It's sad that the level of discourse about politics is such that someone had to through maybe thousands of pictures of Bush just to find a pic to refute the silly claims about lack of patriotism.

Roc,

Ahem......not only was I paying attention in Biology class....I took NOTES during Government and Political Science!  My statement stands.  They don't want to govern!  They run and hide, but then say.... oh look, look...that mean and terrible Obama is trying to run the country without us!  It would be laughable except for the offensive voter suppression activities being employed in order to keep from being voted out.

The treachery this president has faced is beyond the pale.  And the next time you hear someone (Fox News) wailing that President Bush would never disrespect the troops by saluting with a cup of coffee in his hand......No Never!  Because his hands were full of dog!

The yellow curtain behind President Obama is not a Muslim prayer curtain.  It's been there since the 1960s.  There are numerous pictures of it from different administrations.  There's actually no such thing as a Muslim prayer curtain.   I found the truth in a fraction of a second by Googling "Muslim prayer curtain in White House."

The Snopes article also shows other presidents having press conferences without flags.

I don't regret voting for Obama when I consider the alternatives that were available.  It's foolish to compare our leaders to a non-existent ideal statesman who agrees with us on every point.

Our Founding Fathers were great men but they were human too. They tried plenty of things that didn't work, such as the Articles of Confederation.

Congress cares more about their job and keeping that than the welfare of our country!

DEKAN,

When members of CONGRESS are collecting good pay and able to vacation on our dime, they are incapable of seeing the troubles through our eyes.

Know where you see the most passionate advocates? IN PTA'S, AND NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS LIKE ELKS AND EAGLES WHERE PEOPLE DON'T GET PAID, BUT WORK FOR FREE FOR THE SATISFACTION THEY HAVE HELPED OTHERS!!!

As far as regret?

REN - Go to the streets of Chicago where they protested Obama for taking care of ILLEGALS, and not our own indigent children!

WAKE UP PEOPLE!!

RenaissanceBM I bet if you took a poll of those who voted for the president now they'd be sorry! Those who've lost jobs, insurance, homes, 401's. He's weakend our country by cutting our military. What is the point of that? He's having "pink slips" given to our officers in theater but yet he signed an executive order to enlist illegals? What the hell is up with that? Supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood are in his cabinet. He won't call radical Islam a terrorist group. No not all Muslims are bad and most people know that. Look at what has taken place in OK this week. Workplace violence? Fort Hood workplace violence? A woman came home from work to find her husband with his head cut off and they are calling it a suicide? How in the hell can he cut his own head off then tie his hands together? This president is a coward! Nothing is ever his fault. He finds stuff out like we do....ON THE NEWS! He runs the freaking country! He's got to come up with something better than that! He doesn't care! That's the simple explanation.

3345roc apparently you have nothing substantive to say. Every President operates initially within the financial commitments and the economy of their predecessor. By citing the CBO's estimated federal debt over the next few years without giving any indication of the debt or financial obligations provided by the previous Administration, you attempt to place the blame solely on the current President. Let's see how all this debt accumulated:

Red text: Trend is worsening. Green text: Trend is improving

This chart shows exactly how debt grew under each President from December 1976 through December 2012. What actually needs to be adjusted is to convert the chart from calandar years to fiscal years, since for example, President Bush's last budget began October 1st, 2008 and ended September 30th, 2009. Making this adjustment, President Bush inherited $5.9T in debt from President Clinton and President Obama inherited $12.3T in debt from President Bush. Returning to the chart, even calendar year statistics are damning for the fiscal performance of Republican Presidents. Presidents Carter, Clinton and Obama grew federal debt 36.6%, 22.5% and 48.4% respectively. Presidents Reagan, HW Bush, and W Bush grew federal debt 168.2%, 49.2%, and 75.2% respectively. So if you want to throw stones at our current President for his fiscal management of our government, you had better first look to your own Party's fiscal performance. Most of the current federal debt was generated by federal budgetary policies signed into law by Republican Presidents (Presidents Reagan, HW Bush, W Bush = $9.7T; Presidents Carter, Clinton and Obama = $5.8T; note: remaining debt was accumulated from all previous Presidents).

Seems you, once again, totally missed the point, BM.  I presented enough information to refute Leonicvirgo's claim that a budget surplus will be returned to the Treasury at the end of Fiscal 2016.   How detached from reality or how many hallucinogens over what period of time would you have to consume in order to claim that you did the research and came to that conclusion?  Is that your conclusion too, based upon your research?

Anyone with half a brain and a moderate amount of manual dexterity can cut and paste charts and graphs.  The stuff you posted was extraneous and immaterial.  Establishing a cause and fixing the blame was not the issue.  That said, the only time one party can be credited or blamed for anything is when the White House and the majority in both chambers of Congress are from the same party.  With all other scenarios both parties are responsible.

I don't know whether your thinking is flawed because of your party bias or by your lack of knowledge of budgets, appropriations and resolutions. Fortunately I do not share either of those qualities or I might succumb to the same faulty logic.  I find it incredulous that Congress had to pass a No Budget No Pay Bill in order for the Senate to pass Budget Resolution for 2014... the first budget since 2010.

Washington is broken and, as a former miliary officer, I know where I place the blame.  You're entitled to your own opinion.

Quoting leonicvirgo:

There was also, a resetting of recipients with Medicaid, in 2014.   SSA establishes a start base, then, revises it 6 months later. This creates, Wave Cash. Social Security has available cash limits, showing in accounts, after a 9 month period. Many Medicaid patients were kicked to the Market's, if their bank accounts were over $2,000(single), $3,000(couple). There is a 3 month re-start, or lengthy appeals process to these actions. That is a systemic problem. SSA should work in realtime+1/2 month, for AJ Judgements, One problem with SSA, is the slothfulness of it's payment policy; always 6 months behind. This creates a wave of money issues, to Seniors, and the Disabled. I know quite well, the finality of SSA, from my sis. That's quite an interesting set of events, earlier in the year, which I was not able to slow down, or stop.  RBM has given data, on reducing the speed of spending money, for the Gov't to function, in the Obama Presidency...OBAMA IS A LEO...THAT'S HOW WE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!

Most people are happy, when our Nation is doing better than 2009. One good economic indicator, is the New Businesses that spawned in 2012. The suction of marginal Brand Popularity, swept away the old, and installed this New 25's-...AAh...55's mentality of reality. TO ALL----

I think most are missing the most serious issue of all here, and it ISN'T MONEY, PAST PRESIDENTS, PAST DEBTS or even FUTURE DEBTS..

In the medical field, there is a term called "TRIAGE" which refers to assessing the URGENCY of a patients care.

IE: If you walk into an ER and are turning blue and can't breath, you take presence over the broken arm, even though that patient has been waiting for 2 hours. THEY FOCUS ON THE CRTICAL SSUES...

So, although finances, debts, etc. ARE major factors here and need to be dwelled on and changed, the fact remains...

WE ARE FACING RADICALS AND THEY ARE BEHEADING AND KLLING PEOPLE AS WE READ!!!!

If living in the sticks of Louisiana has taught me one thing, it is this...

A customer who spent 2 years in prison for drugs explained this one day:

When you are in the penitentiary, most people belong to a group. You do not go up to another man and question him from another group. Say a man from another group comes to talk to me.

BAM... I lay him out before he ever says his first sentence.

It's how it works.

WHY? We alreay know we don't want that person in our group and that person cannot be trusted, therefore they are USELESS to us. I punch him one time to knock him out and set the stage for others not to come jack with me or our group.

IT MAY SOUND BARBARIC, BUT IT IS WHAT WORKS BEST FOR SURVIVAL IN A PLACE WHERE MANY ARE OF A VIOLENT AND UNCARING MIND SET ...

GET THEM BEFORE THEY GET YOU...

Well my friends...

It is a sad reality we are being pelted with heinous acts as we are with the current ISIS movement, etc...

But to TRIAGE our fine nation and to assist in securing the world's future, (we are not the only ones being brutilized)

we need a LEADER who does not tolerate this.

We have CLEARED OUT 2 UNITED STATES EMBASSY'S WITHIN 3 MONTHS!!!

NEVER is there a good time to downsize our military... NO COUNTRY SHOULD EVER DOWNSIZE THEIR FORCES.

It's STUPID! It makes us WEAKER! And it's the most disastrous move ANY President could ever make, regardless of any other mistakes he makes in offiice!!!!!!

Know WHY my ex-con customer says he hits first and knocks them out with one punch?

As long as he is feared, no one messes with him again.

NO ONE FEARS US ANYMORE...

THAT STEMS FROM A WEAK LEADERSHIP.

LIKE IT OR NOT-------

Bush Jr. was a far better LEADER, on THAT ONE PREMISE ALONE..

If someone can't see the URGENCY of this issue, I'm sorry.. No other way to put it. They are ignorant!

STOP TALKING ABOUT THE PAST, AND WORRYING OVER WHO WAS BETTER, WHO DID WHAT, YADA YADA...

IT DOESN'T MATTER! FOCUS ON WHAT IS RELEVANT, NOW!!!

AND AMERICA'S SAFETY COMES FIRST!

If you see a child playing in the road, you don't concern yourself with WHY they are there, or WHO is suposed to be watching them. YOU SECURE THE CHILD'S SAFETY FIRST AND ASK QUESTIONS LATER!

COMMON SENSE PEOPLE!

WAKE UP!!!

OUR SAFETY IS AT RISK!!!!

Hoping4Love2000 I'm not a lesbian but girl I could kiss your little redneck lips! I truly think you have voiced what the majority of the American people are feeling. The only way that those who voted for the president both times and still love him and consider him doing a good job will only be realized once he finally leaves office and gets the hell out of the White House.

The latest thing that has happened and scares the freaking hell out of me is Holder resigning and being appointed to the Supreme Court! I'm sure the president will go around Congress AGAIN  and does whatever the hell he wants! I guess time will tell and that should be less than a month? God help us because no one else will...neither Democrats or Republicans.

Government's first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives. President Ronald Reagan

Quoting leonicvirgo:

One would find it difficult to dispute, the economy Obama was handed from George Bush Junior, and I stress the Jr. By the end of Obama's Administration, a Surplus will be left; adding to the treasury. Obama added billlions to the Treasury, when The US Citizen's stake in Too Big To Fail Companies Stocks were sold for Profit. Most of the average General Public knows of the corruption of mortgages by the Derivative market, worldwide. Some Nations are still on the brink of default, from that event. The American People owned those stocks. Naturally, we could look at the Chrysler Loan during the Reagan Era. Was he a socialist for giving Crysler a hand? What about the Thrift Market Scandal? Bailouts there?

Some blame Clinton, for giving first time, and no down payment mortgage American workers a chance to own a home, and allow a worker some pride of life. This, psychologicaly, helps people breath easier, and dream a little dream. I hear, here, that 2008 was Clinton's fault. How can that be? Was it debated with Gore, in 2000? It would seem, it was working fine then, and through the beginnings of the Bush JR. Admin. We see a common theme here, and following the money trail would be advised.

I can understand the reasons, a right leaning group would create a 6 year side show. They lack realistic vision. Usually, when I Brainstorm, I can usually think of 2-3 ways to solve a problem. This creates debate with Me, Myself,& ID( The Balances). We heard, over 5 years ago, that 50 was the new 30. 70 definately is the new 50.

This is due to technology. The Baby Boomers will be a significant voting public by 2016(15-20%?( Woman dominant). Put the 25-45's in the voting mix (Woman dominant), and the hand ruling, is the cradle rocking hand.

The best debate here, would be a cumulative, line item. Ive done MY research. Those threads I deleted were damaging to some diatribe, spewing from some Millionaire+ Comentators mouth. There are truth websites out on that vast WWW. One must research the finites of TRUTH, to sustain FACT! How many others, research the truth?

Hey Stanley, don't you think it's about time to cue up another record... you've been singing this same song for quite a while now.

Come to think of it you might want to post a new photo.  The one you have, with those sinister looking sunglasses, dates back to the Bush administration and might account for your inability to view things clearly.  Perhaps you could post one wearing those government supplied "rose colored glasses" that caused you to claim a "rosy" surplus at the end of Obama's Presidency.  As far as I can determine, the only thing to be in surplus are your delusions.

The CBO projects a cumulative deficit for 2014, 15 and 16 to be approx. $1.2 trillion.  I challenge you to provide creditable evidence to dispute the CBO estimates.

The total debt will be $19-20 trillion when Obama leaves office and that doesn't include the government's unfunded liabilities for Social Security, Medicare and Federal Employees' future retirement benefits to be $60 Trillion.... yes, trillion.
