Where do you want to live right now at we speak??? I can only speak for myself when I say that I could live anywhere (except Alaska as you will read later on)!!! I grew up in NYC and loved it there. New York has everything from crime, to the subway, to the Ritz and the Hamptons. The people in NY are awsome!! Family oriented and down to earth kind of people. It was not easy leaving New York but I moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where it was pure heaven. After you get used to the bugs, the humidity and the heavy rains, it's beautiful. It's an easy laid back, comfortable and stressfree way of living. I also loved Florida, I think more than NY. I loved to walk to the stores in my bikini with no shoes on.. YES I didn't wear shoes.. Imagine that!!! I hardly wore any clothes when I lived in Florida. I would sit by the pool and chill out everyday. Everyone barbecued and had fun!!! Then just when I thought I had enough of fun, I moved to California. OMG when I got to Cali, my first thought was?. This is New York and Florida rolled up into one state!!! Dang.. If it wasn't for the people being so businesslike and constantly flaky I would have liked it the 1st year I moved there. But it took me like 5 years until the state grew on me!!! So now!! I think I can live anywhere and be happy!!! The boonies with the quiet nights listening the owls and bears going through your garbage at night!!! Wait Alaska? nope thats out. I am not moving to Alaska.. Although it has been said there are 10 guys to every female? hmmmmmmm let me see.. 10 guys and being cold. They could keep me warm ALL night!! Ahhh.. Nope I only need one man and it's not in Alaska!! Okay, I lived in the city with the roar and hum of the night life and the hussle and bustle. I lived in Gods country where I just sit and watch the waves of the ocean and drink pina coladas. Im ready for anything!! So what about you? where do you want to live today??? Tomorrow??? If the man of your dreams came along would you up and go??? I would if I could!!!

Hey Starfinder!! Your welcome!! I know all about the cold winter months!! I lived in New York for 24 years and now I stay in the sunshine states!! Maybe you should pick the state you want to live in and have that LDR with someone from there, so you can start planning to move the WARM weather!!! Hugs

Queen that is a beautiful blog. I often wonder the same thing about certain places regarding another person being in the very spot I am in and seeing the very same thing. Geniek just say when and come on out!!!

I live in Kokomo,IN which is nice but not really my home. I'd like to move back to the coast of Oregon but can't afford to right now. My son is out there with his girlfriend and I miss him very much. Hopefully before the end of the year, I can make it back home.

Hooterz. Let me know when you are coming to this area. It would be fun to meet you. Or maybe it would be a good time to gather others here as well... It is said that this range of moutains are the only ones that have both female and male energies. Not sure how they know this but it is what I have read in publications here that go out to all the people...This area is also the oldest recorded areas of civilizations in the world. Older than the pyramids in Eqypt...way back to prehistoric times. I did not know this when I moved here. This is a previous blog that I wrote about my experience on this mountain. My commitment to the sun rising on the mountain... 18-OCT-06 My Committment to the Sun Rising on this Mountain. In the early morning hours when the sun is rising over the horizon, I step outside my front door and look down from my mountain at all the other purple colored mountains and the valleys between them. I often ponder about how many other people have done the same thing as I now do, for thousands of centuries...as they looked at this view. I am reminded of how small, we as humans, are in the greater scheme of life and time...scientists say these mountains are the oldest in the world. Dating back to the prehistoric times. Cave men were here! Imagine, for a moment, all the people, the civilizations, all the religions that have been here and gone...over millions of years. Gods, Goddesses, kings, queens, people like us, people like them, they must have all been here... And now I am. Just a blink in the passage of time.

I do love this area, but am very far from normal...in fact would never want to be normal. Is anyone here normal? Heck, what is normal? Is it a state of mind or something that someone wrote in a book. Hmmmmm. I was never good at fitting into those boxes... This area is not known for its normal people. It is known for the large population of metaphysical and nature loving people...the moutains are filled with quartz veins and attract those who love the earth and its energies. There are no moose in this area, but I thought this was a great photo. Not a normal thing to see, but very interesting....

I have lived in Sarasota, FL for 28 years and, although this is a great town (one of the best in the USA)I hate the Summer climate and my heart is really in the country. No, not cowboy country, "God's Country". I grew up and spent my 20's in NW Michigan's resort area and still miss it - but not that climate, either! Too severe!!! So I'm thinking Western NC. Asheville, Hendersonville, or even farther West to the Hayesville Lake Chatuge area. Sure looks like paradise to me. Anyone care to join me?

Me and Geniek are moving to Whipville, TN!! Woohoo girl Shazbot - I want to go to Australia!! Funny thing happened on the way home from Vegas. I sat next to 2 of the cutest, funniest Australian men. We laughed and giggling the whole way to LAX and then shared a cab ride since they were going in my direction!! They are awsome people!!

Zorrow it's sounds wonderful!! But I bet I would be happy just about anywhere and if it was boring.. it wouldn't be boring for long with me around! Tell me... do you like to sit out on the porch early in the morning with a cup of coffee and listening to the birds. I use to do that when I would visit my Aunt in the Poconos!!

anyplace true love takes me. I was going to move to Australia before,,its a beautiful place and so diverse....talk about great beaches. my perfect place would be in the hills just off a warm tropical beach,,where I could have horses and lots of naked swimming..a music studio..some isolation but not totally alone, bug trees,,wild animals. clear blue sky.....and near enough to an airport that my world travels wouldnt have to start with a five hour drive to the Port.

I live about 30 miles south of where Zorrow is. My location has all that Asheville does, plus I am in the thermal belt! This is a magical area where the mountains join the flatlands of SC and is known for its moderate temperatures. I moved here to escape the heat and hurricans of Palm Beach Florida (I was raised in Minnesota) by looking on the internet for the best temperature in the US. Zorrow, we were also voted as the best place to move to. #1 on this list! Now I am the queen of my mountain and am living my dreams here with my two cats. This is the view from my porch...
