" WHAT IS SATYRIASIS? Satyriasis is excessive, abnormal, or uncontrollable sexual/romantic behavior, desire, and excitement in the male. WHAT CAUSES SATYRIASIS? Satyriasis is believed to be caused by extreme narcissism, which is a state in which one interprets and relates everything to oneself and not to other people or things. Any feelings of inferiority (feeling one is not as good as someone else in something) is controlled by conquering females in a sexual way. Some believe that the cause of satyriasis is biological as opposed to psychological, or even a combination of the two. WHAT IS SOMEONE WITH SATYRIASIS CALLED? A person who displays satyriasis is known as a Don Juan. Don Juan's usually have many female sexual partners. ARE THERE TREATMENTS FOR SATYRIASIS? Yes. One treatment option for satyriasis is to see a psychologist so that possible psychological issues that may be leading to the abnormal sexual behaviors are explored and dealt with. A psychologist is a non-medical doctor that specializes in psychology, the study and profession concerning behavior and the related functions and processes of both the mind and body, in human and non-human animals. Another possibility is to see a psychiatrist to receive medications that can decrease sexual desire. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor that specializes in psychiatry, a medical specialty that deals with the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders of the mind, emotions, and behavior. In general, psychiatrists can prescribe medications and psychologists cannot. Some antidepressant medications (drugs that cause people to feel less depressed) are known to cause decreased sexual interest. Someone can see a psychologist and a psychiatrist at the same time. A much more serious and drastic option is castration. Castration is surgery to remove the private parts, or part of the private parts, such as the testicles. This option is usually only selected by criminals who feel that they cannot control their urges to have sex with others, sometimes by force. WHAT IS SATYRIASIS IN WOMEN CALLED? Since only men are diagnosed with satyriasis, women have their own term, which is nymphomania. Nymphomania has traditionally been viewed as a psychological and sexual disorder of women characterized by excessive desire and impulses to engage in sexual activities and achieve sexual satisfaction. However, it is no longer listed in the most recent version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. WHAT ELSE IS SATYRIASIS KNOWN AS? Satyriasis is also known as satyrism, satyromania, and Don Juanism." source: MedFriendly

The Wedding Test My wonderful girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and we decided to get married. There was only one little thing bothering me - it was her beautiful younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, wore very tight miniskirts, and usually was bra-less. One day "little" sister called and asked me to come over to check wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived, and she whispered to me that she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome. She told me that she wanted to make love to me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. Well, I was in total shock and couldn't say a word. She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want one last WILD fling, just come up and get me." I was stunned and frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. When she reached the top she pulled off her panties and threw them down the stairs at me. I stood there for a moment, then turned and made a bee-line straight to the front door. I opened the door and headed straight toward my car. Lo and behold, my entire future family was standing outside, all of them clapping. With tears in his eyes, my future father-in-law hugged me and said, "We are very happy that you've passed our little test..................we couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family!" And the moral of this story is: Always keep your condoms in your car!!

Quoting author: Hi, I am going to seriously look this up because this doesn't sound like one of your *funny* blogs. seriously, as much as I try to bring humor on these blogs, there are just some things that hit close to home. I knew a man like this, I would however add a few more diagnosis' to him though. Thanks for the info.

There are definitely men like this, and women. I once met a woman who estimated that she had been to bed with about 1000 men before age 40, sometimes four at a time. AND, there would have been many more but she was married most of the time and couldn't get out easily. Another bragged that she had bedded 43 men in three months and they all fell in love with her, another claimed 25 men in a week in a contest with her girlfriend. Another woman said her ex-husband visited at least 3 or 4 women per day, with each woman under the impression that they had "wore him out". She said if they only knew. And yes, they all had real head problems.

i know two men who could qualify for that title. One has a big tool and always mentions it to every female he has ever met,,within a few mintues. He is an afflicted aries...poor guy. But he has had sex with an amazing number of more than willing partners. I don think he has ever loved any one else but himself. The other is much differnt but he is just so damn attractive. Hes short and only a 6.5 but he has that "something" women just go nuts for. He also happens to be a very good friend of mine whom I love.( not romantically) He is totally honest and that alone saves a lot of grief. One time we were shopping for plumbing supplies and he was shamelessly flirting with girl right in front of me so I smacked both his ears and told him to show some restraint in my presence ! He is trying to change, really change himself to be faithful as he has met a woman he has grown to love and she wont put up with bs.

Well, I was kinda wanting to be one, until I got to the part that said I would be narcissitic and would need to see a shrink or in severe cases be castrated. Sure cooled me off and changed my mind. lol However, nymphomania, still looks pretty good to me. lol
