If you have paid for your membership using a credit card, then I advise all paying members to check their credit card statements. Today, I was checking on a transaction and the person I was talking to just happened to ask me why I was still using my old credit card number. I told him I wasnt'. He then informed me that Millionaire Match attempted to put through $86.38 yesterday. Fortunately, the number is no longer valid and they put a stop on the transaction. Someone has clearly compromised this system, only my number no longer works. I paid only for one month, and my membership is not due to expire until June 8. So MM would not even be attempting to auto-bill me until June 7. Which I have cancelled the auto bill. So check your statements!

Hey G, yes all is well on this homefront. Attending a wedding Saturday from a couple who were high school friends, but never dated in high school. Her comment last weekend when I met the bride to be..."I've waited 30 yrs for this moment." I've noticed alot of people our age marrying old girl/boyfriends or just friends from high shchool. RE: This MM credit card issue. I wrote back to MM and told them their answer was unsatisfactory. They wrote back telling me to check my statement again, that MM doesn't keep credit card information. I can't check, because there is no statement to check. The card is no longer valid as of Feb. 2007. It was the credit card company that notified me of the attempted transaction! They thought I was trying to still used my old card number. Also, it is a false statement by MM to tell me that they don't keep credit card information. The auto-bill don't they? DUH!!! The transaction was put through as Millionaire Match, and a different phone number was used than the phone number that is quoted with the 'real' MM's charge to my account. So I'm thinking someone employed at MM stole my 'old' credit card number and tried to use it for their own personal gain. Luckily for me it is invalid. Here is the bigger picture that crosses my mind. $86.38 is not a large amount; therefore, could easily go unnoticed on someone's credit card statement. If you multiply small amounts such as $86.38 by thousands of members you come up with millions of dollars!!! It's called fraudulent theft!!! It's a Federal offence in Canada & US. I wrote MM back and pointed this out to them. I wonder what lame response I will get. I expect it to be looked into. I spoke to VISA's fraud department this morning and they said they would have someone contact MM. I'm just one voice, but I can't imagine someone would only try to steal $86.38. But $86.38 from alot of different accounts makes more sense. That's why I want people to carefully check their credit card statements. Are there charges from MM, that have been processed on a date that is not the usual posting date, for an amount they shouldn't be charged for? So PAYING MEMBERS of MM...go back and check your credit card statements for any transactions that have been put through as MILLIONAIRE MATCH...not Successful Match. There must be more than myself out there.

I consider that someone...either an employee of MM, or an outsider breaking into MM's system and stealing credit card numbers serious. I reported it to MM, and asked for an explanation as to how this could happen. Here is the reply MM sent back to me this morning: Dear member, Sorry to hear this. We have stopped billing and your membership will expire on 07-JUN-07. Your last charge was made on 08-May-07. What else can we do for you? Best wishes, Customer Service http://www.MillionaireMatch.com I expected something a little more substantial than, "Sorry to hear this."

Here is another story that I was just told this morning by a long time male MM'r. He said that last week a female contacted him. He didn't contact her back over the long weekend, and she went psycho on him. He said it was pretty scary stuff. She apparently is able to log onto him on the system. She is somehow "chatting" with people, and then getting them to call him. He wrote to MM regarding her, and MM told him she was not a member. So be careful people...MM's system does not seem to be secure.

Alluring...I might not have explained myself well. I understand the concept of auto-bill. But my auto-bill was not due to happen until June 8. Also, my autobill would only be in the amount of $24.95 Cdn on my statement. I gave MM my new credit card information. I don't think it was Millionaire Match that actually put the $86.38 USD transaction through on an old number. I believe it was someone who has hacked into their system.

Hi Sharp I was informed if you purchase 1 month membership it is "automatic" that they bill you for the next month. The only way to cancel the one month billing, is to phone in and cancel your membership. If you purchase 3 months at a time it is NOT automatic billing. That's the info I got from MM on the phone a few months ago. Alluring

Thanks for the heads up. My membership was only good for 30 days and they went ahead and automatically signed me up for another month...at least I think it's just a month! I'll be certain to check into it right away, thank you! @-->-- XHeartNSoulO
