either correct my whimsical assignments, or (please) add new ones, from your own impressions. And those I've "hit": what say you? Did I come close? Who would be your OWN choice for a historical figure? We all know I'm a Hemingway (look like Ernest, write like Mariel):) but who do you see yourself as? Tinkerbelle.... is our Mae West....she provokes, but it's that sexy cocktail dress that gives her the platform from which to grab our .......(ahem) "attention." Irocas.Boorah.... is our Socrates. He would rather drink hemlock than suffer fools. Visionary Lover..... is our Don Quixote (yeah, I know; he's a fictional character himself. Kind of appropriate, don't you think?) tilting at windmills Britt..... is our Eleanor Roosevelt (except MUCH more beautiful)...The woman who was flattered to learn of a new variety of rose being named after her, until she read its description, "Not good in a bed, but fine up against a wall." :) Newman....has nearly redeemed the name from its ignominy in Seinfeld lore... Perhaps our George Washington, the Father of our Country? (sorry George, after your year-ago experience with a younger lady...I just couldn't resist.):):):) Shaz.... I'm havng trouble getting past Bette Midler into a historical genre....It's that red hair thing.:) Gently.... Perhaps our "Rose" from Titanic fame (yeah, I know another fictional character, but can't you just see her leaning over the bowsprit? NiceGuy....I'm thinking GHW Bush.... Rose....Our Oprah, perhaps? The one who keeps poking us and won't let us leave it unanswered? Candee....I'm sorry, I just can't get historical with that spaghetti strap image, without thinking of something other than 'secretery of state' type characterizations.... maybe Cleopatra? (I've always wondered how she maintained power in a man's world back then???) Curious.....I think our Hillary Clinton. I'd have hated to have been HER Bill when he got caught.....:):):) Arizona....Our Sarah Palin?.....but with a brain.:) Theo.....Our Anne Boleyn (sp?) Struggling to keep her pretty head, when all about her are losing theirs? BillZeke.......Sorry, Bill, the new pic just keeps Alfred E. Newman popping into my mind. How about Hannibal? I think I can see Bill riding an elephant over the Alps !!!! Lisa......Our Margaret Thatcher......I don't think she's going to take any crap from anybody.....but still say it politely.:) WWWWWW......Dubs...I'm thinking Thomas Paine, the father of American plain speech. Bri......Our Gatsby.....Ahh, the rich, they are different than you and I....(badly paraphrased, my apologies to F.Scott.) Moldy...... (like me, gone into common membership) :).... Our George Plimpton, willing to try anything.. Ecla.....No, I couldn't forget her... Our Medusa, with those flowing locks (but angel's demeanor).. ((And forgive me for re-posting part of my own post...can you say 'hubris?')):)

BETTE MIDLER ???

IF only !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love her music and huetspa ( sp?)

I am all over that Hubris thing...just a little brag-a-do-ce-O  on my part. lol

I still talk to Healey every now and then.  Same Healey different day.  I think from rare time to rare time he still chats with Trey who in turn was still talking to lovelylotus, but that has prob been at least 6 months ago.

I did not realize Kathi actually passed away.  I know the rumor mill said she was.  I am sorry to hear that.  I met Kathi and despite her perception here on MM she was a happy, semi wild (OK wild) and nice person.

CG. I think I should be the THINKER. I have been busy thinking only about what HUBRIS might mean since you introduced the word. Sounds to me like it should mean some kind of genital growth. Just give me some time, I will come up with the correct answer. lol...

Hey GW.....I've been up to my a## in aligators lately....lol. Finally catching up and having a little more time to participate in MM blogs and this one was a good 'en.

Btw....love your new profile pic.

Lisa, as Scribe, please take special note of Boo and Tink as they are giving us our own special "begat"s.  I see this going into the book of MeMesis.

Please also include a passage about my extreme optimism for future AZurites, and don't forget sister Mary Shaz, she who covets purty toes.

Fashionable to blog?  I think contrary.  In the future, I don't see folks making a mad dash to type some free-thinking out on their keyboards.  Internet will be free, an embedded chip that sends thoughts in real-time to the large collective (or at least the govenrment), always spelling correctly, always censoring out forbidden words and politically incorrect thoughts, like a bark collar.  Hey, maybe they wont even be taught there WAS such a thing as slavery, and they'll learn about it by picking up a copy of Brer Rabbit because WE show them the way to enlightenment!

WE will be the wisdom of the ancients.

You need to have your optimist button adjusted.....LOL!
