Hello, everyone.

I had a flirt on another site....and then 7 more flirts from the same man within an hour.  "You're cool,"...."You're the one..."  "I'd go to the ends of the earth to meet you..."  Everything short of "let's get married yesterday; you're so divine."

Checked out the man's profile:  What's there?  NOTHING.  Nada.  Not one ounce of info about who he is.  This particular site allows you to fill out basic questions with:  "Email me; let's talk," and nothing more.  Got a photo--no smile in the photo!!!! Just a sour puss.  [what's with that?  Who would want to respond to a sour puss?  Who would think that a sour puss photo would get a happy response????  These men are nuts!!!!]

Feeling annoyed, and feisty, ...I did respond.  Asking for some basic info.  Such as, why don't you give me something comparable to what I gave you in my profile?  The respose?  Another wink!!!!!!

Hell.....  Go scratch.  I'm starting to get awfully cynical on these sites.  The only saving grace, folks--these blogs here on MM!!! At least here we can all air our honest feelings and know that someone, somewhere, usually cares enough to say something honest back--and usually does so with a lot of humor!!!!!

Love all you guys who keep showing up in blogs.  Some days, the funnies on here are all that keeps me going.'

It's definitely ME, Newman.  Re-reading it now, I can't make much sense of it.  When I'm over-tired, but I still feel like staying connected, I babble;  even if just at the keyboard.

Hope it gave you a chuckle or two.

Keep the funnies coming...

Quoting thenewman:

Curious:  I'm back to normal [huh???] now.

Yes whatever normal happens to be right? :)

Oh, Baby----nobody on MM knows better than you that there is no such thing as "normal."  We use the word to mean....what the hell DO we use it to mean?????????????

What's comfortable?  What's what we usually feel when we can easily smile?

When we can say we feel happy?  That's Normal?"

In my case, tonight....when I can feel....easy....reasonably happy about life and me....no matter what obstacles are in my path....  That's "normal."

Sleep tight, Newman....  May the sun shine on your tomorrow.....

Pat

QUOTING NGL:  "Pat, I always have faith !  :)  My blog,, I think it got lost like so many other things around here. I think sometimes things drop into a black hole, never to be seen again. So you thought it was thought provoking,, thanks !

Thank God you've seen that Black Hole too!!!  I was beginning to think I was going schizo.  I've seen any number of comments/posts lately just up and disappear.  Been wondering if I was drinking without knowing I was drinking; could I possibly be insane enough to hide my own behavior from myself utterly...or have blogs--and posts to blogs--just been randomly disappearing like the hairs on the head of man very quickly going bald.....???

We may, or may not, get all of these lost words back, NGL.  If not....we'll just move on and write new words....  Technological glitches cannot slow down the human spirit and its will to stay in touch with other human spirits...

{oy....I hope you, and everyone else took that with your Humor Vests on, and a huge grain of salt---best bet--with a huge grain of Kosher salt}....

Once again I'm very tired, feeling very silly, just wanting to stay in touch...

Have a swell evening, everyone...

Quoting Curious2078:

Oh, yeah.  I'm beginning to think that the only way to find a good love match is to just get out there somewhere in the real world--WalMart ofrMacy;s....or some fine restaurant in Manhattan--or wherever.........

Oh---it would be a great way to get to know someone---if that someone you were interested in were interested in blogging!!!!  The few interests I've had here on MM that weren't scammers from the start just shut down as soon as I started asking "interesting" questions.  90 percent of all response I've had have been from folks who just want to make friends on the blogs. ....  That's cool.   Better than nothing....  And often far better than notning.  My friends on here I treasure as much as I treasure my friends standing 2 feet away from me in real life.....  And yet.....

We're all having a fine time here talking to each other...but what the heck is it doing for any of us to find love!!!!!  Since so many of us have been here for so long.....  Doesn't seem like much.  I don't know.  Maybe I'm just in a down mood tonight.

Keep the faith, kiddo.   Keep it for me.  And tomorrow, I'll keep it for you.

Oh, and by the way:  What happened to your blog on  Why are we all still single!!!!!  The damn thing disappeared.  I read it before it got lost; I thought it was very interesting and was going to respond---and then it was gone!!!!!  I hope you will repost it--or post something similar.  Very thought provoking.

Dman,, I know it just a matter of time and staying positive !

NEWMAN:  "To me Internet dating is just one more social network to increase the probability of meeting the keeper."

Sounds like the best way to look at it to me...  And I haven't gone permanently sour on MM and other sites.  I was just temporarily vexed.  I'm back to normal [huh???] now.

Thank you, Queen.  I will do my best to keep all your points in mind.

May all your dreams of love and romance come true soon."

I've been following your posts here on the blogs since I joined up with MM--  you clearly are a gem...and, now, ---I am SO tired I can't think straight.  Was up at 5 for a chore....still up when I should be sound asleep....I will continue all of this tomorrow....

Thanks so much for your commentary.

Be patient with the process. Many of us have been doing this longer than we ever imagined...

After a bit, we simply think, NEXT.  And move on to the next prospect.  It is a numbers game.  You will meet many frogs and pervs along the way. And then one day, when you least expect it. Someone special will contact you. Someone you will want to spend more time talking to. Someone who can communicate.

Someone you will be excited to meet...

Someone you  would never have met if it had not been for this experience in the land of online dating.

I find that most of the profiles do not tell who a person is. Which makes all of this so much harder. We never know who we are connecting with. The good thing about blogging is that we learn from those who have been there before...

May all your dreams of love and romance come true soon.

Hang in there and don't let one bad apple spoil your appetite.

There are plenty of men who are go communicators.

I assure you there's someone for you and many friends as well.

Thank you Brian.

I have to admit it is difficult, but think that a connection from here can lead to a relationship with substance, security and loving..maybe naive.....we do communicate well here and put out our feelings when and where the situation arrises. There are some that are ready for a relationship, and others are just here to play....each to his/her own.....truthfully... I think some are just plain scared to death of the concept of losing something they preceive as their loss of freedom, It doesnt have to be so. We own nothing

Quoting niceguylooking:

Pat, This is quite a nice place to hang out. I really enjoy reading most of the blogs. Its actually a nice way to get to know someone, (in a round about way, LOL ) you can read their opinions and get a fairly good feel for how they think.  LOL

But, I'm kind of with you, if your seriously looking for a relationship,, not so sure this is a good place !  LOL

Hello, Sweet NGL:

I thinks MM is a really GREAT place to hang out--but that's it.  On the other hand, I don't think there's any place to hang out in cyberspace that is as swell as MM..

Looking for love?  I think we all need to get out there in the real world.   More scammers here for me tonight....  Getting VERY good at getting rid of them.  Just wish I could meet, in the real world, as many fine people--for me, men--as I've met here on MM.  I've even met a couple--two--here on MM.  But when I emailed them back--they disappeared.  Not scammers.  Just scardy-cats.  Don't want to "talk."  Don't want to communicate.  One even wanted to hide utterly his physical appearance until we met.  No more responses from me to interesting profiles without a photo, period.

On the up side--once again.  Look at all the swell folks we're all meeting and talking to in the blogs.  I'm still amazed that on any given night I'm communicating with people from all over this great land of ours--and a few in Europe as well....  Where else...when else.... How else... could such  a thing have happened if not for MM?

Got to give credit where credit is due.  We're all here paying our money....and we might as well make the most of it.  Whether that "most" is what we signed on for or not!

Sweet dreams......

Pat
