Honestly, sometimes I am sorry I voted for Obama. Don't stone me Obama fans, but some issues are deeper than his promises. I don't want to get too deep on here but I believe in a "shadow government" which runs the country and soon will run the New World Order, and according to my research, Obama supports. I've also "learned" through research that Obama is their biggest puppet. And if you are a real conspiracy theorist, you believe that the NWO and its leaders (I know I'm a bit crazy but indulge me)  follow a luciferian doctrine. "They": others say that these secret societies, of which Obama is a part, perform rituals which are satanic. If this is the case, YES indeed, I'm sorry I voted for him, I don't care what his skin color is...and yes, its the same color as mine. *Sigh!* I digress...

It's been a year. How is Obama doing???? He promised health care.... It's died along with Cap & Trade. He promised jobs but they have yet to appear. He promised to close Guantanamo. It's still open. He promised transparent government but everything is deal making as usual; still behind closed doors. He campaigned for several canditates and the Chicago Olympics. Nothing came to fruition. Did he keep any promises???? Yes he did. He promised his daughters a dog. They got one....

Yes he could do a lot better in his first year. He made roughly 502 campaign promises, about 90 of which were accomplished. Some of the bigger ones really need to be addressed so I'm hopeful and expect much better in 2010. Quoting Dekan09

Or would you even admit it? Stephen A. Smith on ESPN did an interview with Mark Levin and he's sorry he voted for him. And he's a black man. It would worthwhile to listen to the interview.

Many are sorry they voted him because they are expecting to see herculean changes that are unrealistic to happen as fast as people would like. He's got one more year to make a difference as far as I'm concerned. Could he do better YES. By his own admission he needs to work differently and focus better on stimulating the economy and getting people back to work...What president ever accomplishes all that they set out to do in their first year. If both parties would stop the pettiness, foster healty debate and actually put the PEOPLE first before politics we might actually see some progress.

Was a little taken aback by your statement "and he's a black man."  You state that as if another black person's comment about a black president is validating. We do critize our own sometimes and can admit when someone needs to step up.

You don't like the Daley's; Lyricalsoul????? I lived in chicago for 20 plus years. Had a lot of fun and made a lot of money. I have never seen anyone that could run a city better than those two. They may not know how to read or write but they sure know how to run a city. I was there a couple of summers ago. I have never seen Chicago look more beautiful.....

I remember you responding to my blog before. Since I don't have the money it takes to run for office that part is out. But I do have a voice and I have been making that heard by going to DC and to town halls with my representatives and to those dreaded tea parties.

It's funny that you mention you can't blame one man for the ills of what is going on. They did that to Bush and are continuing to blame him for everything. Case in point..the election in Massachusetts.

When is it going to be the Obama administrations responsibility for things going wrong? They are not grown up enough to do that. They have no clue how to run this country. All the things they say they want done is a laundry list of "their" wants and not what is best for the American people and this country. They have been waiting forever to be in this position. And by God as long as they are in control they will try to ram through whatever they can.

I've responded on this blog before--but I live in Chicago too. I have noticed a lot of the "underlying tones" of this blog--but then this is the good ol US so I'm not really surprised. But I stand by this-- you can't blame one man for all the ills of Chicago OR this country and I never looked at Obama as a cure-all or answer to all the ills of this country. I do not think all that is wrong with this country at this point can be straightened out even in two more terms. And as far as all the things you mentioned going on here in Chicago, Obama, Jody Weiss,or no one politician alone can straighten out all these problems in Chicago, especially the pervasive ones that are destroying minority neighborhoods. Since I live in a neighborhood that is middle class but not serviced as adequately as others in the same city,(only because it is a minority neighborhood), I know that there are a plethora of reasons as to why many of these social problems exist. This problem is also one of the topics of a documentary I worked on in school and the primary reason I chose it is because people need to STOP trying to lump into one bundle why many of these problems exist in a lot of these neighborhoods. And if you are going to blame Obama then you might as well make Daley accountable and his father also for generations and generations of Chicago politics that helped bring many of these social problems about. There IS no one person responsible for all the problems going on in these neighborhoods and there is NO ONE ANSWER to solving them either. If people addressed this as such and started from the beginning of how many of these ills came about then maybe there would be a beginning of "real" change. If you do have ONE answer though you need to probably run for office yourself and show the other guys what they should be doing to make things right.

People hated Bush more than they liked Obama. He lied to get elected. Who would vote for a socialist?

I'm actually a die hard (R) but I voted for Obama... better than the alternative under those circumstances... I was TERRIBLY worried about the newly proposed health care bill until the MA seat! Now, it's up to US to make a decent proposal regardless of who in the House thinks it's great!

In the words of Obama's idiot press secretary Robert Gibb; UMM, UMM, ERR. I think he was trying to say; What we got here is a 1 term President. I liked what MA. Senator Elect Scott Brown (R) had to say when he said something like. "American taxpayers want their money to go to fighting terrorists not hiring lawyers for them."

I agree! He had to run as a moderate to get elected and we know what a big fat liar he is/was about that! It is amazing how the Dems and the president are making lame excuses. They are delusional! They are blaming everyone and everything except themselves for the rotten job they've done.

Happy 1 year anniversary Mr. President! I didn't think it was possible to turn things around so completely as he and Congress have in a year! Dems and Reps.

If we can win a seat in Mass we can win anywhere. Look out we're comin for ya!

I think Barney Frank needs to be added Irocus. I also believe that Rahm Emanuel, Obama's Chief of Staff, was on the board of directors of FNM back in those days when CEO Tim Raines was busy cooking the books so that everyone could get their huge bonuses..

I read somewhere that people were asking for Rahm's resignation. Wouldn't that be sweet. I wonder what the president would do? He doesn't know how to run anything he's just the mouth piece. He's not very bright I don't think....another humble opinion. *L*

I know about Clinton thinking everyone should be a home owner whether you could pay for it or not. And you are so correct about the Bush Obama thing. Obama gave us fair warning of what he was going to do. People hated Bush so much they would have elected anyone!

You know you are 100% correct. I'm just wondering when the statute of limitation is going to be for Bush? When will the American people who voted Obama into office and the president himself become responsible and lay blame where its due?

Obama and the clowns with which he has surrounded himself are the biggest bunch of cry babies ever to hit Washington. They will be blaming Bush for their own incompetance fifty years from now.

Merry Christmas! We were not trillions of dollars in debt like we are now under Obama. Yes Bush got the ball rolling for sure with TARP 1. You cannot spend your self out of debt. Government cannot keep taking over parts of our life that should be run by the individual or the family. Do not dictate to me what I can and cannot do. Our Constitution is being trashed by those inside the beltway!
