mountain climbing is rough and life can be so tough the journey should be shared if someone you love ever cared for a learning experience it'll be you'll just have to try it and see for it won't be very easy for it may get very breezy for I have tried but sat and cried for the top I've reached never but try I will forever for now life is about to change and the top will be in my range for it'll be a success but very hard I confess Thanks for the advice for you are very nice now the top I'll reach and myself I'll teach

the more I learn ,the more certain I become, that the only thing I know is, that I know nothing.

You can see things differently from the top of a mountain. I have climbed many in WV during my years. I used to tell my children if you have a job, you do it to the best of your ability. I am so proud of my children they have climbed many mountains. As I look back at my life every mountain I have climbed has taught me a vital lesson. I think all of us would like to know what it feels like to actually be on the top all the time. But, we should never loose the desire to climb. Even at this age I'm climbing and reaching because without that desire life is over.

Six- You have NO idea how profound those words you picked out for me are. Oh my gosh...fret and angst about tomorrow are what I do about life sweet man! I don't want to miss it!!! Yet, I do because it's today I can't seem to savor in the midst of it all! I want so badly to embrace and live for To-day!!! UGH!!! Lord, let my cup overflow today I pray!!! Let yesterday rest in peace and let tomorrow be where it may...a gift should it be your will!!!

Six, At this time in my life I also feel like "the fastest slow runner". Only because it's the first time in my life that I could, at any other time I would have been devoured if I hadn't run fast....now I feel safe...You are a wise man indeed.

There is your movie or book idea,,,,,,Call it the Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. Based on your story. Lived a life full of struggles in your climb to the top and the bad things you have done and the ugly things that you have experienced along the way and the good when you finally reach the pinnacle of your climb you realize all the things you have missed along the way,all the bad you transgressed to others, all the things you did not share with someone special, and finally to find yourself alone and now wanting to fill that void that was left at the bottom of the mountain.(Someone to share in the climb with) But the best thing is the realization of this, it is never too late. Learning and loving is part of life. All of it, the good the bad and the ugly. Jess

Mr Sixtilio: I can identify with this topic - at certain times in my life more than others. It is perplexing - the "Climb Every Mountain" thought. I have learned over the years that if mountains are to be climbed it is best to have a few knowledgeable Sherpas along as well as a few experienced climbers...... I speak metaphorically, of course. My point is simple....to me, part of success means having an understanding that I am not an expert on everything and cannot do all things on my own.....knowing my limits and reaching out for help when needed. Perhaps this is a rather humble attitude, but it has helped me through my life both personally and professionally. The climb to the top - if taken with others, can be a more rewarding experience. Not only did we succeed, but we opened ourselves up to an opportunity to learn more and have a more robust experience than had we gone it alone. My climb to the top continues, there are days it seems longer and longer. Surrounding myself with wonderful people makes the journey that much more rewarding. Best, NKP

Sixtillo Thank you for sharing this topic, in my experience 'success' does mean surpassing every little tests and problems we encounter on a daily basis. It is getting through life with a positive outlook! I wouldn't look up at someone who amassed a fortune and yet have live a solitary sad life as successful. Hence, in my opinion, success is the presence of happiness in each and everyone's life!

I don't think the system pushes us up the mountain. We are driven within ourselves. All my life not one person (friends, family, spouse, anyone) ever say, you can do it. They were just waiting for me to fall. So they can say how foolish it was for me to make the attempt, but hey at least I tried, right. When I started my journy up the first mountain. I had lots of people waiting and congradulating me on my start, secretly hoping that I would fail just like them. The higher I got, the fewer remained. As I looked down from the peak, no one was left to have a party with or even chat about the adventure. Those who I thought was my cloest friends left long time ago. When I reached 1/2 way point, only 1 child remained. All my family but one turned their back and walked away. Further I climbed even he too turn his back and walked away. My future looks bright and getting brighter with passing of each day. For my next goal is within my grasp, not just some vague misty fog but real and solid as concrete. As I set off to my next goal, the only person there is myself. I have been disowned by my friends and family. I travel the next road alone.

This was wonderful to read. Thank you Six. I now live on a mountain and find that this experience has changed me in ways that I could never have imagined. This is one of the blogs that I have written about my experience here. My Committment to the Sun Rising on The Mountain. 18-OCT-06 In the early morning hours when the sun is rising over the horizon, I step outside my front door and look down from my mountain at all the other purple colored mountains and the valleys between them. I often ponder about how many other people have done the same thing as I now do, for thousands of centuries...as they looked at this view. I am reminded of how small, we as humans, are in the greater scheme of life and time...scientists say these mountains are the oldest in the world. Dating back to the prehistoric times. Cave men were here! Imagine, for a moment, all the people, the civilizations, all the religions that have been here and gone...over millions of years. Gods, Goddesses, kings, queens, people like us, people like them, they must have all been here... And now I am. Just a blink in the passage of time.

People may not remember what you say or do, but they will remember how you made them feel.

i always find your posts illuminating. This echoes what one very wise man (who was much like you) taught me about the World. The masses dont care about the mountain, they may not even see it. They may not ever even look up in their entire lives. There are mouths to feed, ladders to climb, posessions to pursue, petty wants and useless trikets to covet. These things cover the eyes and dilute the hearing of those in the Valley. The men and women of true vision are few and far between. The Mountain calls to their very soul and they must answer. They run because not to is akin to a slow death. The Visionaries cry with delight and joy of their discoveries, knowing what they have learned could be the answer to so many hardships. But their voices fall on deaf ears. Somehow, they continue to seek other mountains, others paths to run and do not loss heart. They learn to be the fastest slow runner..and quietly teach those who do hear them to climb mountains, too.
