My dear bloggers; I write this from this most amazing place we call Marrakech. I came here for a weeks R and R and golf to get away from the stress and strain of life back in old Blighty; I imagine you are all collectively yawning at this point, but i wanted to share a moment from my day with you. Imagine the scene. It is late afternoon and the gold/orange glow of the sun is just tickling the tall minarets as it makes its way down to sleep . The air is warm and spicy a slight breeze is moving the palms near where we stand on the 14th tee. I stand ready to take my shot and i Look up. Before me in the distance stand the majestic Atlas Mountains , their tall caps covered in snow glowing crystal clear against a clear azure blue sky, my eyes move down taking in the shapes of the Moorish architecture down through the palms and across the green of the fairway to where I stand. In the distance I hear the call to prayer for the faithfull and for a moment, just one precious moment time stands still. It is perfect and I realise how lucky I am to be here. It is a snapshot that will for ever remain in my minde eye. Travel is such a gift , do any of you have one magical moment to share?

well Jim I disabled the winks for a reason..... to weed out the men from the boys. If you are interested in a woman then why not just drop them a line or two to say so. Winks mean nothing

This is my magical moment experienceD...and have told this stories many times over the years. When I was 5,6, 7, 8, 9 years old living in a remote area in the Philippines, we used to received calendars from our relatives that have been living here in the U.S. Year after year, I saw similar scenes like a father and a son fishing somewhere in a lake. The water is still and glossy and seemingly calm. In my mind, I used to visualize to experience such a thing! Lo and behold! I was un-officially adopted by these family that resides in Wisconsin. On my second visit, my un-official adopted father and brothers decided to take me fishing in the lake. They all taught me the basic skills of fishing! We got on this little boat and putter around the lake for awhile till they found the perfect spot and lower the anchor. We all casts our fish line/hooks and wait for the fish to bite. At that moment, I look around and I started to cry! They all looked at me with this big ??? in their head... I told them that I have visualized this moment since I was a child! The lake was smooth like silk, it was like glass, still and quite...you could hear a pin drop, I am with my father and brothers...A MOMENT I WILL NEVER FORGET! A TRANQUILL LOVING MOMENT...A PICTURE TO REMEMBER!

I can relate. The first time I ever saw Lake Yellowstone in Yellowstone National park. I came over a crest and there it was. The magnificent lake surrounded by towering green fir trees and thermals everywhere emitting smoke with the Grand Tetons in the background. The sky was bright blue and the sun was glimmering upon the lake at a perfect angle. I will never forget the moment. I have been back to the same spot several times since then. It is always breathtaking but I never could recreate the original experience. I have had other incredible moments in my travels but this one seems to go hand in hand with your experience.
