When I am on the receiving end of honking or holloering, which is rare, I just smile and give them my big parade wave in the mirror, like I must know them. I'm a bit of a "nudge".

OMG, this is SO true! I thought it was my imagination, but when I'm in the Viper or Porsche, you'd think the frikkin' President was in the passenger seat, but in the HUMMER . . . I get NO respect.

lmao!! Your blogs and comments crack me up! Keep up the good work and get the f*## out of MY lane! Sorry I was just practicing in case I find myself in your neck of the woods! We get all the snowbirds from back east that live here in the winter driving on our streets. Golf carts driving on the road too! Arizona was ranked #1 in auto thefts last year. Its a proud moment for us lol, jk... Not too much road rage here but lots of aggressive drivers. The worst traffic Ive been in was in Chicago. 2 hour "rush hour" commute. LOL We were only driving a distance of 18 miles. It was awful.

Agr8smyl... Yeh... That's Miami, for ya, Sounds like nothings changed. Indiana, is actually a very kind state, as far as dealing with people directly. After traveling around, now, I get the " Hoosier Hospitality, " slogan, but interestingly enough, we have our share of crazy drivers too ! And strangely enough, What your driving, seems to make a difference, as well... When I'm driving the Vette, people, men & women, will stop a whole line of traffic to let me in, same thing when I drive the Pathfinder, but when I'm driving the Big Dodge Ram Truck, people treat me Sooo different. At first I thought I was imagining things, but it's consistant. So, I find if I not having the best day, to drive the Vette, it just looks like so much fun I guess, that it changes one's attitude around me.. : )

Minneapolis was ranked one of the "most courteous driver" states. We were also ranked the healthiest state for 2006. We also hold the record for the coldest Januarys. Courteous drivers, healthiest state but coldest Januarys??...hhhmmmm... Miami, Denver, Boston and San Diego all sound MUCH better!

I lived in Palm Beach and do remember the crazy drivers in that entire area. Especially in Miami where they yell in other languages and the traffic is always bad. I recall driving from the Miami International airport on one of those crazy days. Wall to wall cars moving at a very slow pace. I looked out my window and saw a womans body laying on the ground face down...it took about 10 mins to get past her and the ambulances had still not arrived. She had been thrown out of a car and no one stopped...it was a scene I will never forget. I am sure she was dead. South Florida is known for its older residents. Maybe more in the area I was in. So many of the older folks would drive very slow and barely be able to see over the driving wheels. Sometimes they would drive down the sidewalks or the wrong side of the roads. Many times they simply could not see the stop lights....good old South Florida. The biggest problems with traffic seemed to be when the hurricans came. Everyone waited until the last moment to leave as no one really knew if they were going to land. I am sure you know what I mean. People in cars lined up for hours trying to get out of Florida. It was too crazy for me and so I looked up the best temperature in the US and ended up here, on a mountain. No traffic problems up here, well, except for dodging the rabbits that are around this time of the year.....

People may not remember what you say or do, but they will remember how you made them feel.

You'd think the Dallas Fort Worth area would be number 1 with all the shootings we have been having for the past 2-3 years over road rage incidents

Bambi, LA was in the top five. Genie, In my "past life" I ran promotions at the Blue Door. As Borat would say, it's good for make sexytime! Kari, Actually after living in Boston for four years and visiting NY, LA and Vegas, I think our traffic situation is far better than those cities. I'm not sure why people here are so damn short-tempered? Maybe it's the property taxes!!

Bambi, I like LA they warn you of bad neighborhoods by wrapping the hwy signs in razor wire. I can not for the life of me understand traffic there, moving fine and all of a sudden they slam on brakes for no reason.

wow good job you do not live here, I live in a part of Toronto where a lot of immigrants have settled, I actually pay higher rates of auto insurance because the accident level is higher than the norm for Canada. I can not say what race they are because that would be considered racist, but what ever area they are from their peripheral vision has to be impaired. Road rage happens to me at least once a day, if you consider me yelling at them from behind my wheel. Canada is not like Florida, things here get a lot worse in teh winter, add ice or snow to the road and see what happens.
