All I could do was laugh at poooooor Paris Hilton for trying to blame everyone else in her life for her probation violation. Im trying to reason the fact that she's young and doesn't really get the fact that no one's buying what she's selling. lmao @ her publicist, her agent, and her lawyer NOT informing her that she cannot drive while on probation. Ummm, I guess she forgot when she stood in front of the Judge who verbally told her the terms of her probation. Not to mention her signature agreeing to those terms. She said it wasnt her fault for signing those papers cause she used to someone reading everything for her and she didnt read those court papers herself. lmao! But you have to really love the letter thats floating around to the Gov. of California asking him for a pardon for poor Paris. lmao! Hey Paris here's a few sobering FACTS you dont seem to understand: 1. Your just a rich chick with limited education, and no "real" job. 2. Whoever told you that you're beauty uplifts the "common people" LIED TO YOU! 3. Money doesn't always buy your way out of things. 4. Karma is a mean mother ******! Be a big girl Paris. You committed a crime and its punishable by law. Do the time and quit whining that your too beautiful and that your uplifting to regular people. To bad she doesnt see that these 45 days will be the most important life changing days of her life. From the inside out for the first time in her life. She will see "regular" people and appreciate the things in her life on a whole new level.

Lets hope Paris serves enough time to understand the reason she's there to begin with. lol I can see the next reality show developing as we speak... Prisoner Paris doin' time.. Hearing her voice "thats hot" as they show her in her prison jumpsuit!!

hi newman, after reading your posts I would have to agree that although Paris can be obnoxious and she thinks she's above most... she does deserve to be safe and treated fairly behind bars. If Paris would actually do community service, and serve weekends in jail Id be all for that. However, were talking about someone that couldnt agree to do any community service to reduce her previous sentence. I hardly think she'd stick to the rules this time. Which would put her, and us back to what sentence is fair. I mean how many people convicted of probation violation have the chance to discuss sentencing after the judge makes a ruling. Paris knew what she was doing and I think she might understand the severity of her crime if she does this time. It beats vehicular manslaughter which would be next.

She could serve 39 days and get off the last 6 for good behavior. (According to CNN). I think that serving a little time will certainly bring her down a few pegs off the pedestal she sits on. It still cracks me up that there is a petition to have the Govenor pardon her. lmao! This experience will be life changing for Paris.... I think it will humble her and bring her head out of the clouds. To listen to her speak about her sentence almost makes me ill. She is clueless when it comes to understanding that she's no different than anyone else when it comes to how the law works. That her family name, and money only take her so far. Reality check time. As for how she'll be treated in jail Im sure they'll handle it a lot like when Martha Stewart went to jail.

Ditto to what mailorderman said about young girls idolizing her, and setting an example. Did I read in someone else's post that she should be set free to continue doing good for her community? Um...what good things does she do? Is she like Princess Di and goes to Leprosy colonies/hospitals to hold their hands and console them in their agony? If so, well, I might reconsider my thoughts about her going to prison. Otherwise, please spell out the goodness, because to me, she is just a show piece the media has created for many young followers to idolize her. My 18 yrs old and her friends don't think to highly of her, and they know more about her than I do. What age group is she popular with...I'd suspect the most influential and vulnerable ages. She's not setting a good example for them.

Well George, under the circumstances that mailorderman just explained, I'd like to see Paris in an orange outfit picking up trash along the highways too, with a new inmate hairstyle! If she gets off again, she'll do it again. Next time, she might kill someone. All safety nets need to be pulled for this gal in order for her to truly learn her lesson and maybe wise up! mariechristine...Given the wealth of the Hiltons, I suspect Paris was probably raised by a live in nanny. Her parents were probably travelling on business or pleasure most of the time, and that's just not feasible to pull kids out of school. Her nanny(ies) probably knew her better than her parents.

Actually I have had second thoughts. I'm a bit of a softy really. I don't think she should be put into jail. I bet she is probably feeling pretty scared. I think she should serve community service instead, a bit like what george said. It would be a waste of tax payers money holding someone who would be more useful doing a job that gives back to the community. I'm not sure jail would be a safe place for someone like her. sarah :-)

Its good that she has a jail sentence as if she is never taught a lesson she will never learn. I don't think celebs should be given any special treatment. So maybe this will be a reality check for her. sarah :-)

I really can't believe her; where were her parents when she was growing up (trying to grow up)? Paris you are so very pathetic and sad, petitioning the Governator? More out of this world thinking; and quite the actions of a narcissist. Why not pay oodles of dough for a frickin lawyer like any other person who has the means would do? Who do you think you are? How very, very pathetic a spoiled brat you are. It's past time to grow up, and you need a good dose of reality. Jail time would be the best thing for you, you would see and smell how real people who are messed up, spend their time. Most alcoholics and drug addicts do end up in jail, sooner or later, without funds to keep them out. They are not rewarded with publicity, offered treatment at a spa and allowed to go on driving with a suspended license. Especially when a driver is available to you 24/7. Do tell, is it true blonds have more fun, or how many blonds does it take to read and understand some charges made against them. Maybe this event will finally make you grow as a person, and actually inspire you to behave like a woman of class, and use this time to reflect on what a privileged life you have, and what good you could do with it, instead of acting like a piece of trash and throwing your life there as well. Agree/disagree,sick of hearing about her antics or simply don't give a rat's ass about Paris? * Yes * No * Don't give a rat's ass.

so now to celebrity watch I have to monitor road gangs. Well that will save money cheaper than Malibu restaurants.

Boy George had to pick up garbage along the highways? That would have been a sight!

Mike...Yes it occurred to me, but if she actually had to spend 45 days in prison under the same conditions an average civilian would endure, do you think all that extra money would be worth it? Of course, she'll probably never see the inside of a prison. On the off chance she does, I'm sure her cell will be made up in the style of a Hilton Presidential Suite! Money talks!

has anyone realized yet how much money she will make out of the going to jail gig. Talk show rounds, either before she goes in or when she comes out. The story of her 45 day ordeal will sell for millions to the scandal rags. Paris is milking this for all its worth, she is not stupid, and do not think for a minute her publicist is driving everything she is doing. Poor little rich girl, just got a whole lot richer, and this may be her first "honest" money made.

As a successful businessman, I'm surprised that her daddy didn't teach her to NEVER sign a document without reading and knowing what you are signing first! None of us want to see our children go to jail to serve any amount of time. We are our kid's safety net. But sometimes we need to pull that safety net away and let them take the fall, in order for them to learn the lesson. For her own good, I hope Paris serves her time too. I heard on the News yesterday that if she is not acquitted, Arnold will probably pardon her. Apparently there is a petition by her fans on the Web for her to be pardoned. Maybe someone should start a petition on the web stating she should serve her time. I'm sure if put to a vote, more people feel she should go to jail. Hey...Sophie Loren served her time for tax evasion! Granted very luxuriously.

Money can't buy intelligence. She has enough money that she could have afforded a driver 24/7. There's no excuse. @-->-- XHeartNSoulO

I really hope she has to serve her time just like the rest of us. This was her third time, three strikes and your OUT!
